Physically Area is a reasonably large club overall (having 3 dance floors and 2 vip rooms), but each room isn’t so big that you loose a relatively intimate vibe despite the ‘warehousey’ styling of the place. It could probably do with a new lick of paint, as it’s been open a few years now and looks a little tired in places. The lighting system is top notch in the main room, but sparse to non-existent in the other 2 dance floor rooms. The smoking Area is cool, and lends itself well to meeting other clubbers – and women! I agree with Sarah267, the toilets are a state. If you don’t know the venue it is also easy to go into the wrong sex toilets behind the main dance floor as they can both be entered from two directions and aren’t well marked in regards to what sex toilets they are, however they usually have attendants. As for them not locking, every time I’ve been there the toilets have been lockable – maybe that’s just a problem in the ladies? They’ve got wicked Nova sound systems in all 3 dance floors, which are generally well engineered, although for the last Renegade Hardware the tops in the main room almost blew my ears out. Ouch! (the engineer should have stepped out from behind the mixing desk and had a listen to the sound). For those that don't know, Nova are making a huge name for themselves in club land right now for the quality of their systems - better than both Avalon and Funktion 1 sound systems to my ears. As they have different promotions for differing crowds each weekend so going there on a whim probably won’t work - so pick your nights according to taste. Overall I like the place, it’s got an underground vibe, but it’s not overly skanky. The security are efficient and the promotions of a pretty consistent standard. Every time I’ve been there the crowds have been up for it and friendly (not to mention there being a lot of fine women about!)p. S. @ Sarah267 re. Drugs – you did realise you were in a nightclub didn’t you – jeese!

went there it was mad busy long queues on toilets ..unorgnised place men are going to the girls toilets and getting the jackets from the cloak room was wayy out of order as they have no one managing the queues and it was mad ..people pushing and shouting..toilets are way too dirty as men go to the girls toilets they are full of shit and stink to death ..i felt sorry for the women working there as it stank of shit and fart ..paid 14£ for that ohh no..they need to cut it down..i honestly saw every sniffing drugs and i was not happy about it..i sat on table and people kept coming sniffing cocine /white powder all night..it was hot and sweaty but i enjoyed the music ...i reported the spot where i saw many people coming for drugs ..staff said as long as they don't sell it it's allowed ...whattt ?i found out later there are people selling it there..as one told me he just bought some .. long wait in toilets as people having drugs in there..its way too much happening in 1 place..Oh never never again ..i enjoyed the garden though ..but hey i saw every one with white nose from the drugs even the dj..shame for their reputation .

I gave area 1 star because the transvestite at the door was absolutely hideous to me, I was there with my 4 male gay friends and she/he was going to let them in and not me. I have been to loads of gay places before Fire, Barcode etc...never ever have I experienced such disgusting behaviour. He/she let me in eventally. Don't know what the problem was but it kinda ruined my night, but as one of my friends really wanted to go here I agreed to enter.

Best club in the UK. I've been to pretty much all of the the popular places in London..Fabric,MOS,Movida,Mahiki,Cafe de Paris, Matter, Heaven,The Aquarium, Shoreditch clubs..etc.

So i'm not judging from not enough info. 'BEYOND' party on Sun starts 6am(i know..timing's tricky but u can go Juicy@Fire on Sat night then take 5 mins walk to Beyond later) BEST Laser system,BEST Djs,BEST booze's prices,BEST sound system, friendly bouncers,quick+kind+hot bar staffs, nice venue+many rooms w sofa, smoking terrace's nice+chillax.

Crowd...I wont judge the club on it 'cause bouncers aren't mind readers so they just search for dodgy items. Luckily, from fairly high entrance fee (£15 or less w student card, flyer or membercard) so it acts as a filter for trash and trouble maker PLUS lovely characteristics of gay guys,open minded attitude of straight guys who obviously dont mind gay environment & the intention of the girls that like gay club+already has a bf(like me)

so i only want to hav a good time w friends&definitely love house music not cheesy pop+fed up with straight guys that try 2approach&wanna get freaky.(soNOT SUITABLE FOR GOLD DIGGERS,SNOBISH & PRETENTIOUS type)

Thats why ppl r truly lovely. Whenever i went out2smoke,always make friends+s.times got connection4my career in fashion field. **BEST DJ+Selection of songs+BEST mix**most tunes gave me goosebumps!

I think these place is verry nice, me & my girlfriends were enjoying so much we stayed teel 6 in the morning. we will go next week as well

Went to AREA on Saturday night for mulletover BRILLIANT a 5 star party at a 5 star venue, the after party in the Lightbox was the icing on the cake a REAL WOW well done Vauxhall a new top clubbing area in London

Gotta get back to that place again, i would have given it 5 stars but i like dom perignon & they dont sell it!!

This place is BIG but doesnt have a wharehouse feel its more luxurious, with really beautifull chill out areas & comfortable seating. Impressed i was, thats for sure!!

I especially loved the outdoor terrace with heaters & music & cool lights!!

No wonder all the sexy ladies wanna come to this place its very sexy & chic. Top night out out & with all the eye candy i couldnt wish for a better club to got to.
The staff were quick no waiting for drinks & the champagne was reasonably priced.

I had an absolute ball at The Big Summer Reunion last Saturday, we were gutted when we heard SE1 was not hosting the event but when we got to AREA we loved it. I never heard of AREA before but im definatley going back, the place had over 20 lasers in the main room & the sound system was the best iv heard in along time. Its good to see a club doing so well, especially now so many are getting closed down.

Area is the place to go at the moment with so many clubs closing down its refreshing to see the owners ploughing some of the money back into the club. This venue owner spent A LOT on his lighting rig in the main room, iv heard its the same owner as 'THE LIGHTBOX' that doesnt surprise me... they are both qaulity venues

What a Club. The best night out in a long time. Its Fresh & New, its easy to get a drink & its cheap. I rate this place the same as Ministry of Sound

this club is the bussiness. i travel from peterborough for the staurday session at area atleast once a month. this is a most for any gay clubber who really likes banging tunes, friendly fit twinks and just to let your hair down.well done area xxx

AREA looks to be a good club, but I have yet to make it there. Hopefully it will attract a better crowd than CRASH. AREA is in the right area to become a regular haunt of mine if it's an alright club.
