Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday Ministry of Sound, happy birthday to you. That’s right, Ministry of Sound is about to turn 18 – it’s now old enough to go clubbing! I want to be one of the first to wish this superclub many happy returns.
Many of London’s biggest superclubs have closed over the last year or so – think The End, Turnmills, The Key, The Cross and Canvas. The capital used to be known as a centre for clubbing so these closures hit the heart of the city’s nightlife scene hard. There are still a few superclubs in London left – and the almighty matter was a much-needed addition. However, Ministry has stood the test of time and the Ministry of Sound birthday is an even bigger deal because, not only has it been around for 18 years, it’s managed to survive the recession.
I’ve been going to MOS since I was a student and have always been a fan of its big line-ups. I’ve been a regular since they took over The Gallery, and saw Paul Oakenfold a few weeks ago. To celebrate its birthday, it’s going all out with not one, but two parties.

The first event is a Gallery special with Boy George, Judge Jules and Tall Paul all headlining. Tickets are available here. The next event on the Saturday is the one I’m really excited about as Sasha headlines. This is going to be huge. I reckon I could do the double... Ministry of Sound 18th birthday tickets are available now.
Turning 18 is always a big deal. My 18th birthday was so long ago my old brain barely remembers it (OK, I’m not THAT old!). Let’s help one of our last remaining superclubs celebrate in style.
Happy 18th MOS!
Along with you, am also wishing The Ministry of Sound - Happy Birthday. Come and join club community.
