Happy Birthday Big Chill House

Everyone’s been to Big Chill House – it’s a mainstay on the Kings Cross party scene and is always a popular choice for the area. I’m a fan of all the venues in the group, but I do have a soft spot for the house.
So I’m very happy to wish Big Chill House a very happy second birthday – on Thursday 21st August. And, in typical bar style they are having a huge party. Oh, and did I mention there will be free drinks? Shh don’t tell everyone!
Starting at 8pm and carrying on into the wee hours, the free to get into party is sure to be massive. Big Chill House has gained its kudos over the years, hosting private parties for everyone from …

The Heat is On

My, my, hasn’t it been hot this week? The View London office has been somewhat of a furnace the last few days, which makes the lure of beer gardens all the stronger.
You only have to walk down any street in the capital when the sun is high to experience the festival atmosphere of people, beer in hand, laughing, drinking and lapping up the rare UK rays.
However, if you’re bored of standing beside a busy road and are looking for bars for outdoor drinking it can be a bit of a nightmare. It’s not like we’re in the …

By George! Kate Moss Saves the Day

You may remember a short while ago I told you about a fight to save celebrity favourite the George Tavern (see Celebrities on the Campaign Trail). With Kate Moss and troubled Amy Winehouse (who really should stick to soft drinks at the pub now) included in a list of famous regulars, let’s face it, they always stood a good chance.
Just to recap your memories, the problem was there were plans for development of a five-storey block of flats next door to the tavern, which is loved for its light and the fact it’s detached from any other building, which, …

Beardyman and the Fake Taches

Ahh Beardyman. Cutting edge beatboxer and UK Champion. He.Is.The.Man! Anyone who’s ever heard him beatbox will agree he always tears it up, and it’s great that urban music is becoming so popular with the masses – well it beats cheesy pop, right?
So when I heard about his next gig I was really excited… Well, kind of. I do have a slight conflict going on in my mind… Let me explain.
I love Beardyman and his gig on Thursday 31st July is a totally free event with no annoying overpriced tickets. That said, there IS a door policy – to get in you must don facial hair (don’t worry ladies, it can be fake). Think beards, moustaches, general facial hair – I’m praying for a few bushy sideburns!
Once inside there are some really …

Could You Be The Next Kate Moss?

Lily Cole, Kate Moss, Agyness Deyn, Kelly Hussey... OK, maybe not, although I AM 5’11 and I could sit about posing all day on a beach somewhere glamorous! Sorry models out there, I know it’s actually hard work – ahem.
If you’ve always had a beautifully shaped eye on the modelling industry then this may be your chance at hitting the big time. Maybe that could be you sashaying from party to party, rubbing shoulders with A-listers and looking stunning on the covers of the magazines. Who knows? Well, if that’s your thing then you’ll be interested to know that Revive Juice Bars are working in conjunction with Storm modelling agency (yes, that’s the famous one) to find …
