Located in a 5 star hotel, Boutique 60 tries to offer a 5 star clubbing experience - and it’s not wide off the mark.

The Venue
Located on Hyde Park Gate - in the heart of Kensington - Boutique 60 occupies the club inside the Baglioni Hotel. This was once inhabited by Aviva, the club made famous when an investment banker blew his £35,000 bonus in the course of one evening.

Descend the staircase and you’ll enter an orgy of bright reds, blacks, crystals and precious stones, not to mention pillars wrapped in 24 carat gold. The booths and tables all face the stunning diamond-studded black main bar.

The Atmosphere
Boutique 60 attracts plenty of moneyed Kensington locals, as well as the A-list when in town - recent spottings have included Will Smith. One of the most impressive features of this lounge club are the expert and friendly bar staff who will stop at your booth or table for a chat, or help you with the extensive drinks menu at the bar. It’s essential to be on the guestlist here – although it has a capacity of 200, it fills up quickly. The clientele could be friendlier and more socialable on the dancefloor.

The Music
Despite boasting attracting DJs from New York and St Tropez, Boutique 60 does not have an innovative music policy, focusing on commercial dance, chart and RnB common in members clubs of this kind. That said, it’s accessible to the whole of its clientele and everyone will feel comfortable getting up for a dance here.

The Drinks
Boutique 60 comes into its own when you get to the bar. With a drinks menu reaching 40 pages, offering over 300 different cocktails, you really are spoilt for choice. You’ll be sure to find your favourite here, alongside a few mixes you hadn’t heard of before to tempt you into trying something new, all at the predictably high prices you might expect in its swanky West London locale.

The Last Word
This is a great venue to visit if you're out to impress, offering good music, unusual drink and the most glamorous of environments. It really does justice to its 5 star home.
