World Premiere
Despite most film premieres being only for VIPs, the world premiere of the classic film will be open to the public. Film fans will have the chance to see Disneys A Christmas Carol premiere in the capital and across the world as well when the film is screened in three cinemas in Leicester Square simultaneously on Tuesday 3rd November 2009. Tickets are on sale in support of Great Ormond Street Hospital and loads of stars are expected to walk the red carpet, including Jim Carrey, Colin Firth, Bob Hoskins, Robin Wright Penn and director Robert Zemeckis. With the general release planned for three days after the premiere, you’ll also get to see the film before anyone else.

Christmas Lights in London
Disneys A Christmas Carol premiere coincides with the lighting of Christmas lights in Oxford Street and Regent Street, which will have a Christmas Carol theme for 2009. This is the first time in history that the lights in the two streets will be switched on simultaneously, with the same theme.

Disneys A Christmas Carol
Disneys A Christmas Carol premiere offers Londoners the first chance to see the film, which features the traditional story being given a modern update thanks to 3D. Jim Carrey plays Ebenezer Scrooge along with the Ghost of Christmases Past, Present and Yet To Come, whilst other voices are provided by Colin Firth, Gary Oldman, Robin Wright Penn and Bob Hoskins. A Christmas Carol has been filmed using the latest technology of motion capture 3D, making all the elements as realistic as possible.

A Christmas Carol in London
Disneys A Christmas Carol premiere is just the start of similar Christmas themed events in the capital, with other venues in London bringing the magic of Charles Dickens’ classic to life for the 21st century. Other events include public concerts and a world record gathering of carol singers.

Tickets to Disneys A Christmas Carol premiere cost from £25.00 - £50.00 per ticket and are available for Empire Leicester Square, Odeon Leicester Square and Odeon West End cinemas. The premiere takes place at 7.30pm on Tuesday 3rd November 2009. For more information and to book tickets click the Buy Tickets button.
