Summer Picnics

Posted by: Michelle Court 06/08/2008 @ 19:57

So a couple of months ago we told you about the must-have picnics for summer 2008. Well, guess what? The summer’s not quite over yet and we’ve got loads more picnic options for all you Londoners hungry for some alfresco dining (and the chance of getting a tan while you eat).

Carluccios has updated their summer picnic stash with three new hampers, including one for the kiddies. First came last weekend’s Thai Food Festival, making a welcome return from last year’s absence. But if you missed that one though, don’t worry – you can still get your Thai food fix. Head over to Greenwich Park from 9th to 10th August and you can see one of London’s favourite green spaces transformed into a Thai village. We can’t decide what we’re looking forward to most …

First, they brought you the Boris burger.

Now, they’re taking on the Caped Crusader.

That’s right, Gourmet Burger Kitchen is joining the fight for justice in Gotham City. The best way to fight crime? Free burgers, of course! (Hey, it works for us!)

Of course, the free burger comes at a price – luckily not a monetary one. All you have to do is dress up like a Batman character (and they don’t have to be from the latest …

Subject: Restaurants

So remember last week when we told you about this really cool cookery course we tried? Turns out cookery courses are something of a trend at the moment – credit crunch, mayhaps? – and us Londoners are doin’ it for ourselves. Looks like that whole DIY thing is really catching on.

We’ve got two brand new cookery courses to report about to you at the moment. First up are the cookery classes at Moti Mahal, who are absolute legends when it comes to producing first class Indian cuisine. …
