London Cinema Guide
Celebrate the best films made by females at the Birds Eye View Film Festival, a six day affair filled with screenings of top films as well as a host of workshops and events. Starting two days before International Women’s Day, the 2008 festival is guaranteed to showcase some of the year’s greatest pieces of cinema.

Film screenings
Head to the film festival to see London premieres of international features, including Sakuran, a film looking at the less savoury sides of family life, Antonia by Tata Amaral and Hotel Very Wlecome, the directorial debut from Sonja Heiss. There’ll also be films from countries like India, Argentinia, Demnark and Africa.

Special events
From parties to special screenings, the Birds Eye View Film Festival is awash in all sorts of events. Attend a party gala hosted by Maureen Lipman, enjoy an In Conversation evening with Victoria Wood, see films that are like works of art, see scores of music videos and much, much more.

Workshops and classes
The 2008 London festival will also have workshops and classes for emerging women filmmakers in areas including screenwriting, networking, distribution and steadicam. There’ll also be workshops on VJing, self promotion and pitching, plus the chance to meet and chat with influential filmmakers.
