A unique London Film Festival event is taking place at Trafalgar Square in October, featuring over 20 films charting the capital's history. Film fans can assemble for the Trafalgar Square London Film Festival screening and celebrate a another special year in one of the biggest film events in the world, sponsored by The Times.

London Moves Me
For 2009, the Trafalgar Square London Film Festival screening event London Moves Me features a night of free outdoor showings that celebrates the capital and its population while reflecting on the filmmaking potential of London in general. You can be sure that something vibrant and unusual will be on the big screens this October, as cinema lovers have the chance to see short films that span from 1896 all the way up to the present day. All of the films explore the theme of travel in London, and are accompanied by live piano music from Neil Brand.

Spotlight London
London has been home to all manner of film genres for many years. Film fans are invited to celebrate this rich cinematic history with a special cinema event, presenting something new and refreshing to the capital. From genteel Victorian ladies pedalling through Hyde Park in their billowing skirts to horse drawn barges on Regent's Canal and commuters on the tube in the 1930s, there's something to interest everyone at the London Moves Me event.

Since its first year the festival has firmly established itself as a first rate film and cinema event, continuing to bring some of the world’s best cinema to London.
