So remember last week when we told you about this really cool cookery course we tried? Turns out cookery courses are something of a trend at the moment – credit crunch, mayhaps? – and us Londoners are doin’ it for ourselves. Looks like that whole DIY thing is really catching on.

We’ve got two brand new cookery courses to report about to you at the moment. First up are the cookery classes at Moti Mahal, who are absolute legends when it comes to producing first class Indian cuisine. …

There have been some strange things on the news lately, but none more puzzling than the information that the UK is one of the biggest food wasters around. Ok, we’re all guilty of making a bit extra now and then, but we were planning on eating it, honest! Turns out that we cook enough extra food at dinner to feed at least an extra 19 million people. To cook, or not to cook? That’s usually the question you ask yourself on the way home from work, stuck on the tube and dreading the prospect of fighting the crowds at your local Tesco. But thanks to L’atelier des Chefs, a new cookery school that’s just opened up by Oxford Circus, it can be a question you ask yourself at lunchtime, too.

L’atelier des Chefs has a host of cookery schools in France and they’ve just crossed the Channel to teach us Londoners how it’s done. Although the capital’s gotten quite a reputation over the past four years for being a foodie destination, even we can admit that we could use some help every now and then when it comes to cooking… ok, maybe a bit more than every now …

The ultimate going out to dinner dilemma: You want sushi, your mate wants a cheeseburger, your other mate fancies a curry – then you just give it up as a lost cause and order in your respective takeaways.
