The ViewLondon Review

This combined cafe, bar and club can be likened to a beautiful woman wearing a fur coat but no knickers - it looks good but lacks substance.

The Venue
Discreetly situated in the City courtyard, Agenda will tempt your entry right from the offset; with floor-to-ceiling glass windows that reveal a stylishly neutral interior palette of pine, greys and beiges. It has plush seating areas, a cloakroom and two bars – one small bar just off the dancefloor and a lengthier one running along the right of the main area. The club element feels like a separate entity altogether with DJ and dancefloor. There are music videos shown on an overhead screen and a back door is opened during the night to relieve the smokers.

The Atmosphere
With its excellent lighting, good-looking staff and sexy sounds, Agenda is a good wind-down location. The doorman is polite, nobody appears unfriendly and this isn’t the sort of place where fights ensue – instead, it has an office-party feel. A suited and booted business crowd (complete with loosened ties) is mixed wildly with the telltale tipsy. Everyone looks to be having fun and it’s your typical City bar, although it can be a little meat markety.

The Music
A mix of funky house, commercial pop and all else that is mainstream – the tunes are the best part of Agenda’s, well, agenda! Unless you live under a rock, you’re bound to hear a familiar favourite of yours that will get you up on your feet for a wiggle and giggle.

The Drink
Need a watering? There are a good variety of beverages on offer from classic or cosmopolitan cocktails to bottled or draught beer and everything in between. It is at this point that you’ll be thankful for the Happy Hours Agenda prices, which reduce the rate of various foods and drinks across the menu by up to 50%. Otherwise things could get rather expensive.

The Last Word
If you work in the area then enlist Agenda as your local haunt.
