With Indian cinema now providing Hollywood with healthy competition, it's unlikely that this London club will remain one of a kind for long.

The Venue
Near some of the finest restaurants in the West End, Bar Bollywood is handily located on Dover Street. Indian restaurant Yatra nestles on the floor above and although it's unconnected with Bar Bollywood it pairs well with it.

The Club
Open only on Fridays and Saturdays after 9pm Bar Bollywood gives the impression of being exclusive even though it does not operate a membership scheme. Full of twenty-somethings, an eclectic mix of cultures and nationalities come together on the dancefloor to show off energetic, Bollywood inspired moves.

The Decor
The club evokes classic Bollywood with portraits of some of the most famous names in Bollywood cinematic history hanging on the entrance walls and the walls surrounding the dancefloor. Window shutters carved in traditional Indian jali fashion are juxtaposed against the digital screen showing captivating Bollywood dance routines.

The Atmosphere
The club's atmosphere is created by DJ Nadine who has his finger on the pulse when it comes to the latest club hits in Bombay and Delhi.

The Last Word
Bar Bollywood is a great, original idea which has been tastefully carried out. All that's missing are the mango and banana lassis, fresh lime juice and more duos from up and coming Indian actors on the digital screen.
