An excellent little cinema showing a good selection of popular and avant garde films. It has a good bar in the gallery with comfortable seats, overlooking the excellent library space. An intimate cinema that far outshines its popcorn-strewn, nacho-encrusted rivals. I'd give it 5 stars if it was possible to book tickets online. Having said that, the box office will always call back if you can't get through.

Completely agree with your comments. Have only been there a couple of times but each occasions was really good. All the feel of a big cinema so far as quality of sound and picture is concerned but better seating giving better viewing coupled with friendly and helpful staff in the "booking Hall". No complaints whatsoever long may it carry on providing the quality and variety of films it presently does

Located next to the town hall, our cinema of choice in the Croydon area. A small venue of no more than 80 seats, so some rows are very close to the (smallish) screen.

But this also gives the cinema its intimate setting. There is a bar serving drinks, ice creams and crisps where, if you look upwards, there is a lovely view of the town hall clock.

They mostly distribute popular films, but there is also at least one foreign language film weekly (mid-week) and a morning film showing for families with babies.
