Nissan Adventure Film Festival

Fancy yourself an adventurer? Love to see some of the world’s best action and adventure films on the big screen? The Nissan Adventure Film Festival is coming to Vue Cinemas in London for 2007, and bringing with it a dozen films that showcase some of the world’s most daring feats.

Get courageous
If you’ve always loved watching adventure films, now’s your chance to watch loads of them in one go, courtesy of the Nissan Adventure Film Festival. This year’s lineup includes everything from award winning movies to never before seen documentaries. Whether your passion is death-defying leaps or dangerous creatures, there’ll be plenty of films to enthrall you.

Crazy stunts
The five day film festival splits the films into five categories: endurance, high altitude, sports, ocean and global adventure films. If daring stunts are your thing, don’t miss the endurance-themed films on Monday 10th September, including Asiemut, a documentary about a couple on an 8,000 km bike odyssey across Asia. On Tuesday 11th September, watch climbers go all out as they try to ascend the highest mountains – and buildings – in the world. Don’t miss The Wall Crawler, the award winning documentary about the French Spider-Man who clambers up some of the world’s tallest buildings with only his bare hands to guide him. And sport fans should be sure to check out the sports adventure films on Wednesday 12th September, especially Quest: Part I, which features some of the world’s best surfers in search of the biggest waves.

Going global
Go underwater on Thursday 13th September with ocean-themed films at the Nissan Adventure Film Festival, including Swimming with Giants, which gets up close and personal with some of the world’s biggest swimming beasts. The 2007 festival finishes with global adventure films on Friday 14th September. Be sure to check out Sharkwater, a documentary-turned-thriller about a conservation group who meets an unfriendly bunch of armed poachers.

At a cinema near you
The adventure film fest will be showing at Vue Cinemas across London and the rest of the UK, so there are plenty of places to catch the flicks. What’s more, the films will all be shown using digital projects for the absolute best possible audio and visual experience. Expect loads of high quality close-ups as you see some unforgettable action and adventure scenes splashed across the big screen.

The Nissan Adventure Film Festival runs from 10th – 14th September 2007 at Vue Cinemas in London and the UK. Ticket prices vary by cinema. For more information and specific screening times and locations click below for the official website.
