The ultimate going out to dinner dilemma: You want sushi, your mate wants a cheeseburger, your other mate fancies a curry – then you just give it up as a lost cause and order in your respective takeaways. Oh, to be able to go to a restaurant where you can have everything everyone is in the mood for!
Well, as long as you’re craving British and/or Lebanese food, we have the solution. Noura, London’s upscale Lebanese stalwart, is nudging their way into the renowned Cookbook Cafe at the InterContinental Hotel. For July and August, Noura is taking up residency at the Cookbook Cafe (renowned for its family-friendly brunches) for lunch and dinner during July and August. Think of it as a foodie-style summer sublet.

On the Noura-at-Cookbook-Cafe menu are mezze selections and a la carte choices, with everything from moist, peanut-y falafel and doughy samboussek (a Lebanese samosa, with meat and cheese options available), grilled baby lamb chops, whole sea bass and half a lobster. And if falafel just ain’t your bag, the Cookbook Cafe’s burgers, steaks, chicken baguettes and veggie curry is still an option, plus their fabulous brunch, of course. Prices start at just £20 for enough food to fill you up and then some – not bad for Park Lane!
The only thing you’ll have left to choose is whether to go with a Lebanese wine or a European wine to top it all off. Decisions, decisions!
