Attica - what a shambles. They had extremely rude door staff who only realised after checking four times that we were on the guestlist. They then let us in, continuing to be rude the whole time.
The bar staff were nice but Attica itself is over rated and wannabe central. We moved on to a better club after 45 minutes. If you wanna waste time, money and like dealing with thick door staff - you'll love it here.
This was a truly disappointing start to the night and we didn't even go in Attica club. The door staff were very rude and because we weren't on the guest list we were treated like lepers. We were told to wait until they could come to a decision and after about 10 minutes and seeing all the fakeness we left. It could have been a good night if we had got in but I’ll never know and I’m not going to try at Attica again.
I'm not really sure how Attica is exclusive. We went to Attica randomly at half past 11 last week and we all got in and 10 of us were allowed comps! It was a good night but the drinks were overpriced, not that we had to really pay for them ourselves.
Don't bother going to this place! I went to Attica for the first time on the 1st April and it was terrible. Firstly the guy at the door was incredibly rude and sarcastic, with major attitude for no reason, and the other staff gave off the same sort of unfriendly vibe! Then I expected the inside of the club would be great due to that kind of attitude outside - but no - it was very dull with a cold kind of atmosphere, crap music and lots of stuck-up wannabes, not a friendly place to say the least. But the worst was the price of the drinks - £8.50 for a basic! I mean, who the hell do Attica think they are exactly? It certainly doesn't make for a chilled, enjoyable night. Thumbs down to Attica.
Went to Attica on Thursday and had an amazing night! The door staff were very polite and inside was very classy! The main postive was the general crowd - all well dressed but no 'chinawhite attitude'...people with money but not wearing cheap shirts with D&G slapped all over it!
The music was very good, nice mixing and good mix of music in general. To make it even better, Genuine (rnb artist) was there! Wicked night at Attica, definitely go again!
Essex chic meets Wall Street. What can I say - after visiting a few truly cool clubs where credit card brands don't matter and people are there for a good time I must confess that Attica dissapointed. If you want cultured clubs with interesting people and innovative music don't come here! Instead try some of the more music-based clubs in the City or near East London - original and funky as opposed to posers with nothing much upstairs.. At least people seemed polite enough but I left Attica at midnight!
Sorry, really wanted to give Attica a go but I think I'll give the celeb clubs a miss...
Went to Attica after hearing alot of great reviews and on the off chance of spotting a celeb. No celebs to be found, but I did enjoy my night at Attica - will be back for sure.
Attica is a brilliant club! The music is great the staff are very friendly and the atmosphere on the whole is good. Although it is a bit small it's not as small as other people have described it to be. I dont know about paying for tap water, I've certainly never paid and I've been there many many times!
If you want a good night in town then go to Attica, even the first time we went we were treated like VIPs!
Having read some of the reviews on Attica and heard an excellent buzz I went down with some of the girls. It is rubbish. They did not play one decent song. We were surrounded by rude, classless airheads. Attica was dingy and the staff were rude. In general, the club was far too small and empty. Don't go to Attica - the worst night out I have had in ages.
I have no idea if we went to the same club...It said Attica on the door but once we stepped inside it was crap music all night. We stayed for one drink, (which means about 10 minutes) and were then out the door.
Perhaps it was the night we went on(Thursday) or perhaps there was a demand for bad music. Whatever it was, we wasted £10 on 10 minutes in there and it ruined our night.
I don't think we will be going back to Attica in the future but the best of luck to you if you decide to go on a Thursday night.
I love Attica, it's a very cool environment. I go there with my girlfriend and it's probably the only club where everyone in there is cool and polite, no shoving, no sleazy guys bothering girls, loads of beautiful women, great music, the drinks are steep but for a great night out it's well worth it. The staff at Attica are very friendly also which is a rare quality these days. You wont be disappointed with Attica.
Attica - what can you say? Empty. It feels like you've walked into a scene from American Psycho, black and chrome dominates. If you're thinking of going, take a walk past the queue and check out the clientele - if you are under 20 and go to public school then get the hell in there (the other reviews aren't exactly the writings of anyone far beyond puberty). Avoid Attica like the plague if you're seeking something more.
I ended up in the queue for Attica a few months ago for a mate's birthday and that's as far as we got. Despite sorting out a guest list they declined all knowledge of us which in the end suited me fine because we went on to Fabric for half the price and had a great time. I remember Home in Leicester Square used to do the same thing as Attica and look what happened to them.
I love Attica! And I love the crowd! It's like the Hotel California! Once you go to Attica you are sucked in by its sumptuous appeal. The new owner/manager always makes us feel special, the service is top notch and the hip hop mixed with rock is a recipe for success. Whether you want a crazy party night or just to chill out, head down to Attica and make sure you meet the manager, he's really friendly and always has a harem of nice friends too! Attica is the best night out! Just make sure you are dressed right and that there are not too many guys in your group - this door is strict! Not only that they aren't shy to tell you how it works!
Attica is definitely the best place to rave. Trust me!
Went to Attica with a group of girls from my agency this weekend, luckily the girl on the door is also with my agent so we had no prob getting ahead of the huge queue and in for free! First round of cocktails from the cute manager, we were off to a good start!
The music was mostly hip hop, the dancefloor was a bit small and crowded though, saw some people we knew and tagged on to their table, much better! Now the drinks really started to flow, it's a great place, except it gets a bit crowded so you really need a table if you want to have some space, the staff were very friendly and really looked after us, so we'll definitely be back.
Went to Attica this weekend and it was a good night. The paparazzi were outside but we didnt see any celebs. The guys were pretty hot in their suits, however drinks were a bit pricey £7.50 for a shot of sambucca which would cost me £1.25 at my local Wetherspoons, you may wanna drink before you go!!
Yes yes yes! I checked out Attica after checking the reviews lately, and it's true, this is a great place to party, the door is strict so look famous or forget it (that's true) the girl on door is very polite even when telling you 'you just aren't right for the venue' ouch! Well, inside the music was great, lots of usual faces you see in London's elite clubs, the new team are really doing it right! I feel sorry for those that don't get in, but I really wouldn't come here if they did! I like exclusive celeb hangouts! and if that's your cup of tea? this is for you.
I arrived by cab, the paparazzi ran over with their cameras, then one of them said, 'It's nobody!'. Great! The girl on the door found it quite funny, and let us past, in front of a queue which went all the way down the street.
I hadn't been here before but the people I was with said it was one of those cool places most people don't know is happening. It was awesome!
I had a fight with my girlfriend because I was off chasing hot girls, she ended up snogging some actor! We spent most of the night leading a fantasy life, 'til the lights came on and it was time to join the real world outside.
I would seriously recommend it, but leave your partner at home! Thanks guys. An amazing place.
Attica is hot! The old owners are gone and the new guys are setting new standards that others are trying hard to follow. but the new funky team are doing things very differently, they do keep the club empty if the crowd outside isn't right, they're doing exactly what everyone else wants to but are too afraid, and it works, if you get in you'll see what I mean! Celebrities every night, but they'll never tell you, this really does seem to the only place that still knows what exclusive and discrete means. not bad at all!
Attica has really got its act together in the last couple of months. Its going back to how it was when it just opened, at least on Thursday nights, with lots of nice looking people and a great atmosphere. It's still not the easiest place to get in to, but the music and service are great. I was really impressed the last time I went to Attica.
I went to Attica for the first time last Saturday. Already surprised to have to pay £20 to get in when I had read that one only had to pay £15 when on a Guest List, I was even more surprised by the excessive and insane amount of people that could be counted in such a small place. For what is known as an expensive and exclusive “Guest List” Nightclub, I felt more like a cow in an abattoir deafened by the volume of music rather than a guest allowed to spend a nice, relaxing evening with some space to dance.
Attica must make up its mind and decide which market it wishes to target. As far as I am concerned, I hope never to repeat the experience I had in there and intend to make it known.
Personally i thought Attica on Kingly Street was way too overpriced, I mean entry to a tiny little club at £15 was outragous, and the drinks were a bit pricy. Tto EMPHASISE how small it was some of my mates weren't allowed in 'cause it was to full. When I tried to join them after I found out, the club didn't want to give me a refund. Also got up their own arses a bit because jordan was there, oh all praise her, not! OVER RATED
Although Attica is up there in the style stakes with the likes of Tantra and 10 Room, Attica just didn't quite cut it for me.
Although nice looking, it is way over priced, they charge for tap water and although I was at a private function here, the club seemed so tiny and the dancefloor didn't look inviting enough.
Only go here if you want to relax and spend almost 20 quid on two single vodka redbulls (yes one can shared between both glasses!)
The funky beat goes on at Attica, but what does smart dress mean? You can wear jeans. For the trendy and under 35's, busy place, busy bar - now you know the club is buzzing, Hey nice to see helpful/polite door supervisors.
