The End is Nigh for Turnmills

Decades from now, we’ll be sitting down in front of the fire, snuggling up with 10 grandchildren and telling them about of a time when there was a club so amazing, so fabulous that you spent night after night queuing in the rain just to walk through its doors. A time when the likes of Tall Paul, Judge Jules and The Chemical Brothers would pump out ‘da choons’ and have you dancing like a lunatic on speed until the wee hours. A time when Turnmills reigned supreme.
OK, so maybe some things are better left in the past. And soon, that’s all Turnmills will be – a ghost of good times past, the only things to remember it by will be the memories of you having some of the best nights out in your life!
It is with heavy hearts and a tear in the eye, then, that ViewLondon prepares to wave its final sorry farewell to this clubbing legend. Will anything in clubland ever be the same again? We think not.

Usually we can’t wait for the Easter Bank Holiday weekend – an extra, glorious day of weekend to enjoy. We don’t even care if it rains, which itt inevitably does as thousands of families go off to spend miserable weekends in caravans. But not now. Now we count the days off the calendar with an impending sense of doom weighing heavily on our shoulders. For this is the last weekend of Turnmills. Come 23rd March it will close its doors for the last time.
Hey, quit your snivelling – it’s not all bad news. You know what this means, right? Why, a three day bender to say goodbye, of course! Yup, that’s right, Turnmills isn’t one to do anything by halves so the sadly named ‘Last Weekend’ event will last an entire three days and will include all of the DJ greats who have helped make this club the huge success it is. And hey, March is still some way off – there’s still time to buy Turnmills tickets for the biggest club nights in East London. Get in there, before it’s too late!
Until that dreaded day comes, we’ll see you on the dancefloor!

Turnmills is overated, I mean yeh the music is good and everything but the tickets are so bloody expensive for what you get. Totally not worth it if you're a skint student like me.

The turnmills last weekend is the best excuse I've heard in a while to properly party on down for three days straight. Bad hangover here I come!

Yes turnmills is a good club, but there are plenty of other superclubs out there like the well established Ministry of Sound and of course, Fabric, so its not as if there's no where left in London.
