The best place to see mainstream movies in central London.

Why?

It's in the details:
- extra wide, sink-in, quality seats (are they leather?)
- the air doesn't feel stuffy and dry during the show
- nice waiting area
- easy to find your screen with no crazy winding corridors
- quality furnishings throughout the building
- unlike the major chains, they don't turn the full house lights on the second the end credits start to roll and allow you to take your time
- quality toilets

If all this sounds pretty straight-forward stuff then why do so many of the major chains get it so wrong? You can sense they've invested here and it makes a difference. Prices are the same as most other west-end venues which are not half as nice as this one.

Do yourself a favour and watch your movies here, you'll enjoy the occasion much more.

Maybe the big chains will then wake up if customers start voting with their feet and they might themselves invest in some of their awful 1970s style venues.

This cinema is fantastic for short people like myself as all the seating areas are fully tiered and the screens are big. The sound system is also fantastic, nice and loud (though not too loud), which I cannot say for other cinemas. I recommend this cinema for real cinema lovers, it is one of London's best cinemas in my opinion, especially in the West End.

I can't believe I've paid money yesterday at Apollo Piccadilly Circus - it doesn't deserve any one's business - maybe I've been watching too much Mary Portas but this really was the worst service I've had in ages and seriously how hard is it for these stroppy teens to serve a coke and direct me to my screen. No point in complaining if there is no sign of a manager! And people learn to be discreet - if Peaches Geldof really does use your cinema try not to slag her off for all customers to hear I'm sure she'd have something to say!

.....the service that you've described is pretty much the same as any cinema in London (including the Odeon Leicester Square with their £21.60 ticket price). Get real! All cinema employees are poorly paid and are likely to view their positions as a job.....not a career.

That said...the seating and environment of this cinema's screens are some of the best in London. If you have kids....please continue to stay away. If you are an adult that enjoys watching film without leemmings looking for the latest Michael Bay offering.....this place is great.
