Excellent and efficient service. Great cocktails. Fantastic decor and really good crowd-pleasing tunes. A lovely little bar.

Only 2 downsides:
1) It seems to attract some large groups of 'fancy dress' flappers or 50s girls and the venue is quite small for that really. Also some stag nights who - unlike the hens who are pleasant- I saw mocking actual vintage dressers in spite of their 'chosen theme' for their big night out. Not nice. I'm not surprised the bar staff have to be short with some large groups sometimes.
2) There's a really strong funny smell in the ladies' loos - damp or something.

I was really disappointed with this venue. Yes the decor is great and the cocktails in tea cups are fun, but the bar manager was extremely rude to my friend who had reserved a table and paid a deposit to hold her birthday party here on Saturday night.
The manager claimed that we had turned up late and had given the table away, despite the fact that the time had been confirmed 3 times in the week before. Mix ups happen and this wouldn't of been a problem, if his behaviour was not so rude and aggressive. Rather than apologise he was very hostile and upset my friend and appeared to do his best to upset her further by waiting until we had all purchased drinks before sending over the bar maid to throw my friends boyfriend out because he had told the bar manager he was out of order.
I definitely would not visit this bar again and would advise anyone to reconsider if planning a party here.

I totally agree with this review, unfortunately I was also unlucky enough to receive the same attitude from the staff there at a work colleague's leaving drinks. I defintely will not return to this bar again.

They were rude. And nasty. What more does anybody need to say?

If your looking for somewhere a little different than your normal suit filled central London boozers then look no further than The Bourne And Hollingsworth. I have been there several times now at the atmosphere is always grand. The place is decorated like your grans living room and serves cocktails in tea cups! The best night i have been to so far has been with out a doubt The Mad Hatter's Tea Party which i believe happens the first Thursday of every month. Some interesting and danceable bands play in the corner and DJs play all kinds of Motown, Rock N Roll, Blues, Indie, Folk, 60s pop and even a bit of Post Punk!
