Eclectic cinema
The Electric Proms Films line up has previously featured everyone from the Beastie Boys to Pete Doherty, presenting a truly eclectic range of musical genres in exclusive films. This years lineup looks set to be just as enticing and exciting as filmmakers have taken their inspiration from two new tracks from Florence and the Machine and Metronomy, both of whom are performing live at the 2009 proms events at the Roundhouse. Music enthusiasts will not want to miss the chance to explore a world of music in a selection of highly acclaimed films.
This Year's Highlights in Electric Proms Films
The films for 2009 include features from up and coming directors Ninian Doff and Keith McCarthy, selected from over 225 entries. The filmmakers have worked with producers at Colonel Blimp to make the films on a budget of £5000 each, and the shorts will celebrate their big screen premiere on Thursday 22nd October in a cinematic feast of music related film in London.
