Decent cocktail bar with interesting choices for drinks (with hilariously psychotic names). Dr Strangelove is a nice spirit cocktail and Rock Candy is an interesting fruity one. Ambience was decent, isn't that crowded, staff were curt and to-the-point. Overall, okay.

I recently heard Anam was now opening earlier and with a few friends I went to try out their new lunch menu. I'd heard alot about Pavana's authentic Thai food from a friend of mine who'd been a fan of her's long before she joined Anam Bar and rightly so.

I have to say, not one of the group I took was disappointed. The service was faultless and friendly. The food was out of this world and every meal was under £4. A ridiculous price for such a beautiful meal in such funky, chic surroundings. This is the first place I've visited in London that has driven me to actually write out an online review. I can't stop recommending Anam.

Went out for my friend's birthday last weekend, booked a seating area in Anam bar. Thought we'd try out their new Thai menu and it was fantastic. My friends live locally and are regulars but for me it was my first time. The cocktails are delicious and the bar staff were very friendly. Really enjoyed the music and danced the night away. Superb night, I'll definitely be visiting again soon.

Anam is a great place and along with Clockwork, the Castle and Salmon and Compass it makes you wonder why anybody would bother coming out of Angel and not head toward the market rather than tawdry Upper St. The barman when I visited Anam was very cool and took the time to show a friend how to make the cocktail she had ordered.

Anam is brilliant! Well, it was the other night - we had an absolute blast and everyone at the venue helped that; from the staff to the other clubbers. If this is the weekly crowd at Anam, I'm definitely gonna be back soon.

I'd like to respond to Pauly's remarks regarding Anam. I do think you are unfair in saying this when Anam had one of London's finest DJs playing that night. Timo Garcia is no doubt the best up and coming artist so maybe you don't like house music but mate you must be hearing things with those comments.

It's my understanding Anam has changed hands to two more suitable people who love people and entertainment. About time in my book, the last guys where so stuck up. We here in angel are glad to have this bar back in good hands.

I was in Islington for the first time in months and I went back to see what Anam was up to. I heard a lot of about changes taking place. Funny I picked Saturday night because a new night called Italian Job had just kicked off at Anam.

I was going to Fabric but it was so fantastic we (15 of us) stayed all night and danced like crazy kats. I am a musican and I can honestly say that the way the DJ put his style and energy across was simply out of this world, I made my view clear to the new owners who are very nice guys so hopefully they will build on this, I will be down this Saturday before I go out again.

Haven't been to Anam for few months and because I remembered having a great night out there, i thought i'd visit with few friends couple of saturdays ago. The management had changed, cocktail menu had been changed and DJs were changed as well.
Cocktail menu was reduced half what it was and the guys (we were told they were the new owners) weren't very hospitable, couldn't make the drinks and i felt like i was paying some amature £8 to make a tasteless cocktail. Plus one of the owners were walking around like a zombie, making other people nervous with his pointless stares. Why wasn't he doing his job properly?

Music was way inappropriate, too hard too early and there was no atmosphere in the place. The music just didn't suit Anam at all. Felt like they were playing tunes to satisfy their own hunger for massive club setting. DJs were not very friendly, couldn't mix two tunes to save their lives and my good memory of this place was ruined.

Take it from me fellow readers, Anam isn't what it use to be, they've tried to redesign a fine working wheel in motion and in the process, they've killed this place. Not even worth one star, don't waste your time and money. Aviod Anam At All Cost!
