Singing the Praises of Seafood

Although it seems like we complain about the weather a lot here at ViewLondon, there’s just something about a warm summer’s day that makes us want to be on a tropical island somewhere. And equally, there’s something about a downright cold summers day that makes us want to be on a tropical island somewhere, too.
And whilst the weather may be acting like October, believe it or not it’s actually August and seafood is in season. If you’d like taste of summer even if the weather isn’t cooperating, there’s plenty of places in London celebrating crustaceans.

Summer Picnics

So a couple of months ago we told you about the must-have picnics for summer 2008. Well, guess what? The summer’s not quite over yet and we’ve got loads more picnic options for all you Londoners hungry for some alfresco dining (and the chance of getting a tan while you eat).
Carluccios has updated their summer picnic stash with three new hampers, including one for the kiddies. We’ve already told you about the one that’s got meatloaf in, but we can’t help but be tempted by the one with lamb cutlets. There’s veggie options too, of course, and the kids’ version includes …

Of course, the free burger comes at a price – luckily not a monetary one. All you have to do is dress up like a Batman character (and they don’t have to be from the latest …

Cookery Classes

So remember last week when we told you about this really cool cookery course we tried? Turns out cookery courses are something of a trend at the moment – credit crunch, mayhaps? – and us Londoners are doin’ it for ourselves. Looks like that whole DIY thing is really catching on.
We’ve got two brand new cookery courses to report about to you at the moment. First up are the cookery classes at Moti Mahal, who are absolute legends when it comes to producing first class Indian cuisine. …
