I have been to many west end clubs and have to say that Cafe de Paris is one of the best, Not only in terms of it's decor, which is stunning, no other venue comes close to it, but also the music, staff and atmosphere.
They also do regular stage shows with very sexy looking dancers. The prices are as you would expect from a west end venue. I agree that the door entry is strict, you have to make an effort. If you cant get in, them maybe you have to ask yourself why.
I will definitely be going back.

Me and girls went here on the 01/03/08 (saturday). A good night was had but if your really into having a party this may not be the place to go on a saturday night.

It gets packed and I found the music to be quite dated. The dj was not that good at mixing tunes or styles together. All in all I would class this as a if all else fails type club. Met a lot of very nice people there though.

Okay, this is for the people who ALWAYS critisize the night clubs. You dress up, go there, get bloody drunk and then all you remember next day is how bad was the staff. This is London West End, all the night clubs will have cons such as strict door policy and pricey drinks!!

Cafe De Paris is one of the best nightclubs I've ever been to! First of all, its massive ceiling makes such a good impression, design and decor is definitely brilliant! Second, I got in without any problems, no one even asked for my ID! Third, most importantly, the music was absolutely great. I love rnb music, and on that friday night there was plenty of hip-hop and rnb mixed jams which basically made my night on that venue.

You don't feel like at the basement of some building and claustrophobic about it (like in Pangaea, Movida and other posh but dark places).

I definitely will go next time (on friday) and maybe with reserved table. It is decent place to go on friday evening and have so much fun

After reading so many bad reviews I was a little sceptical about even attempting to get into this club but have top admit it wasn't too bad at all!

Admittedly the guy who let us in was a bit up his own arse and had this nasty habit at looking down his nose at you...coupled with lots of camp head tossing! But once in we had a pretty good night....the drinks were average prices for a london club and the music was a pretty good mix.

As we were leaving at the end of the night we were approached by a doorman who asked us if we wanted a taxi. He called one for us giving us time for one last drink in the bar then he escorted us to the taxi waiting outside the club.....pretty good service!

Well after the mixed reviews cafe has had i hope to shed some light on the place!
id say firstly its the door staff who let this venue down!
after making a table reservation with a group of friends for his birthday we got there to be told they wernt letting anyone in as they were full although the comb-overed italian looking head bouncer let every white female who wanted entry in, it was blatantly obvious they wernt letting any coloured race in!
which i find hilarious as a white looking female...me and my friend 2 weeks before walked straight in without even paying!
when and if you get inside yes its a good venue bar staff are really friendly drinks are of the norm price for the west end, the music mix is mainly chart funky house r'n'b they did play some cheese but im sure by then everyone was too gone to realise let alone hear what they were dancing to!
the vip toilets have an unusal pong to them and the main toilets upstairs are no better being sweaty overcrowded with a miserably rude attendant and a permanent fog of hairspray.
however get it on the right night (ive been both saturday and sundays) and its a wicked venue to be in, in vip your well catered for its defo worth booking a table direct.
its just obvious that on some days management clearly arnt doing their job!
im thinking this venue will have a refurb or even a good spring clean soon as their carpets are getting grotty and its starting to feel as a not such a great venue in comparison to funky budda pangea and paper.
Hit and miss venue really my tip to ask on the door what its like inside they give you advise!

One of the nastiest, vilest places I have ever been to on a Saturday night. Quite possibly the ugliest crowd of out of towners in the entire city of London, scary, scary scary. Full of kids with T-shirts, trainers, toilets overflowing. How this place can possibly say it is upmarket is incredible. You'd have more fun sticking pins in your eyes on a Saturday and there are hundreds of better places to go...

Cafe de Paris, in the heart of the West End is definatley a decent venue - don't let the mixed reviews put you off. You just have to know what you're getting before you go - it's not going to be to everyone's tastes.

Firstly - the music on a Saturday night is a good mix between mainstream RnB and Funky House. You'll also find the odd old skool classic. Music wise this isn't the finest venue in London - but there's more to the place than that.

The place looks stunning and is the perfect backdrop for any glamourous evening. There's alot of talk about the staff being rude - personally I didn't find this to be the case at all. We had a table in the VIP area and I found all the staff to be really polite at all times. We even got extra free drinks. It's a two-way street you know - treat them with respect and they'll return the favour.

I think they've got a pretty good door policy going - it's not too harsh so that most mere mortals don't have a cat in hell's chance of getting in, but selective enough to ensure you get a decent crowd inside. Maybe the only thing letting this place down is the expensive prices behind the bar - but given it's in the heart of London I suppose it's to be expected.

There's alot to enjoy about Cafe de Paris and it's a great venue for those more prestigious evenings and events. But I would recommend you get yourself on the guestlist and also book a table to really enjoy yourself.
