I am shocked to see so many people like this place. I feel for the staff, who are friendly and helpful but how they deal with the manager I have no idea. I booked an area for my friends birthday, being very specific about where I wanted to be and when I turned up me and my 40 friends had one table. The bar staff and assistant manager apologised but when I spoke with the manager he was rude and said "what do you want me to do?" to which I replied, " I want you to give me what I asked from you." He walked away. Fair to say I took my friends elsewhere and we had an amazing night and my friend had an amazing birthday...no thanks to Arch 635

With short notice Danny the owner arranged my birthday for 27 people, even thought the place was packed !!

the music has fantastic variety and the main good thing for me on a night out is the atmosphere, and its buzzing, cool and trendy.

Drinks well priced and above all lots of attractive woman.

If you haven't been go and have a look!

Great place!

Excellent customer service! I was unfortunate enough to have misplaced my jacket in the bar when I was out having a great time for my friends birthday. I called the next day and the very kind manager Daniel said he would look out for it - sure enough a day later the jacket turned up - massive thank you to Daniel for such great customer service! As I am here writing a thank you note - I should also mention that we had a great time and I shall definitely be visiting there again.

Went to 635 last weekend. This strange, but interesting place is tucked away off the main run and is certainly worth searching for. I loved the beautiful brick walls, the long and extremely accessible bar, even at the busiest time of night and the eclectic mix of design furniture against the old wood and bricks-not the run of the mill place at all! The music was great and the atmosphere was as warm and friendly as you could hope for. Service was pretty quick and the drinks are very very reasonably priced. I was on gin and tonics all night and didn't feel like I had been left light afterwards like some places I could mention in that area. Was quite a big group of us that went (about 15) and we had plenty of space to chat and be together without feeling like we were being separated by strangers or pushed into each other all night long. The ladies at the front of the bar are amazing by the way! The mosaic is awesome! Great transport home as well, right next to the tube to get there and buses right around the corner! I will definitely be coming back again. Thanks for a good night!

We all went there for my Birthday and had a really good time , easy meeting place just behind the tube, We stayed to hear the Dj's take over in the evening and the bar becomes even better with an older funky crowd bringing an even friendlier vibe .Loved the dj on a fri night as he plays right through the ages.I will be going again definately on a Fri night.loved the place.

We were bar-hopping in Clapham on Friday night and just by chance, heading to the Falcon pub, we ended up in this really cool underground bar. It is different from all the other bars in the area and it still holds that groovy underground feeling of what a real bar should be like, while all the other bars in the area have become very standard and too stylish. The music was very good, and they also held a concert by three upcoming bands.
The only negative note has to be the gents' loo but the staff told me that they are about to renovate. Good dancing, good people and fair prices that is open until that late.
reccomend it for a fun and energetic night out.

Never felt like I should post a review before but would strongly not recommend this place. Fair enough that all bars get trouble and idiots but my experience was this place was full of them - not helped by a cramped venue and dancefloor.

Given the positive reviews are from 1-2 years ago then perhaps this place has gone downhill recently, or I was just unlucky and visited on a night when all the chumps in Clapham and roundabouts decided to go there.

In fairness this is the only time I've been there (on a Saturday night) and I'm open-minded enough to admit that it could have been bad luck

However, given the number of alternatives I won't be going back and would recommend people put this near the bottom of their list of bars to visit

This looks and feels like a nice bar. But it's prone to theft and the staff don't care. I've only been twice but both times something was stolen (a bag and a coat). When the bag was stolen it had been emptied out just over the other side of the room - a sign of thieves that have no fear of door staff. There's no CCTV and the bouncers aren't interested

We had exactly the same experience the Saturday just gone. The owner is useless and moves your reserved area as he likes without informing you no matter how early you book. And then when I approached him he was ignorant and made out I never requested a specific area in the first place. Also had things stolen out of a hand bag, bouncers were useless even though my friend was assaulted, and were even debating letting the girl who caused all the aggravation back in. Although the bar has potential it needs some serious work in terms of the way things are dealt with etc.

As a regular to the Arch, I cant praise it highly enough. Always had a great time, esp fri and sat nights with excellent djs. Now with live bands, open mike and comedy nights, these guys are to be commended for trying to add a little more to the nightlife on offer in Clapham. Nice one. Cheers

What a fantastic place. I booked an area to celebrate my birthday there last Friday with around 30 friends. We had a fantastic time, the service was great and staff friendly. The DJ was even happy to play any requests we had.

I would highly recommend this bar over some of the more well known venues on the high street. There was no minimum spend to book, and the fact that it shuts at 3 meant we didn't have to worry about moving somewhere else.

Nice bar, a welcome change from the other soulless bars on the high street.
2 for 1 Mojito's made it hard for us to leave when we came to the open mic night.
The place was a bit hard to find though, which could be a good thing I suppose.

Although located within 2 minutes walk of Clapham North tube, Arch 635 is just out of sight from the high street, hence their claim to being “South London’s best-kept secret”. Arch 635 is striking on arrival - a converted railway arch – and has a friendly atmosphere which is local without being exclusive. Arriving at the bar things get even better. Arch 635 has micro-brewed Meantime Beers on draught, and a great range of bottles (in addition to spirits, wines etc). For entertainment, this bar has a range of music events. Notably, the biweekly open mic night brings in a high standard of musicians with a friendly atmosphere. Overall, I think this pub has great claim to being the best in the area – it certainly has my vote.

This is a great place to drink. Everytime i have been there i have had such a great time. Everyone seems to be really chilled out and friendly. The is not pretension like in some of the other Clapham bars, here you just get really cool music and a great vibe. One of Clapham's best kept secrets......oh and friendly owners too!

I stumbled Arch 635 with a friend and ended up having a brill time. Arch 635 is an intimitate venue with a great DJ and most importantly, enough room to do your thing on the dancefloor without getting trampled on!

Apparently you can't take photos in Arch 635! I went for my birthday this weekend with a big group of friends - some of which I haven't seen in ages and the bouncer stopped us from taking photographs saying that it wasn't allowed but wouldn't say why! He eventually agreed to let me take just one photograph (yup, just the one!). His attitude really let the bar down! Arch 635 is a cool bar with great music. Pity about the policies!

Arch 635 is possibly the best late bar in Clapham. Nice venue, good crowd, funky music and pleasant bar staff. I've never had a bad night in Arch 635.

Arch 635 is a great little bar hidden from the glaringly obvious (and often hideous) Infernos, meaning the crowd is chilled and not cheesy! There is no door charge which makes this place even more appealing and although the bar at Arch 635 is quite small, it does get quite crowded at weekends. Music is a mix of funky house and soul classics. It's a good little find and we have had many a good night there.

I have been to Arch 635 a couple of times. There's a good atmosphere and the bar staff are friendly. Arch 635 is busier at weekends and there are live DJs, definitely worth a try!
