Abysmal is the word. after making a special effort to turn up before 11, which the website assured us would allow girls in free, our party still had to pay half the normal entry fee. I don't know what's worse, paying £10 to get into a 'club' which was still lifeless by 1am, or the fact that a bottle of rose wine from the one man, empty bar was priced at £50. oh but they did reduce it to £35 later. how kind. first club in which i have ever not bought a single drink and left early.

i was there last week end, had a ok night as it wasn't very busy, but i was with my gals and i managed to have fun. the music wasn't my piece of cake as i prefer house. someone spilt a drink in my face and eyes and when i went to report it because i was in pain, the manager just kept ignoring me! i heard her swearing too!! so rude and incompeted!
she should think more about getting some manners and get a training! that's no how you deal with customers! def not going there again as they dont care about their customers!

Despite my friends having a table through someone directly connected with the club, I was refused entry because I wasn't wearing heels. The dress code on here says nothing about heels (so that should be amended?). I have NEVER been refused entry to any club in my life! From Whisky Mist to Aura to Chinawhite to Cuckoo to Soho House to Amika to the Groucho Club etc etc. I was not sloppily dressed, if I had been, I'd understand, but I was wearing standard club attire, just not in heels, (think pixie lott/rihanna) I'm 5'9" so heels aren't my favourite thing! I found the door girls attitude offensive and insulting. So girls....... hit up other clubs who won't outcast you for not cramming your feet into sky scrapers. I wanted to let my hair down, dance, and enjoy myself without crippling heels.... and this is clearly not the place to do it! I'd heard good things, so I'm really disappointed. I will not be returning and I will be directing my very gorgeous girlies elsewhere in the future.

enjoyable, wasnt expecting much to be honest but the people i went with looked after me well and i had a top night in the end! would go back, and i read some of the below reviews, its just one of those things with west end clubs, you either like it or hate it

I haven't been to runway, but if JC1980 attitude reflects 55 Clubs customer service I won't be touching the place with a barge pole. Que arrogant response about me not being "high end" enough.

Absolute WASTE of time!!!!! Went to 55 club last night for a pre-advertised event. We got in the queue a few places behind some other friends. Queued for two hours for an event that had been heavily advertised as being free for ladies before 11pm. However, NO ONE got in for free, even the people who had been queuing since 9.45pm. So their advertising was clearly a lie!Then, it was SUPPOSEDLY 20 pounds entry after 11pm. They let people in one by one every 10 minutes so that the queue took longer and they could charge higher prices. We FINALLY got to the front, and the very VERY rude and arrogant door woman told us the price was now £30. Her reason was "discretion at the door darlin'". At the same time, those who had booked 15 pound tickets online (and were in the fast track queue) were REFUSED entry, while the people willing to pay 30 pounds were let in. Not very smooth guys - what a scam. DO NOT GO THERE. Listen to NO ADVERTISING regarding prices, because its clearly an auction at the door. Even if you liase with a promoter, they have NO CONTROL because the owners of this club are clearly extortionists. Everyone was very angry at the way they were being treated, and it ruined our night.

Came on friday last week for that geordie shore party and was so much fun!
we only had to wait about 5 minutes to get in and then were taken by the door girl down to our table, had loads of drink and music was awesome, even ended up staying for blc too, love this place!. and to some of the girls below, if you want to guarantee a good night get a table like we did

I was there last Saturday w my girls, we also had to pay £20 to get in although it was before 11pm!
The music was good, mixed, not just house! but the dj would not play the tune we asked for and repeated the same track four times!! :(
There were a couple of fit bartenders and lovely too!! (worth to go back there for!! ;) )
The floor was filthy though, wet and slippery, it was very hard to walk in high heels! My mate fell (so many other girls!), dirty her dress and hurt her ankle! A nice colombian waitress helped her up. thank you!

I was there yesterday Friday 02nd March.
The place was advertised as free entry for ladies before 11 pm. However, we were, group of girls, told that we have to pay £20 even though it was still 15 min before 11pm!
Our group was given a table then later it was sold to another group without any explainations and that created some tension among the party goers.
The DJ, the hot barman and the security were the best things.
I would still like to put a face to that amateour managener/owner to say "get someone more experience to manage that place".

I was there last Saturday! The music was good (a little bit ghetto at the end of the night). I unfortunately lost my bag with my mobile, wallet and all my documents inside. shocking there was NO manager to help me, only towards the end of the night a nice security dealt with me, although my bag wasn't found :-(
However, managed to enjoy my night tks to my gfriends and the nice cocktails the sexy bartenders made for me! :)

well as for the comments regarding the staff, i have been to high end clubs all over the UK and this was easily the best experience i have had, all of the staff were amazing. I arrived at 10:30pm to meet a large queue i spoke to a guy at the door to arrange a last minute table he took me straight we sorted it and i was given a waitress who took care of our every need, they regularly checked us, poured our drinks, they were in general very very good! i can honestly say you pay for what you get in this club, amazing staff and Colin Francis provided the best batch of music i have heard in a club for a long time, would recommend to anyone, friendly atmosphere, amazing!

If you want to be treated like crap and pay a lot of money for it, then this is the place to be. Honestly, for £20 entry fee, I was expecting really nice staff but they are all arrogant and rude. Music was alright and there was a very security girl who was very nice to me, when I was sick.

Crap. If you've been to Runway then this is it. My drunk friends convinced me it had changed. Still tacky interior, still idiot door men and still the same moronic crowd. Do your selves a favour and walk towards Mayfair. Music wasn't bad but wont fall for the name change thing again.

Finally a club with house music!! Atmosphere was wicked last weekend, ypu can buy bottles of wine which is rare in a westend club and also was suprised how friendly the staff were, also rare! No queing to smoke which I always a plus!

went there last night, overall was very impressed, bit on the expensive side but was worth it. Probably the best DJs Iv heard in London, and he gave me a free cd! was nice not to hear just house all night. Could of done with a better smoking area tho as it was minus 4 and they dont have outdoor heating!!

I went there yesterday was sick! the musics decent its all mixed not just like 100% house and the service is pretty good aswell. the staff was more like my friends. if anything i'd go back without a doubt

I was there about a year ago for my gfs bday, we had a great time. (when it was Runway) I went back last week end and our experience wasn't as great. We spoke to the person that was pointed out as manager, but she wasn't very helpful!
There was another manager last year, very friendly and more capable, but I was told she's not longer working there. Shame!
If you know her please tell her to get in touch as my friend has a job for her!

first time here last weekend and i will be heading there every weekend from now on... was with 6 of my girlfriends we all got FREE entry and the drinks were quite cheap compared to other clubs... plenty of room to dance and lots of celebrities... i met Shane ward!!!!!!!!!!!!! music was wicked too.

Now that its 55club its amazing!!!! the music is great, the guests are good, they always have great star guests down... atmosphere is 2nd to non!!! just a great club and night out!!! :) get yourself down there!!!

Wow, what a change, I never thought I would go back, but I did, and now it's like celeb hang out of choice, maybe cause its.not obvious west end naff. I fell over out side and the manager and security picked me up, and looked after me properly, they really cared, makes a change from being flung out on the street by most bouncers. Really nice people makes a difference. Hank you x

Snobby, rude, knackered venue, over priced, cramped. Would never go back.

The girls and me went here a couple of nights ago, we waited outside in the rain for an hour and a bit with the stench of sick and sewages musking around in the queue. Which is awkward as we started getting ready at 3 in the afternoon to turn up to that is an let down.

As girls do me and my friend went into the toilet together, as I was crouched down in the cubical doing my lippy and I heard someone punching the door. It turned out to be the cleaner who continued to punch the door so hard the lock broke and the door rammed into my back (only just recovered from a slipped disc so that didn't help). She then told us that your not aloud to people in the cubical however she could of said rather then braking the door down.

The girls in there are rude and become obsessive about the booths, which they don't actually pay for. I went to sit down only to have some girl scream at me telling me to get out when I got up to leave I had another thump on the back.

Other then that the music was alright, repeated itself a bit. Its £8 for a shot which is nuts. And the VIP area is naff. Last but not least my Grandma has a better sound system.

I could think of a better word to describe this place then "chic".

Most of the people were friendly a few arrogant ones though! The waitress had a nice short hair style, but was rude to my friend (he was paying for the drinks!!), her service was a let down and then was almost forcing him to tip her! the floor was filthy and very slippery
But the music was great and I managed to enjoy my night!

This place is sick!!! its not pretentious just wicked clubbing, with beautiful people. Prices are better than most west end clubs, and staff actually friendly for once. Definitely my club of choice now! xx

I had the best night out here, had heard stuff from before when it was under different name, so stayed away.Seriously happy i tried it now, music was wicked, staff were friendly and then venue was bang on. Defo go back again.
