We recently ventured to this club for a friends birthday. The music was brilliant, the bar staff were speedy and friendly despite the club being packed, and the clientele were all friendly and fun.
The bar was expensive but no more than any other London club. There was also free body sushi served off some lovely ladies, which was a nice touch.
My only complaint was the security. Having got a table for the group I was extremely disappointed with the extremely rude security guy who continued to restrict my access to the table. He consistently stated the area was over capacity. This is fine but he was letting other people through whilst I was made to wait. When I did eventually get to the table to join my friends - he grabbed my jacket and pulled me out again. I am still none the wise as to why I was being discriminated against.
The latter unfortunately ruined my night and thus I give it two stars.
Went to Bond for my Twenty First birthday. I went in with eight girls and one boy. The bouncer said its okay for my guy mates to come in if they come later. But when my mates were trying to get in. They refused them all entry. Was ridiculous. No proper guestlist system and they seem to make up the rules as they go along. I also witnessed a bouncer pushing two girls on the floor :\ even though it was her birthday as well. A small club.. Drinks quite expensive. Not worth the hassle at all!!!Music was good though
Have never left a review before but thought it was worth a go this time. I found Bond really overrated. Drinks are expensive ( cheapest is £8), music isn't very good and takes a long time to pick up, and clientele just really weren't very nice. When I go out I like to have fun... this time I was just bored.
I don't usually leave reviews but I thought I would pop by and leave a comment. Went to Bond last night for my bestfriends birthday, seeing as though it was in Central London I was expecting to get a lot of hassle at the door with pretentious door staff but it was quite the opposite. We were greeted by friendly doormen/women, had no trouble getting in what so ever as we were all on the guest list. The music was excellent, we were dancing the whole night. The music was a mix of RnB, bashment, funkyhouse and commercial. The crowd was very mixed, there definatley doesn't seem to be a race issue when it comes to letting people in. The bar staff were extremely nice, dancing with us all night and even coming over to give us a hug. At one point my friend friend misplaced her camera in the toilets and the staff were extremely nice in trying to find it, luckily someone had given it to the bar.
The reason why I didn't give Bond the full 5 stars was because I felt the drinks were extremely expensive. At one point we were charged £10 for a malibu and juice. extortionate prices. However, there are several bars and pubs on Kingly Road so perhaps a few pre-drinks would not be a problem before you get to the club as it would probably be a lot cheaper. Another reason why Bond didn't get the full 5 stars in because I thought it was abit much to charge boys £20 to get in the whole night. They could lower this price perhaps before 11pm to £10. It would also be nice if they introduced a happy hour with reduced drink prices.
Other than the drinks and entry prices for guys, I think this club was very good and definatley worth going to. Also girls would like to know there aren't any deadly stairs to climb in your high heels, everything is on one floor.
I don't usually write reviews, but the beautiful city of London needs one less Bond. A few words to describe it - overrated, boring and forgettable but regrettable! Don't waste your money getting a table or yourself on a guestlist, there is not much to see and frankly there are much more diverse and exciting clubs in London. I give it a year, it will close down, unable to keep up with the rent, and the same property will open up with a new name, hopefully they will not transfer the contract of the rude and disgrace of a woman who runs the door. Happy to recommend high end clubs with better music, polite and friendly staff, great atmosphere where you will be guaranteed a good night!
Losing its touch already. Rude lady at the door who said the club was at capacity despite it only being 10.30pm. Then proceeded to try to charge us £20 each 5 minutes later. Really? This place obviously doesn't know what it is trying to be. Avoid.
Having read the reviews, I was skeptical but ended up being pleasantly surprised. I wasn't there but I'm not sure the girls getting rejected for flat shoes as mentioned was a race issue because I saw a good mix of Asians (Indian and Far East), Arabs, Black, White and Brown people.
We had booked a table and were taken straight to our table. No need to pay £20 at the door. Very attentive staff and although this comes down to having booked a table, I went up to the bar a couple of times and was served quickly there.
There was a good crowd with a good boy:girl ratio, the music was good (popular urban/dance tracks), there was room on the dance floor for everyone and all in all it was a good night.
I'm only giving this Club one star, because this website doesn't actually allow me to give any less. It's an interesting company policy, to train all your staff to be rude, unwelcoming and consistently unhelpful.
Our group of 10 had a table booked with an agreed minimum spend of £750 (for a friend's birthday), only to find that at the door we also had to pay a £20 cover charge each. For a club that charges this much to come in, and promises no more than a 70 person capacity, this place must have had at least 300 people. This made the club sweaty, uncomfortable and created a hostile atmosphere as people were unable to move. Even at our table the air-con didn't work properly, the interior was nothing special at all and personally I would rather stay at home with a piece of dry bread than go to that club again. Not only do I not recommend this club, I actively discourage anyone to even consider a night out there; you'd only end up spending more money than promised, and have an appalling night.
For those who have read this far - here are the details of our evening:
We were prepared for an evening out and had confirmed a guest list a week in advance. Some of us had gotten a deal through Keynoir, which is why we decided to try the venue. We got to the club well before 10.30pm, as management said capacity was 70. I showed up in a group of 3 girls and 2 guys, got to the front of the line and what happened next is absolutely appalling. I give you the facts and you can be the judge.
We got turned away from the club for wearing flat shoes. Would Club Bond like to comment on its narrow definition of smart casual? We have been to better clubs in London and this is the first time in my 5 years living in London I have heard this. Sorry - why don't they go tell the designers of this world that they believe flat shoes cannot be glamourous? Narrow definition equals narrow minded. I hesitate to pull the race card but no coincidence that we are all Oriental origin.
As also advised - there was 14 of us but we arrived in two groups. The second group of 8 - the girls were dressed in heels AND still go refused entry at the door. So by 10.30pm we had all been refused entry.
Anyway - Lesson 2 - Do not bother purchasing vouchers off keynoir for these deals as they are too good to be true and cause you more wasted time in the end.
Only been here once with a couple of mates but we had a great time. As per my other reviews we got in with the help of Spec Parties Guest List and got entered into their competition to win a grand just for turning up.
The club's really modern and a proper VIP venue which makes for an exciting night out. When I'm next in London I'll definitely be going back. The only downside I can think of is it's a bit of a walk from the nearest tube but there's always a taxi I suppose.
Definitely worth the visit.
When here on a saturday night.. this place is amazing!! one of the best design clubs!! had a 2 tables with loads of people and loads of alcohol.. good music too!
Booked a table for a Saturday night, had a great night and would definitely go again. It's expensive, but then again so are most London clubs.
Went for the second time this weekend and had a really good time. great music, good crowd and Victor the bar man treated us very well!
I'm only giving this one star as the decor is ok. Otherwise there is nothing to recommend this place.
Aggressive doorstaff (who insist you take off even light jackets and put them in a £2 cloakroom) and a RUDE woman on front-desk who clearly has some laughably deluded idea that she is someone important.
The venue was too light, pretty empty for a Friday night, even though they were comping entry for anyone they could manage to drag in off the street, music was from back in the early 90's and the clientele a mishmash of people who all looked a bit confused as to why they were there at all. Drinks are expensive for no good reason and you can bizarrely walk straight through to the burger bar next door through open doors by the toilets. Give this 'club' a miss.
Been there on a Saturday night. Nice decor and overall ambiance, music is pretty good. However, the crowd is not the best. Very mixed groups of people, many ridiculous and rude men. If you go with a group of friends, should be a pretty good time, as in general not that bad. We were at a table, so it was nice, as it was isolated from the dance floor. I don't know how fun it would be without a table. And I really don't get all the door staff comments. Come on, this club is not exclusive, it's not even members only. Get Real.
Went there this Saturday and had such a good night! door staff were the nicest I've ever come across, good music, really cool crowd...would definitely recommend x
Shocked at the bad reviews I've had great nights out here!!
Stay away! Really disappointed at Bond club as I had already been to the club twice before and my experiences had been very positive. However, last night changed everything. Really rude door staff, full of their own importance (why, lets face it, their standing in the cold with a clipboard - not the epitome of cool!), unwilling to take groups that are on registered guestlists, totally unprofessional treatment. Ended up spending the evening (and our money!) at Studio Valbonne and had a fantastic time. Wont be going to Bond ever again and would advise anyone else to avoid it.
Absolute disgusting behaviour by this so called exclusive club in London. We booked a corporate event for 10 guest arranging to pay double the asking price. We were then sold a package with personal waitress and private security (abit much). When arriving at the club which was not busy at all we were greeted by a easter european door staff named James. I don't understand why such people are hired if they cannot judge who are British business men and who is not and how UK VIP paying customers should be treated. We were treated highly unprofessionally and the door staff went from one excuse to another. I would not have minded but we are a UK engineering firm which booked a calender event with these jokers who tried to ruin or night. Our advice to any corporate clients is stay well clear from these cowboys and don't be crash test dummies for this outfit as the staff they have cannot cater for the VIPs need. In the end we went to Altos which is around the corner 1 minuet away and Merah. Both clubs had outstanding door staff and we would recommend them to anyone.
