Husband and i went here for a special Christmas night out Saturday 19th December 2011. We decided to choose this place as it gave us a great excuse to dust off our best glad rags and really go to town for the even. We booked for the Wam Bam show all done through the internet and this was quite easy, one thing they could do is to send you a E-mail to say that tickets are not sent in the post but that you will have to print off your Tickets to take - We nearly left the house without them and if it wasn't for my quick thinking in checking my e-mail I wouldn't have know otherwise. We arrived a little late (show starts at 7pm and we arrived just after 8pm. We walked straight in and was welcomed by a lovely polite lady on the desk who proceeded to explain everything to us, where the cloak room was, toilets, bar etc. Cloak room staff, lovely and helpful and I believe it was free to hang our coats. The club decor - beautiful (just what we expected) and colourful. The toilets - exceptionally clean to include a lovely toilet attendant in the ladies who added to the atmosphere with beautiful song :O) The show -a good mixture,comedy/dance/cabaret - including audience participation too. On arrival we found the place not pack - just enough people so loads of room to wander round to explore the place. There was limited seating - unless you had pre-booked a table on the balcony which I understand can be quite expensive and comes with a minimum drinks spend. Then Swiftly at 10pm once the show has finished everyone was ushered into the side room, Lush almost sexy with beds and an additional bar while they cleared the main floor in ready for the nightclub to kick in — then the party started and the club filled. Music pumpin, everyone in their best dress, no teenagers or louts, just a bunch of really nice people all out for a good time. The only down side to the club is the drinks prices are extortionate - by bottles of wine if drinking, much cheaper then buying by the glass.

I've been to Cafe 3 times and only actually gained entry once. The door staff at this club are horrific and vile. I understand that as bouncers they can't take crap from punters but seriously there is no need for the attitude and pure disrespect they give to you. The most recent time we were turned away because a group of boys in front of us in the queue got turned away and in a desperate plea to get in told the bouncer they were with us so we were kicked out of the queue and told to leave.
To be honest, even when inside the club is a bit of a let down, drinks are ridiculously expensive, and the club empties out by 2 o'clock leaving a few stragglers on the dance-floor. Overall a very over rated, over priced mediocre club with rude staff.

A stylish venue let down by rather rude staff who act is they're extras from a Russian mafia film. Also beware of being charged 12.5% extra for drinks even if ordered at the bar! I was quoted one price, then handed a card machine to enter my PIN to find it had a completely different figure - about £10 more added - I think the is amounts to fraud, and regardless of the legality of it is reflective of a venue that seems to care more about screwing as much money as possibly out of its customers rather than providing fair and honest service.

Went to Wam Bam for the second time last night with a group of friends. We loved the show the first time we went but they seem to have replaced glamour and classy showgirls with tacky routines that seem to feature men with their tops off for the sole purpose of making hen parties scream.

Cafe de Paris was packed to the point we were forced to sit on the stairs to get a decent view, not what you expect when you have to pay that much for a ticket! Lady Alex is a superb host for the show and has got even better from the last time I saw her but she should stick to what she's good at as her actual routines look really shoddy when they're up against some stunning burlesque girls.

The improvising hip hop duo were incredible and well deserving of their standing ovation, as were the dance trio, the drag act and the acrobats but the rest seemed like weak filler.

Certainly not worth the ticket price (and obscene drinks prices!) and they seem to have gone from being the classiest show in town to just providing amateur, tacky "entertainment" for hen parties.

We went to la reve at cafe de Paris last night and i have to say it was absolutely fantastic. The food was amazing, the staff extremely friendly and helpful and the cabaret show was the best I've seen. I don't know why there are so many negative reviews of this place but myself and my 13 guests thought it was fantastic.

I regret to be in this club on 13/08/2011, I and my girlfriend model really fancy dressed and in a mood to show off a bit one in a year went to this club expecting to get a spell of Parisian politeness and high customer service what we know from trips to Paris. Ok they let us in with discount so we paid 15pound each. But men no in million years I expect to meet such a rood attitude from a bouncer inside. He looked like a character from hora movie not to say more. An a way how he asked us to leave a patch between stairs where we stood with drinks and chat was way too much for us to stay in this club! We moved slowly but he urged us twice! However, here is nothing to complain about the interior but the staff of club has to be changed if this place is going to succeed! So chaps just avoid, find other option to indulge yourself in the centre.

I went to the Cafe De Paris for the first time ever, for Alex Reid's birthday party last Saturday. I had a fab night and I just want to say how wonderfully honest and trustworthy the staff are in finding my phone and saving it for me to pick up. I was distraught to lose it and SO relieved when they returned it to me.

I can't fault the place. Beautifully decorated, top music and the best staff !!

Went to the wam bam club on the 11th June and myself and my party of 10 others all had the most amazing night. I found questions via email were answered swiftly and with no fuss. The venue was fabulous! The food was scrummy, the entertainment was funny, sexy and exactly what id hoped for. Service was friendly, nothing seemed too much bother and the after party and club just finished the night off. All my group commented that they had a fantastic time, even the ones who beforehand had said it was an expensive night. After they were all saying it was worth every penny, specially for special occainsions and we will all be going back!

The truth is that as glamorous as the photos are for advertising this energetic evening it does not deliver in the entertainment stakes. For its entire cabaret audaciousness, it is a show which lacks enough punch or originality to really knock your socks off. To add to the disappointment for the evening was the quality of food which can only be described as resembling school dinners than elegant cuisine. To conclude if by burlesque the Wam Bam Club mean to ridicule their audience by fleecing their money from them then the succeeded; but if it is to provide a variety show characterised by broad ribald comedy, dancing, and striptease then you will be sorely disillusioned.

Such a good night out at Cafe de Paris. Music is awesome if you (like me) enjoy being able to sing along to chart music... bit o cheese.

Good crowd, good looking people but didn't feel pretentious like some west end (or other) clubs. We arrived around 10:30 and it quickly got packed after 11pm.
Definitely going back.

We ordered a few different cocktails and the bartender did not have a clue how to make them and tasted awful (bless him) - which I wouldn't care but at £11 a pop, which is normal for this part of town, it was worth a mention. Just stick to normal drinks : )

Have fun party people!

Visited this club again last Saturday, am always amazed at the decor, really is beautifull.
Had dinner at the Wam Bam club at 8pm, great show really funny. Ideal for a girls night out. Food was of a good standard with service friendly and swift.
Stayed on later for the club night and had a really good night. Although did not really get that busy until after 11pm, but then got really packed. Good looking people.
Did not get a chance to go onto the balcony level, as you need to book at table, but this area also look really busy.
I found all staff to be really friendly, even after one of my friends lost her bag, which the security found for us. ( we had left it by the bar).
I often go out to clubs in the west end of London, I feel Cafe de Paris is one of the less pretentious ones without being full of cheesy tourists.
I cant really find anything to fault this venue, maybe a bit too busy at times with not much seating, unless you have pre booked a vip table.
otherwise great great great.

I've been there a few times, entry is a little bit pricey so are the drinks but then again that is the case for all clubs in central London. What put me off is the fact that it can be a complete sausage fest, dominated by older men who follow younger girls around like vultures but I'm not hating as I can imagine, once I've hit 30, I wouldn't hesitate to hook up with 20 year olds. Anyhow, decent night, decent music, okay-ish looking girls. Everything is just a a little bit above average ; )

the club was very pretty & glamourous. The door staff were courteous & the it took moments to go through the entrance process and to be seated. Our view of the show was partially obscured by pillars as we were up on the balcony at the back, but it didn't really matter that much. The Wam Bam night was really good, I laughed my head off, it is a credit to Cafe De Paris, I couldn't find fault with the entertainment at all. Also when the disco kicks in, there is a little side room that plays funky tunes and has an altogether more 'smiley' and less pretentious clientele- I recommend that you make your way there shortly after the show ends.

A few spoilers on the night were, getting hideously overcharged by our sour faced waitress, being surrounded near the last 3rd of the show by noisy rude people who had not reserved seats and chose to perch on mine while continuing their inane bleating with all the social awareness of Timmy Mallet. Also the fact that you are turfed out of said seats the moment the show is over to make way for people who can afford to spend minimum £1000 on the night to secured the table & chairs (we're talking about a side table & 2 chairs by the way, not a banquetting table). The drinks menu goes from about £30- £3000, I'm more on the £30 end so I ended up feeling cheap when in actual fact it's just hideously overpriced- To all you folks who are happy to spend over a grand on 70cl of alcohol, feel free to come and purchase some of my wine stock anyday.

I was so wrong, Cafe De Paris places nowhere as a nightclub experience. It is obviously just an area which they`ve latched onto as an after thought. The clock exploded at midnight, that was a nice touch. No glass staircase, just a functional uninteresting one. No change at the bar, not in my case at any rate, making juice and water five pounds. I`d also be quite surprised if all of the sardines, another down marker, that eventually joined us, actually paid the full fifty pounds pre-booking admission. I noticed none of those pretty people, certainly no celebrities, and their dancers, of only average beauty, didn`t even move their feet - I wasn`t persuaded that they could actually dance at all. Although, apart from early on, when they were anyway off stage, and perhaps at the end(?), we left long before then, no actual dance music was released. The definition of dance music being sound with a variable beat, not merely constantly stuck - Club managers and d. J`s are the main reason that our youth can at best only jerk around. Cafe de Paris is apparently doing nothing to alter this. The music was in my view both overly cut-up and too loud, acoustically down market, made far worse by volume, and certainly not highly expensive and top quality sound - The speakers were poorly spread. Velvet flock and silks it was not, in fact, I was the only person so dressed, and the only girl adorned silver my partner. We even appeared to be the only couple to actually show dance, not that the d. J. Afforded us too much of that. It`s not out of five, this is a star rating! No balcony is a massive minus, otherwise, I should have afforded them one star. I had been so very wrong before. The clubbing experience can only harm their otherwise top ranking reputation! On the basis of N. Y. E not A single star! - Not yet, but watch this space!

Went there for a 20th birthday on a saturday arrived around 10ish and was on guestlist even though we was too late so had to pay the £20 which was bit expensive then got a drink which again was corona for £4 double vodka lemonade for about £8 which again is expensive. But apart from them downsides the music was spot on for what i like as was a electric mix of new and old commercial tunes and especially if you going with a young crowd is a great night.

Definitely will be going again the music and the venue made the night was just amazin!

This is celebrity (not a real celebrity!! - Though I was to Dukes in Chelmsford several years back, ha,ha) I`ll be there for the first time this evening, New Year`s Eve.
From these reviews it appears it`s a venue which people either love or hate, and that it may be the younger punters that are doing the most loving. It could be that youth has less of an issue over the us and them celebrity culture, and it`s the price that they have to pay to keep them on board. Most people would surely prefer that they were there, and I know for a fact that this is the case for the younger clubber.
The fact is it`s out there that pretty people, come celebrities frequent this club, and it`s obvious that such people must be shown the most attention.
In club environments door staff must be strict, and physically dominant, this taking it you accept that safety should be the first consiDeration - Even at Cafe de Paris there may be potential thugs, and especially here this element must be subdued.
The club has done exceptionally well by professional review!
With a finite capacity it`s probably acceptable that occasionally not all of the audience will have the same perfect view of the stage, but in my opinion they should offer at least a small discount to those it most concerns. Perhaps they already do.
As for seating, I cannot understand how one can consider it reasonable to expect that there will always be a seat free in a night club environment, especially as more than a generous compliment of seats would never be used.
My rating now is an estimate based upon reading between the lines of these reviews, and everything else which I`ve heard and been told. Incidentally, I`m fifty five years old!

If I could I would leave a rating for this pretentious, shabby, horrid place without any stars - but the system doesn't allow it unfortunately. We were on the guestlist - what a scam - so we queued for about 20 minutes (i thought guestlist means your queue is shorter than the ones who are not on the list, but clearly, my mistake). Then we were greeted by a horrid little gay man, who thought he is God or something. He was extremely rude in talking to us, though he had no reason, as we were very polite. Then came in a tall attitude-problem-chick, also very rude. After this we decided to say byebye to the whole thing and ended up going out somewhere else. I don't know if management reads these reviews, but woooow wake up! Change your staff, otherwise u'll end up closing this dump soon enough. We Certainly hope so.

My husband and I went to this club last weekend with another couple of good friends and having read these reviews beforehand, were concerned at what we may find. We had opted for the three-course dining option (a good choice) and from the minute we arrived, the service was excellent. The bouncers were not rude (they were there to keep the wrong types out!), certainly the waitresses were most attentive and pleasant. The food was good too - a big surprise given that the meal was not the main purpose of the night. We opted for a few bottles of your average cabernet sauvignon and this was not extortionate at around 20 quid a bottle. Yes champagne is pricey but its not compulsory to drink it! The prices compared with what you would see in any city club. The show was totally entertaining, a great variety of comedy and cheeky without being tasteless and suitable for mixed company. There was something for everyone and the little room by the VIP lounge played great middle of the road music, whilst the main room was more current music - the choice is yours. The decor was totally right for a vintage-style event such as burlesque and added to the atmosphere. We all had a fab night and would thoroughly recommend it as a fun night out with a difference. I wonder if the negative review are genuine - all we could see were people having fun and enjoying themselves. One negative - the loos are too small but that's hardly good reason not to go. Don't be put off. TMDP of Bham.x

Having visited Cafe de Paris several times over the last couple of years, I have to say i am surprised by the last couple of reviews on this site.
For me the venue is absolutely stunning. The staff always well presented and polite, even when they are dealing people who have had too much to drink, (probably the ones who have written such negative comments).
The customers are generally of a good standard, not too young, but not too old either, and without the pretentious attitude of some clubs in the west end.
The music is good, although much the same as you will hear in any west end club.
I have only eaten once at the restuarant, (a firends birthday), the cabaret was ok, if a bit cheesy, food well above average and staff who served us, polite and efficent.
If i have to find a negative it would be that sometimes it can get really crowded and there are not many seats. Unless you are in the vip area.
But then if I had wanted to sit down all night, I would have stayed at home watching TV.

Ahem!
Too much to drink...I don't think so. Stone cold sober when we arrived - both my wife & I are professionals in our early 40's & have moved beyond getting blind drunk on nights out. Been there; done that! We fancied something a bit different to the usual restaurant meal out & cannot begin to tell you how disappointing this experience was.
Didn't expect to sit & watch the telly, but, if you're there 4 hours plus, a five-minute sit down surely isn't too much to ask for.
I'm sorry if you don't agree, but I only write as I find. For the money, in central London, this should be soooo much better.
Quite genuine, by the way.

My wife & I went to the Wam Bam Club at Cafe de Paris 3 weeks ago, having booked dinner for during the show. The meet & greet bit was great - very friendly and attentive.
The seating is on large circular tables, arranged on the dancefloor, with groups of all sizes. The Maitre'D seemed confused as to where to put us, as there seemed to be more people booked at the table than there were places for. So we were then parked at a booth where we couldn't see the stage. We asked to move, and after quite a bit of angst, were moved so we could see the show. (well it was kind of why we were there).
The show was fantastic and we really enjoyed it - thanks!
The Cafe de Paris, though is not fit to host quality entertainment - poor quality food, brought (no..thrown at us) at random intervals by disinterested staff.
Once the tables were cleared (they do make this clear in their blurb), we had a bit of a boogie and then found we weren't allowed to sit anywhere - the booths were booked by groups and the balcony areas are available only to the "pretty people" and "VIPs." If you're a normal person looking for somewhere to sit for 2 minutes or put your drink down, you'll be pounced upon by a be-suited KGB-wannabe and put in your place.
So, great show, but if you want to be treated like something the bouncer just trod in, come right in! We have complete empathy with some of the experienced described on here.

Totally agree! We were a party of ten. Tickets were about £36.50 per person. We were greeted by some idiot in a suit who looked like he was high as a kite, looked us up and down, Clearly we didn't meet the 'paris hilton wannabe' list and were shoved in a squashed seating area on the balcony. To see the show you would have to stand and lean over the balcony to which a knuckle head bouncer would bark at you to sit down.
If you're not buying £180 bottles of champagne (min price) then forget about being served promptly if at all. You can expect the waiter to whisk your half finished bottle of wine away when you're not looking, this is obviously their USP to drive sales. A vodka and coke will cost you £10. And they only serve doubles which I'm sure is not in line with the 'governments responsible drinking'.
Once the show is finished you are immediately asked to leave the seating area or pay £500, bearing in mind these are the same seats you paid forwhen booking your ticket.
You are ushered down to the dance floor where there is no seating unless you are VIP, model, celebrity or a paris hilton lookalike. And don't even think about putting your hand bag down - a knucklehead doorman will appear from no where and you'll be told to put it in the cloak room...which suprise suprise you have to pay for.
Told waste of money and the shows not even that impressive. I'd rather spend the cost of a ticket and go to Brick House in Bricklane where you can have your own table, 5 course meal, reasonably priced drinks, good entertainment, entrance to the club afterwards, and the staff are friendly. Good value for money, and the average looking joe's money is just as good as anyone's.....you don't have to be a size zero, tangerine bimbo to get good service! Anyone is welcome. Atmosphere is much better.
P.S If I could rate cafe de paris as nil I would but lucky for them it's not an option. Don't waste your money folks!

Went to this club last year and had a real good time. This year me and the same friend came down from ipswich and decided to try another club. We were in stanza for 20 minutes before we decided that we should have really gone back to cafe de paris,so this is what we done and yet again it didnt let us down! Yes the drinks are expensive and going on a saturday can be pretty crowded, but i feel it is well worth it. Dont really care too much about the staff as long as they got my drink right and i got served quick enough then i couldnt ask for more. The music was great and i was lovin all the dancers! When i come bak to london which i am hoping is pretty soon there will be nowhere else i will be partying other than cafe de paris.

Not the best place i have ever been too, very very croweded to the point i could not move i had to stand on the stairs to even catch some breath, the club itself is beautiful and the staff are very friendly but for a night out experience my sister used to love this club but she left after an hour and half and it was her birthday so she was a little disappointed. The girls looked the part but didn't really dance that much well not to the tunes but it was a nice theme. I don't think we will be coming back for a while which is a shame :-(

Worst club I ever been to! Avoid avoid avoid! Went on Saturdays with a 5 other mixed friends.- rude staff- full of chavs and Jordan wannabes, and extremely smel definitely not classy and stylish!- tacky and filthy (my hands were sticky and covered of a black oil and I only touched the stairs rail)- expensive and tasteless drinks, completely full of ice, it took us 2 seconds to drink ours and we couldn't even taste the alchool.

crap dj: he kept jumping from rnb to rock, to house and to pop and kept each song for just 20secs! Extremely annoying!- disgusting ladies toilets, they shares the sinks with the male toilets that while queuing I could actually see guys peeing. And of course not washing their hands because there was a huge queue o ladies in front of the sinks. Complaint with the manager as we wanted our money back after 20 mins of being in the club. Extremely rude, he said to send him an email today because there was nothing he could have done on the night. Seriously people don't go and give money to these people! I have read all the reviews before going and I wanted to give it the benefit of the doubt but I wish I didn't!

After reading some of the reviews on here I thought I should write my comments, as it appears I had a totally different experience....

Me and my friends went along for one of the 'Wham Bam' nights, tho not for dinner, just drinks. The show was great, and only £25 so a bargain!! Drinks aren't the cheapest in the world, but come on, it's the West End so it's gonna be a little pricey, having said that I've been to far more expensive places.

We found all the staff to be very nice, we had a good laugh with our waitress and the barman were nice. Security were't over the top pleasant, but I think that's cause they were keeping and eye on those who were a little too merry......

All in all, we had a great night, the music you could dance too, the venue looked really good and the big bang things they do were fab! I'd definitely go back and recommend it to anyone.

Went to see the Wam Bam Club last night and had a brilliant time!

Really liked the place and the show was absolutely amazing! There are plenty of places doing cabaret in London but none quite like Wam Bam, it was the perfect mix of sexy burlesque, comical burlesque, dancing (the can can was incredible!), comedy, music, acrobatics...

Just a really good fun night out and I'd recommend it to anyone!

We came on two occasions in December and after reading theee past few reviews I felt like I need to share my experiences at Cafe de Paris:
First time we came was on Saturday 19th December for the Wam Bam club, we arrived at 7pm and were shown toour table for our company Xmas dinner (12 of us), The food and service was great, our waitress very efficient ad discreet so we could watch the show which as very good and funny. Wes the american comedian is brilliant! The selection of wine was good, we had a great sauternes with our desserts, lovely! At 10pm we moved to the VIP room for after dinner drinks until the club opened. The club night was just amazing, music, dancers and staff! The Fuel Girls Xmass show was another highlight of the night! Such a good night we decided to come back for our NYE party!
Our NYE party was only 6 of us and once again we went for the Wam Bam club option for £85 for the show, meal and champagne on arrival. Once again service and food were great, I had the Beef Fillet which was so tender and well cooked, we had a to wait a little between our starters and mains but we were not in a hurry and no one seemed to mind, gave us time to chat and enjoy the show!
The NYE Mask party was much fun, exploding clock at midnight with fireworks and the Fuel Girls being back made our first few hours of 2010 the best!
Don't judge Cafe de Paris by the reviews, it's a great place not pretentious and with great friendly staff and food! (I guess some peope are just hard to please :-)
We have already booked our xmas party for 2010 and are going bac to Wam Bam on 05/02!

The drinks were very expensive and the decor was tacky. A few years ago it might have been a good club, but now it mainly attracts unclassy wannabe wags and middle aged men! Don't waste your time or money going. I will definitely not be going back.

Absolute waste of money. Place tacky - stinks of vomit, food appalling (although granted it was Xmas menu), tacky, unfunny, tasteless 'show'. Claokroom lost 2 of our parties coats. Can't believe how much money my comapny wasted in this awful place.

Where to start, we decided to book up Cafe de Paris for our Christmas Party this year. We did the whole bang shoot, hired the Limo, dressed up in our glitz and glam etc. It started off very well. The Entrance was absolutely gorgeous and the hostess was lovely. She showed us to our table (the dance floor had been converted into the seating area) and it really looked lovely. That's where it ended! The waiting staff were so unfriendly, i'm sure I even heard one 'shoosh' a guest at the table.

Our food was brought out by a guy who looked like he was doing a 'deer in the headlight' impression and it was brought out in drips & drabs. We had to beg for the wine that we had pre-ordered & we had to eat to a timescale. In fact, our one guest left to use the toilet and came back and they had removed his chair in order to clear the dance floor, he had to stand for 10 minutes while the rest of us finished up. We then had a problem with the bill, which was sorted out at a later stage although it did feel like quite a fight even though we had spent lots of money (must say the lady who did the Initial email reservations was brilliant and she cleared things up later in the week).

We then moved up to the vip area, I have to say that this was good service. We did have a dedicated lady who looked after us the rest of the evening serving us drinks in style etc so for that & the Initial reservations staff i'll give it two stars. I just think for all the money spent, the food is mediocre and the waiting staff are unfriendly (an explanation being that they work very hard, yes we work hard too which is why we deserved a nice Christmas Party)! There may be other places more suitable for a good night.

Ps: In the bathroom, I overheard a lady say that they had spent over £1000.00 on dinner and went to the bar/seating area for a drink but were then being asked to leave if they didn't buy more booze. Nice!

I would start by advising anyone to go elsewhere, total waste of money. Our experience started well door staff were friendly and efficient, lady taking the £20 entrance fee was nice as were the other staff i encountered. The club was playing drab 90s music when we arrived which was ok as we arrived quite early and expected it to get better, how wrong we were the music was abysmal and continued to be so all night. the drinks are over priced but it is london and didn't expect it to be any different £8.50 for a bacardi and coke. The club is very small take a look at the picture on the website of the lovely grand staircase and chandalier thats it you land on the undersized dance floor. This it it, nowhere else to go no seating except a couple of seats out side the toilets.( 2 cubicles in the ladies toilet so don't wait untill your desperate!!) There were seating areas but they were all roped off for vip guests paying the £500 for a table, only a couple of tables were occupied during our visit but still we were not aloud to sit down. by about 1am we couldn't stand the rubbish music and over filled dance floor and went home. The clientel were a mixture of sleazy asian men trying to take advantage of drunken whire girls and russian prostitute looking girls, not exactly the nicest atmosphere. I certainly won't be returning to cafe de paris or be recommending it anyone.

We went to Wam Bam Club at Cafe de Paris on Sat 7 November and what an amazing time we had! I would most definitely recommend Wam Bam Club, we were a group of 13 girls on a hen do (note they don't allow 'typical' hen parties with sashes/badges etc) and we had a ball! The show was really varied, so a mixture of Burlesque, comedy and art so something for everyone! It really was hilarious and one of the best shows I have seen.

The food at Cafe de Paris was in general really tasty, although some of the group didn't enjoy theirs (seabass dish) and the wine is £20 a bottle. So for three courses with wine and service we all paid £55 each and felt full and merry!

The club bit after wards was good but not as good as the show and I had a run of bad luck - I got my foot jumped on by an over enthusiastic dancer and pushed by an arrogant man for knocking over the bottle of wine he had put on the dance floor (as you do!) so we went home and carried on the party there!

If you haven't been to Cafe de Paris, make a night of it and do Wam Bam Club there because you can watch the show, eat and dance all in one amazing evening!

A group of us visited Cafe de Paris on Saturday, 7th November, and had an amazing time. The queue to get in took a while, but once in was well worth it.

The people were a good mix of party heads and cool people, but not the arrogant sort that can be found in some london clubs, and loads of hot men.

The music was also very good. Staff seemed polite, although not overly friendly, but then again they were busy working.Bar prices seemed average for this sort of club. (never cheap enough, if you ask me).

The venue itself is actually amazing, there is just nothing like it in London.I was cautious after reading some of the reviews on this site, but i cannot find fault with my night out, guess you can never please all of the people all of the time and some people just like to moan.

I have been to most of the clubs in the west end and would say that Cafe de Paris is one of the best on all fronts and one I will going back to more regularly.

where do i start... me and my friends were out last night for what we thought was going to be a great night and james bond theme evening but to our disappointment it was a disaster!

starting off with us innocently standing in the queue and all of a sudden while we were minding our own business one of the promoters who works for cafe de Paris started to be very rude!!

first of all he was making fun of one of our friends and after a couple of us asked him politely to leave him alone this only fuelled his aggression towards us!

for the next 10minutes while waiting in the queue we were subjected to more of his abuse! it spanned from personal attacks and criticism.

the questions he was asking were completely inappropriate and very humiliating. by the time we got to the door I was fuming and I complained to the girl on the door about this person and he rudely interrupted and in the end she sided with him and said out loud in front of us all "don't worry i know you didn't say that" to him!

from then on the staff were very rude and we were not made to feel welcome after just spending £10 to get in!!

bar staff were neglectful and would rather polish glasses than serve us!the general clientele that the club was letting in were not classy people, on a number of occasions people tried to steal our drinks!

also the fact that they repeated the music over and over, one song came on 3 times!! in general it was not a successful evening and i would urge all people thinking of going not to!!!! it is a waste of money and your time!!!!

It is a shame we went to this club and we'll never be back for sure. The prices are ok, not the worst you can find in the place like this.

We only spent about 10 mins on the dance floor when someone from the top floor spilled the drink.

First time it wasn't that bad and could be forgotten. The second time it started to annoy. When they did it the third time we started the conversation with the manager as my £60 shirt was partly covered with the red wine..

We knew the table who did this and the manager told us that he is going to bring that people to us and they will apologize otherwise they will be kicked out from the club.

There he was told off as he changed his defence strategy. He came back saying that people there move from table to table and it is hard to say who did this.

I suggested that certain table should be fared at least for the inappropriate behaviour and "property damage".

The manager irrelatively responded that the table costs £500. Why would he said that? If it was £15K I could be slightly impressed but anyway, what it has to do with the issue?

I suggested that considering the price for the table that people capable of paying the same penalty fare: £500.

The manager was surprised by this option and started to convince me that such things happen accidentally and then even showed me the scar on the neck which he got from the dropped bottle in the club! :)))

I requested the names of the people booked that table and the club policy regulations. I wasn't given either of it and was invited to consider the issue Mon-Fri on a day time.

The manager talked to me as if I'm dumb or drunk. They don't care about their guests. We weren't offered any complimentary options. We decided to leave and weren't given a refund.

10 mins in the club and 20 mins of negotiations costing £105 (entrance + lost shirt) plus a really bad mood for all th

I went to Cafe de Paris for my birthday on a Saturday night as I haven't been out in London much.

1. Man sorting the guest list was very rude - he spoke to you as if you were stupid.

2. Bouncers were very arrogant and not at all welcoming.

3. The girls taking the money were friendly, but the lady stamping our arm was not friendly at all either.

Therefore the staff were very rude BUT the bar men were all very pleasant and had a laugh with you.

Drinks were not cheap - it cost around £15 for two drinks. The music was really good - it was chart songs and some r&b which was perfect.

There was a mixture of people, a few sleazy men, but then also some hotties. Watch out for the stairs into the club, they go down, and when your a bit wobbly you feel quite unstable and a lot of concentration goes into this.

My friends and i dined at Cafe de Paris last weekend. The main ballroom is stunning with food to match.

You definately feel special from when you walk into the place with its grandeur and decadence.

We decided to stay on in the club afterwards. You get the real feel of burlesque during the evening.

Great entertainment with confetti bursts at midnight from the elaborate chandelier.Great night out. Fantastic birthday treat.

Had dinner at Cafe de Paris last Saturday and found the food to be of a high standard with great entertainment throughout.

The Staff were all very friendly and polite. Although the price of dinner and drinks is not cheap, when you factor in the shows you get with dinner and the fact you can stay on for the nightclub after, the value for money is actually amazing.

The venue itself is amazing, grand sweeping staircases and a huge chandelier above the dance floor.

Several hidden rooms at the back of the venue. The customers were not as pretentious as I expected, but still a pretty cool crowd.

It got really busy by 12am, we left about 12.30am and there was still a lengthy queue to get in.

I would reccomend this venue for eating, as well as drinking and dancing, as the whole package represents great value of money, plus you avoid the queues and entrance fee if you eat in the restaurant first.

I tried to give this place no stars, but unfortunately the functionality wouldn't let me. Which is a shame.

I would issue a heartfelt plea to anyone using this site to spread the word. This place is abysmal.

Rude staff, overpriced drinks, tinkers in silver spandex, and food that looks (and tastes) that it was regurgitated by a tramp round the back of McDonalds in Leicester Square.

Infact, I would say go to McDonalds before you go here. After spending £40 per head for 'dinner' (cold rubbery scallops with hot (hot!) coleslaw; slimy seabass with supernoodles - I declined dessert as I couldn't take any more), and then another £70 each for alcohol (not an impressive feat as you may think when you view the markup on alcohol) we were rudely told we had to either guarantee another £500 minimum spend or vacate the table.

We left, not sure if the bad taste in our mouths was attributable to the food or to the service.

Given that you can go to Murano or Marcus Wareing at The Berkely and spend the same amount for an amazing meal, surrounded by gracious staff and a delightful atmosphere, I wonder how places like this are surviving the credit crunch.

A gross experience. The food was truly revolting. Battered, cold scallops with hit coleslaw?

A sliver of sea bass on Chinese takeaway noodles, with sugary, red gloop? Foul.

The staff are an unfortunate mix of hostile and incompetent. Still - it must be taxing working in a room of braying knackers.

The room is beautiful, that is the only redeeming feature; but the food and staff make this place a disgusting experience

I went to Cafe De Paris last week and had a really great night. I was surprised by the cost of drinks myself.

Although they were not exactly cheap, they were not as expensive as I was expecting for a top London club. Cocktails started at £8 which I was content with. The whole décor of the place was excellent and my friend and I admired the layout of the club.

Plenty of dance space with a few tables dotted around for us non V.I.P's to rest our killing feet. The only major issue I had with my visit was the lack of air con.

Packed dance space mixed with large quantities of alcohol made my friend and I feel like we were about to pass out!

Something must be done about the heat in their but, other than that, I had really really great night and cannot wait to return!

Sadly I went to the Cafe de Paris last night. Had a totally horrible time. My food was late, the meal was average, the show was OK but the door staff were hideous in a typical I rule the world sort of way.

The decor is extravagant as well as the prices. The club was too hot, so no air con and the crowd were a bit desperate!

I am not keen on this tourist trap area of London, there are far better and friendlier clubs in town.

Really don't rate the club at all and I found the burlesque dancing was poorly executed and the dancing girls needed paper bags for their heads!

You are sold the idea of a sexy, fun evening which it certainly doesn't live up to!

Mr Moore, you need to review what you are offering but somehow I imagine it would not be in your interests.

I have been going to Cafe de Paris for approx 1 year now and have always had a great time.

Getting in can sometimes be difficult, as it gets really busy and you need to make an effort with your appearance/dress, but once you are in it is amazing, from the decor, the staff and the atmosphere.

I have been to many other west end clubs and not had such a great time every time. Have never eaten in its restautant so can't comments, but as a club, just the BEST.

About six years ago I visit this place for the first time, travelled down with a beautiful lady who showed me around the west end.

We ended up is this club, that was as far as I was concerned, is the best!Thrilling, audacious, entertaining, and just walking down the steps ‘into the area’ is like stepping into a movie, if truth be told, glamorous, loved it.

Every corner of the place is like a little adventure ready to be explored, loved it, loved it, and loved it.

If you’re up for a bit of energetic fun, fun, fun, then visit the little secret room (as I remember it), towards the back end of the club, is submerged in darkness, a place to visit at lease once.

Judging from the comments it seems like it's still rocking!!

I went to Cafe De Paris for dinner and drinks on Saturday night. We were blown away by how beautiful if was.

The door men and the lady who led us through to the dining area were so lovely.

Unfortunately, the rest of their team let them down. The waiters/waitress were incredible slow and forgetful.

I asked for a glass of water three times before they brought out a whole jug.We understood that after dinner the tables would be removed from the dance floor, that was fine.

We then asked where else we could be seated for the rest of the night. A member of the team pointed to a booth and told us that we could sit there if we paid £500.00!!!

Other than that we had to "stand or dance". There was no offers to take jackets or direct us to where we could leave them.

So here we are hanging around the bar with all our jackets and bags, and I order a drink. The very dismissive bar tender took my card AND PUT IT IN HIS MOUTH!!! I would usually say something at this point, but I think I was too shocked.

I wish I had have told him off as I did not order saliva with my drinks. So yeah, that's about it really.

Don't mind me, I may be the wrong side of 20 for this sort of place? It was an eye opener :-)

Music is a perfect mix is cool tunes with plenty of classic club tunes thrown in.
All clubs have there off days, but this one has been going for years and is still one of the best.

Cafe De Paris the place WHERE NOT TO BE!!!! Great place, amazing interior, kind and helpful staff, good music! However Door Staff- ZIRO or UNDER!!! It's amazing how people can put it upon themselfs to spoil someone elses night- once again referring to Door Staff! We have been to Cafe de Paris many times before and are already kind of used to being treated as if in Army!

I've never thought that being a Club Promoter can be such a great career path and can make someone feel so superior to others- God forrbid this Blondie at the door reaching any kind of Position in her life!!!

Further more to the Tall bloke with 'great English' whose job was only consistant of shouting at people and unerminding anyone who had even the slightest question to ask.

Since when is that a job of a security guy?!! If you can't talk to people dont work with people!! Mind you each time he would come across someone his own size the attitude would change instantly!!

By reading just a few reviews we realised that we certainly are not the only ones who received such humiliating treatment. Therefore I hope this matter is at least taken into consideration and even though I understand the complexity of their job their treatment is completely unacceptable and if the whole place is to lose it's reputation just because of Certain Few then let it be.Never going there again!!!!

Never have I been more humiliated in my life. Never in my years of nighlife, have I ever been refused entry and harrassed by all the bodyguards for no threatening reason whatsoever. I'm a 5 foot 4 South African weighing on 8 stone with no ambition to beat anyone 5 times my size. I was simply refused entry because I was speaking to the lady that accepted comps and all of a sudden this nasty version of Tom Jones starts fluffing his feathers, telling me I will never get in. I was then pushed by this other bodyguard, until finally a female version of security comes out and asks me what the problem was. She hears what I have to say, does nothing about it and just goes back in the club. So this is advice for anyone going to this club. What ever you have to say will prevent you from having a good time... So swallow up the harmless, opinionated person that you are, wait in the queue, don't smile, don't converse and make sure that the wannabe Tom Jones lets you in cause his tupe covers up what he really ain't got.....so he's gotta express is self-worth otherwise - by acting like an absolute p****.

Cafe de Paris is probably the least exclusive of the exclusive London clubs, but it's all the better for it! The music is a really good mix on both Fridays and Saturdays, the drinks are not as overpriced as other big West End clubs and the staff are lovely. It has gorgeous decor and a decent lounge area if you're feet get tired, but most of all it's got a good-sized dance floor that you probably won't want to leave! Also as it's generally £10 on a guestlist, you are getting a fairly up-market club at a very fair price. Probably my favourite club in London!

They also do regular stage shows with very sexy looking dancers. The prices are as you would expect from a west end venue. I agree that the door entry is strict, you have to make an effort. If you cant get in, them maybe you have to ask yourself why.

It gets packed and I found the music to be quite dated. The dj was not that good at mixing tunes or styles together. All in all I would class this as a if all else fails type club. Met a lot of very nice people there though.

Okay, this is for the people who ALWAYS critisize the night clubs. You dress up, go there, get bloody drunk and then all you remember next day is how bad was the staff. This is London West End, all the night clubs will have cons such as strict door policy and pricey drinks!!

Cafe De Paris is one of the best nightclubs I've ever been to! First of all, its massive ceiling makes such a good impression, design and decor is definitely brilliant! Second, I got in without any problems, no one even asked for my ID! Third, most importantly, the music was absolutely great. I love rnb music, and on that friday night there was plenty of hip-hop and rnb mixed jams which basically made my night on that venue.

You don't feel like at the basement of some building and claustrophobic about it (like in Pangaea, Movida and other posh but dark places).

I definitely will go next time (on friday) and maybe with reserved table. It is decent place to go on friday evening and have so much fun

After reading so many bad reviews I was a little sceptical about even attempting to get into this club but have top admit it wasn't too bad at all!

Admittedly the guy who let us in was a bit up his own arse and had this nasty habit at looking down his nose at you...coupled with lots of camp head tossing! But once in we had a pretty good night....the drinks were average prices for a london club and the music was a pretty good mix.

As we were leaving at the end of the night we were approached by a doorman who asked us if we wanted a taxi. He called one for us giving us time for one last drink in the bar then he escorted us to the taxi waiting outside the club.....pretty good service!

Well after the mixed reviews cafe has had i hope to shed some light on the place!
id say firstly its the door staff who let this venue down!
after making a table reservation with a group of friends for his birthday we got there to be told they wernt letting anyone in as they were full although the comb-overed italian looking head bouncer let every white female who wanted entry in, it was blatantly obvious they wernt letting any coloured race in!
which i find hilarious as a white looking female...me and my friend 2 weeks before walked straight in without even paying!
when and if you get inside yes its a good venue bar staff are really friendly drinks are of the norm price for the west end, the music mix is mainly chart funky house r'n'b they did play some cheese but im sure by then everyone was too gone to realise let alone hear what they were dancing to!
the vip toilets have an unusal pong to them and the main toilets upstairs are no better being sweaty overcrowded with a miserably rude attendant and a permanent fog of hairspray.
however get it on the right night (ive been both saturday and sundays) and its a wicked venue to be in, in vip your well catered for its defo worth booking a table direct.
its just obvious that on some days management clearly arnt doing their job!
im thinking this venue will have a refurb or even a good spring clean soon as their carpets are getting grotty and its starting to feel as a not such a great venue in comparison to funky budda pangea and paper.
Hit and miss venue really my tip to ask on the door what its like inside they give you advise!

Cafe de Paris, in the heart of the West End is definatley a decent venue - don't let the mixed reviews put you off. You just have to know what you're getting before you go - it's not going to be to everyone's tastes.

Firstly - the music on a Saturday night is a good mix between mainstream RnB and Funky House. You'll also find the odd old skool classic. Music wise this isn't the finest venue in London - but there's more to the place than that.

The place looks stunning and is the perfect backdrop for any glamourous evening. There's alot of talk about the staff being rude - personally I didn't find this to be the case at all. We had a table in the VIP area and I found all the staff to be really polite at all times. We even got extra free drinks. It's a two-way street you know - treat them with respect and they'll return the favour.

I think they've got a pretty good door policy going - it's not too harsh so that most mere mortals don't have a cat in hell's chance of getting in, but selective enough to ensure you get a decent crowd inside. Maybe the only thing letting this place down is the expensive prices behind the bar - but given it's in the heart of London I suppose it's to be expected.

There's alot to enjoy about Cafe de Paris and it's a great venue for those more prestigious evenings and events. But I would recommend you get yourself on the guestlist and also book a table to really enjoy yourself.

Among the chavviest tourist traps I have ever had the misfortune to encounter. Rude staff with chips on their shoulders are very, very far from the swish image the club tries to trade on. After 10 minutes in one of the 'VIP' side rooms a friend had hired for the evening it was evident to everyone in our party that the place was a sticky floored trap for misinformed Americans and naive students.

I can't imagine that anyone has ever gone there twice. Lucky for the club the name and the location seem enough to keep it in operation.

Went to Cafe de Paris last night with two girlfriends, had no intentions of actually going there but was stopped by a promoter outside who offered to get us in. Cut a long story short, five mintues later (and after jumping the guestlist) we were stamped and inside London's own Moulin Rouge. With hot bar men, decent priced drinks and good music it was one of the best nights i've ever had. So, a tip - if your hot like us, don't bother with the guestlist - a promoter will get you in. But only if your hot.

I went to Cafe de Paris once and met Lizo (from Newsround! It was a good night and a lovely club. It is very hard to get served though and there are long queues to the toilet. The interior is nicely designed and very elegant. The club is suited for older people like 25+ as there are not many young people. The drinks are very expernsive. The men there are obviously 'rich'. Overall it's a nice club for older people and not suitable for younger people.

I was taken to Cafe de Paris by some friends who had heard the Saturday night was good. I wasn't prepared for what happened. The music was amazing, a real mixture of styles. There was a great crowd (I'm sure there has to be a tough door policy for this to happen) and half way through the night when things were getting good the music stops and explosions go off! The place went mad! Forget the rest of the West End Cafe de Paris is hot!

Cafe de Paris must have been the worst club I have ever been to in my entire life! The people at the door - rude is not the word! I have never been spoken down to in my whole life! The staff are rude and incompetant as they gave us one less free entry pass which caused so much hassle. One guy accused me of lying, like I'm absolutely desperate to enter the damn place.

I think I only met one nice member of staff. The Cafe de Paris bar staff are nice, the dancers look like they belong in a porn film and the people! Oh my God, the place is full of people who think they are all that and go round flashing their £100 notes at the bar.

The place is full of nobodies. One guy picked up a huge chunk of ice and hit it in the air hitting me in the eye! Can you believe it. Him and his chavy girl mates then tried to gang up on me! No manners at all!

I have never been motivated to write a review about a club but I have to say that Cafe de Paris was the most pretentious and disappointing club I have been to. I went for a friend's birthday and found that the staff were rude and conceited and the door lady was the most uncharismatic woman I have ever met.

The dancers look like prostitutes. The music was very average (although the bongo drummer was good). The clientele were a mix of tarted up gold-digging girls, young blokes looking for an easy lay and sleazy old sugar daddies. Drinks were reasonably priced but good luck getting served if they realise you don't leave big tips.

Cafe de Paris seems to attract attention-seeking people who obsess over celebrities and I would not recommend it to anyone.

Yes, the doormen rival the Chinawhite lot (okay - they are worse. I've been every Saturday for four years and they still ID me, but they don't make me queue) but the Cafe de Paris is really amazing. The crowd is always very mixed. The only problem is it can get rather full especially on the balcony where the VIP tables are.

I always get a table at Cafe de Paris and the service is prompt and polite. The corseted girlies are great and even when I venture down to the pit for a couple of drinks the barmen are all very nice and very good looking. The prices are average for the London scene, and better than most places!

I visited Cafe de Paris just before Christmas for a staff Christmas Party and had the most wonderful time. The food was exquisite and the staff very friendy. There was a cabaret performance during the meal as well, which was wonderful. They really made our party special. I highly recommend Cafe de Paris, as we had a fabulous time.

Earlier that week I inquired as to what time we had to be in Cafe de Paris for New Years Eve and they replied that it was 1am. After watching the fireworks we arrived at 12:15. First the (wannabe) manager said we were late. Then I showed him my confirmation email. Then he showed us a list and checked if our names were on it, which they weren't, but it could have been a list from 10 weeks ago.

We were really disappointed about the money we lost. The attitude of the doorman/manager really made us sick. This is not normal and I won't recommend Cafe de Paris to anyone.

The Cafe de Paris doormen were so rude that they didn't even give us a chance to even put our request to them. They are so stuck up and damn rude. There is no need as manners don't cost anything. Eventually, we got in with some really friendly people who obviously were regulars.

They moan about the guestlist rules but clearly let other people in. I won't go again in a hurry. But you definitely could end up seeing a celebrity or too if you go. Cafe de Paris - change the doorstaff and your reviews will go up.

Cafe de Paris sounded like an alright place to go, so I went with my mate for her birthday. We got in as we knew a PR for the night and he gave us VIP badges. Once inside they played funky house all night, which did my head in.

We headed to the Cafe de Paris RnB room which was smaller than my bedroom. The music in there was good which was a bonus, but the drinks were extortionately priced.

I would give Cafe de Paris zero if that was an option. I went on a Friday night to hear the RnB, hip hop and raga, but they hardly played any. Every member of staff was incredibly rude and furthermore, when I ordered a vodka and red bull, I got about half a can of red bull in it and they charged me around £10.00!

When I asked if I could have the other half, the barman told me it would cost me another £3.00, making it £13.00 for one drink. It was absolutely disgraceful and I would like to see the manager of this Cafe de Paris and ask them about it.

Despite reading time and time again about the poor door staff at Cafe de Paris I was willing to give it a try as it used to be good a few years ago. However, the rumours are true! The door staff are just rude and not interested in hearing about guestlists.

This is a tip to anyone over 25: stick to Islington, Hoxton, etc. and leave the Soho scene to kids that allow themselves to be treated like idiots buy the uneducated people on the door. I have learnt my lesson from Cafe de Paris.

I went to Cafe de Paris on August 19th. I'm from Canada ok, and clubs here don't look anything like what I saw at Cafe de Paris. Most beautiful club I've seen, amazing DJ, nice culturally diverse crowd. And the tall Irish barman in the blue bar was H-O-T!

I fell in love, I'm still in love actually. I went to London by myself and I happened to be in front of Cafe de Paris at the right moment and it just treated me to probably the best night of summer 06.

I had a brilliant night out at Cafe de Paris. We went on a Friday night, and it was packed as soon as we got there. As we were all ladies and we made it just before 11, we got in free which was great, although the guy at the door was a right arse.

Cafe de Paris had fab music - mainly RnB and a great crowd. But some people were quite arrogant. There was also Persian and Middle Eastern music playing in the VIP room which was open to everyone. It was kind of dead in there, but was nice for a breather and a change of tunes.

Word of advice - get on a guestlist!

I went here with my friends for a 21st birthday. It started with a queue for the guest list, then we were not allowed in as someone had a t-shirt on. They then let certain people jump the guest list queue to get in, wearing a vest top and a plain jumper, extremely casual. When we tried to dispute this none of us were allowed in. Café de Paris is naff. I would never attempt to get in here again, the doormen clearly don’t have any experience and don’t understand how it works. They are so jumped up because of their title they assume they can treat anyone like shit.

We went along to the Café de Paris on Saturday to celebrate my forthcoming wedding. What a mistake. The meal we ordered proved to be, at best, mediocre, for £60.00 a head. At the end of the meal the 12.5% tip was automatically added to our bill, and the waitress became very moody about our decision not to pay her a further tip.

Last Saturday I went to Café de Paris. I have never been to a restaurant with more unfriendly staff. The place was practically empty except for one other group. Staff told us that they were a "posh, exclusive" restaurant, and I wondered why they felt the need to say it. Every few minutes someone would come and officiously announce new rules of the house. Considering we were the quietest table in the restaurant, this was ridiculous.

The cocktails had hardly any alcohol in, they were all ice. The food was slow to come. My starter arrived half an hour later than all other starters at our table, causing everyone to wait and let theirs go cold. The waitress had forgotten all about my order, as she apologetically told me. The main course was poorly seasoned and bland. The desert of chocolate fondant saved the night from being a completely unpleasant experience.

With such poor service we still paid over 12.5% surcharge, but the waitress pointedly asked for gratuity. Big thumbs down to the staff in Café de Paris. At £60.00 a head it was a total and utter rip off.

I seriously hate the doormen and women at Café de Paris. They are extremely up themselves and told us the guest list didn’t exist. They don’t have any manners, they think they are too good for normal people and the women in charge are even worse. Guest lists have zero value at Café de Paris.

I ruined part of my birthday because of them. If you want to waste your time and spoil your day, do go there.

Café de Paris is the pits! It appears to wallow in the pretentiousness of having a guest list to allow you entry but once you're inside (minus about £15.00) you wonder what the fuss is all about.

OK, the decor is nice, original and sumptuous but wall-to-wall people crammed together sardine-like in one big bump n grind session is not my ideal evening out at a so-called quality establishment. The music was forgettable RnB, booze prices are normal for this part of town but the bar is always jam-packed, as is the dance floor.

Too many young people at Café de Paris, if you're over 21, avoid.

I went to Cafe de Paris last night and I think it was great. The decor is really nice and it reminds me a lot of Granada 10 in Granada, Spain. We spent most of the night in the Blue Bar. The bar keepers there were so lovely. My friend made a complete fool of herself after one drink too many but they were fine with it.

I would love to give it 5 stars but for that the doorman was just too rude.
So one goes to the nice barmen, one to the absolutely amazing and so helpful girl in the toilet, one for the decor and one for the music which was good most of the night.

Drinks are expensive, but I guess they are a normal price for a West End club.
All in all a good experience.

The second time around, I learned that the promoter is full of himself and thinks all women are after him. Er, no thanks...I'm not into pretentious people, but if you like highflyers then Cafe de Paris is your place.

I decided to wander into Cafe de Paris on my birthday and I just walked straight in, thought it was exclusive? It was horrible, I think they had let too many people in because the dancefloor was so jammed and I couldn't get to the bar all night. Cafe de Paris was full of dirty old old men perving over my friends, which was nice. Oh, and one of the staff cam running towards us, tripped over our table and knocked my friends, just bought, £10 drink all over her new dress and he didn't even apologise. Don't bother going to Cafe de Paris!

Well, well, well...t'was the Friday night before Christmas, me and my mate had a few places to go but we scrapped all of them to go to Cafe de Paris as we had never been and it is so hyped up.

It was one of the worst nights I have had in a long time, the music was absolute crap. I can't stand house music and I was informed they would be playing a bit of everything! After an hour of yawning someone from Cafe de Paris came and gave us wrist bands to gain access to the VIP lounge which he said played more urban music.

Well, we went into the dingey little room with low ceilings and a DJ who should find a different profession. The DJ was poor, didn't have a clue about mixing and blending and was only playing the intros of each song.

I would not go to Cafe de Paris again even if it was free. The club has nice decor but that's about it.

Ha ha! Well, some things never change! It was 1999 the last time the bouncers refused me entry to Cafe de Paris!

It was my birthday on Saturday 14th January 2006, but you didn't think I was silly enough to try and have it here? Oh no! We were going to Fabric! However, we got a guest list to Cafe de Paris for a joke and queued exactly like we did six years ago although it was only a short queue.

Pow! A guy dressed like Morpheus from The Matrix came up to us and told us we weren't smart enough. This was the same thing they said five years ago! We were all wearing shoes, suits, trousers etc.

Who said lightning never strikes twice? Don't be silly enough to waste a night at Cafe de Paris!

I went to Cafe de Paris for a friend's birthday and we were all on the guest list but the idiot on the door took a disliking to us and refused us entry even though we were on the list and the birthday boy was with us.

The worst thing was that we already had guests inside Cafe de Paris that had travelled from afar for a rare evening out in London.

Cafe de Paris is a highly pretentious place and maybe we didn't get in because they didn't like our shoes - I don't know but I will never ever return to beg the idiot on the door to let us spend our money in there -it's a joke!

If it was because he thought we didn't have a lot of money to spend he was mistaken. The majority of the party were investment bankers and have a lot of class unlike the two ladies they let in who looked downmarket. If that's the clientele they attract then it probably wasn't for us anyway!

I had an awful experience at Cafe de Paris. I love London and love London clubs, but I was so incredibly disappointed by this place. Granted, the decor was fabulous, but the venue itself is tiny.

There was no room to dance and it took far too long to get to any bar. I found that all the staff, from the doormen to the bar staff and DJ were rude, which added to Cafe de Paris having such an unwelcoming atmosphere.

There was nothing about Cafe de Paris that I liked. We ended up going to a club very close by after a couple of hours, where we were greeted by hospitable staff at a spacious venue that was full of friendly people who actually had room to dance! Cafe de Paris is far too up itself. I cannot stress enough how much of an anti-climax that place is!

I went to Cafe de Paris last Saturday and all I can say is 'wow, what a great venue!' It is so stylish and is full of London's beautiful people! The only problem with Cafe de Paris is that the dance floor gets so packed and if you are in the VIP area, be prepared to stand the whole night as there are hardly any seats available. The drinks are expensive but the music is good and got the whole place pumping- really worth it despite the drawbacks because it truly is a wicked night!

I went to Cafe de Paris on a Friday night and had a blast but you have to be on a guest list to get in though. Drinks were a bit pricey but large so it made up for it. The dance floor was packed but not over crowded and the DJ played mostly RnB. Cafe De Paris was full of good looking people for the most part and the crowd was aged between 23-30. The decor at Cafe De Paris was beautiful, there was a great atmosphere, it's easy to get a drink and overall we had an awesome, awesome time!

Bottles of champagne, wine, shots and all sorts of drinks were bought for us and we even met a few celebrities. We had a laugh and went back the next Saturday night. This time we met some cute bouncers and danced the night away. If anyone asks me what Cafe de Paris is like I always say that it is the hottest club. Nice room with beds if you buy bottles and the bar staff are great. The club is nice but a bit cheesy, however the music policy is awful. Pop and commercial RnB from about 3 years ago. Big disappointment but still worth a visit if you're up for some fun.

Went to Cafe De Paris on a recent Friday night. Had no trouble getting in as nice pr took us to a place where we could get cheaper entry and once at the door were immediately let in with V.I.P entry.
There is no denying that the place is beatifully decorated albeit slightly on the small side, however this is where the compliments stop.

The club was filled with older businessmen leering over young girls giving the club a sleazy feel. The crowd was of the older variety, the music was not up to much and the atmosphere was lifeless and to top off a bad night the DJ pretended we were not there when we tried to request a decent song.

Come 1am we had all had enough so swiftly moved to Pangea where a good night was had by all.

Gorgeous, sumptuous, utterly fabulous decor - what a beautiful space! That is what the 3 stars are for. It doesn't get the remaining 2 stars because of a lack of atmosphere and the bar b*tch that tried to start a fight with me when I complimented her on the top she was wearing. Worth noting that I am a fellow girl simply admiring her fashion sense, not a leering sleazy guy trying it on. She had massive attitude and ruined my whole experience of the night. PS: The people that were there on the Friday night I went were not that beautiful, just hostile.

This venue has to be unique in itself. It is the only place I know that you can be surrounded in 30s decor transforming you back to the good old days of cigar-filled late night bars while experiencing modern light shows and a good mix of music. I've heard the VIP room is celeb filled but I've never managed to get in. The prices are high but definitely worth the value.
