I usually visit here on 'Cheap Tuesdays' and usually take the escalator upstairs to where they sell popcorn, as the downstairs Box Office Ticket place they usually has just one or two people there, whereas upstairs, there's a lot more staff at the tills, therefore the queue moves a lot faster. I'd advise anyone else to do the same, especially when you're running a bit late.
It's £4.35(at of the time of writing) all day Tuesday(as long as you already own/sign up there at the till, paying for your ticket) with your 'Cheap Day Tuesday' card. At other days during the week, it's too expensive, especially adult price when compared elsewhere. You might as well wait for the DVD/BD if you can't watch the film of your choice on a Tuesday.
The staff who check your tickets before telling you what screen no. to go to are friendly enough and the audience is fine (when compared with Ilford Cineworld, where it is far, far rowdier).
The seats are quite comfy, but not as good as the very soft ones at Stratford Picture House. There's plenty of leg room and cup holders, when compared to the aforementioned Picture House, though.
The popcorn, drinks etc are very expensive though, so I tend not to buy anything from the cinemas. The toilets are cleaner during the day than in the evening.
Overall, as the nearest cinema in town, it's good. Having been there even before it was known as Vue(Ster Century before around mid '05), it's better than Ilford Cineworld, especially for a multiplex cinema.
Went on this weeks 'Cheap Day Tuesday' VERY disappointing as no where near enough staff on the counters which meant I missed the start of the film as still queueing to buy a ticket.
I arrived at 17.40 film due to start at 18.00 still in the queue at 18.05, at which time I asked a ticket attendent if we would miss the start of the film, and he advised yes, so we gave up :
(I feel these offers shouldnt be on if the is not enough staff to get people in their seats in time
Good pictures, loads of screens, Loads and loads of leg room i love it cos im 6ft 3" and have all the room in the world, easly parking (but pay and display),
Saw the Bourne Ultimatum here with the knowledge that most of Romford's 'yoot' would be banged up in the various comprehensives dotted about town. As a result, we had a pleasant viewing experience. Can't say what this place is like when the school gates open however.
