Want the chance to watch Wimbledon live? If you can’t get tickets, try the next best thing and see Wimbledon at Everyman cinemas in Hampstead and Belsize Park, for free.
Wimbledon screening
Known throughout London for their quirky events and extra-comfortable seats, the Everyman cinemas in Hampstead and Belsize Park will be screening the 2009 Wimbledon tennis championships for free. If you haven’t gotten your hands on coveted tickets – or don’t fancy battling the crowds – head to the screenings of Wimbledon at Everyman cinemas and watch the matches from the comfort of cushy cinema seating.

And if the free screenings of Wimbledon weren’t enough, fans watching Wimbledon at the Everyman cinema in Belsize Park will also be able to take part in their own tennis championships – by competing on Wii tennis. The cinema will have a tennis lawn set up, and they’ll also be serving strawberries and clotted cream cheesecake and Pimms amongst other refreshments.
Men’s final
Want to cut right down to the heart of the championships? Everyman Belsize Park is selling tickets to the men’s final, which takes place on Sunday 5th July. Come dressed in your tennis whites and you’ll also get a free glass of Pimms.
Screenings of Wimbledon at Everyman cinemas are showing at Everyman Hampstead and Everyman Belsize Park from Monday 22nd June – Sunday 5th July. Screenings are free excepting the men’s final on Sunday 5th July which will be a ticketed screening. Tickets are £16 for a premiere seat, £12 for a standard seat and £7.50 for children 14 and under.
