A summer of culture
Starting on Midsummer's Day and continuing until the end of the London 2012 Paralympic Games, the Cultural Olympiad London Festival promises a huge array of events, from performances of some of Shakespeare's best loved plays to new works by Damon Albarn and Mike Leigh. From film screenings to live music concerts and art exhibitions, culture vultures in London and around the world will be spoilt for choice when it comes to enjoying the best that the cultural arts have to offer.

Festivals for all
Theatre fans can look forward to new productions of William Shakespeare plays during the Cultural Olympiad London Festival, as part of the World Shakespeare Festival. Organised by the Royal Shakespeare Company and with contributions from the Roundhouse, the Barbican, the National Theatre and the BBC, the festival takes place in London, Stratford-upon-Avon and across the UK and includes live performances and interactive events. Other festivals contained within the larger London 2012 Festival include River of Music, which sees six stages of live music dotted along the Thames.
