I agree with most of the reviewers that this place is a "Ghetto-Fab".The DJ's are definitely good, which means good music too. This place is for the under 24s and mainly students. You will feel very old if you are over 24.It's definitely NOT a classy venue.Dance floor is too small and too dark for my liking.Service at the bar is rather poor.

They don't make you feel any good about yourself even if you spend £100 on 2 bottles of champagne.Worst of all (like some1 else mentioned) are the very rude security guys. These guys feel soo empowered with flash lights and walkie-talkie, that they don't even know how to talk to people politely.

I was there last Saturday wearing a smart jeans, smart shoes, a tucked-in collared shirt and a blazer. After getting through the security at the front, paid downstairs and about enter the main area, another security came up to me and insisted that I must leave my BLAZER in the cloak room!

And he very rude about it too.I got in at about 1am and left about 1 hr later.I used to go Cameos quite often about 5yrs ago and it was nice (so i thought), until I started going other nicer and classy venues then I realised how bad this club is. Perhaps its because I was 21 5yrs ago. I only went there this time cos I was invited by someone celebrating her birthday.

cameos is a good place to go for a night out or birthday party.

a lot of people like you don't seem to understand that the security are there to protect you not to argue or waste time with people who have complexes with 'authority'.

did you ever take a moment to speak to these 'power hungry' individuals?

cos i have, without the threat of being shot by any passing hooligan at any time or being attacked or puked on by some drunk individual to becoming a medic when someone is ill or cuts themselves, these people have a lot to deal with your lack of manners will be one of many incidents for that night for them.

it is very easy to say 'well they should be professional', but ask yourself this. could you do what these people do? REALLY? cos i couldn't, and i thank them for all the good times I've had, cos if they aren't there; the party cant happen safely.

I went to Cameo on Saturday night and I couldn't believe how entertaing DJs were. DJs crews kept changing and all kept crowd on high until 5 in the morning. I recognised some Choice FM DJs and 90% but some I didn't know. Choice's FM Live Linq and Steve Clark were fantastic, much better than on radio. Ravers don't stop dancing. I came home drenched and could't wake up next day. I was also suprised how smart dressed ravers were particularly girls which outnumbered boys 2:1. I asked to become a member and now I can come any Saturday for a fiver before 11.30PM. This is a fabulous place and I kick myself for wasting my time and money chaseing different raves every weekend without realy knowing what to expect. I can't wait for next Saturday.

Been to Cameos enough times. Drinks are relatively cheap. no hoods or trainers, smart dress. Best thing abt Cameos is the music - mainly rnb, hip hop, bashment & reggae. open til 4am which is the best time 2 leave. dont arrive until after 11pm cos thats when it gets good. Once it gets into swing, it gets a bit mad so be prepared 4 the Madness in there - lots of grindin & windin. Only problem is i keep seeing the same ppl, same faces and same songs so im gtn a bit bored of it nw. Oh and how hot it gets - u'll go in with straight hair & leave wit an afro!

Cameos is pretty ghetto fabulous. It is definitely a clubbers club. You have to know how to do all the latest hip hop and bashment moves. I was there about a month ago and have been wanting to go back. The music was really good, the MC was able to get the whole crowd to do the same moves to Yung Joc and eventually the electric slide.

The crowd is excellent but very ghetto-fied. However they are the type of people who create the environment as opposed to letting the environment create them.

I haven't been to Cameo's in about a year and a half because it was going downhill and it was like they let anyone and everyone in.

So when I ventured there last Saturday I was pleasantly surprised. The music was a good mix of slow jams, RnB, Hip-Hop and of course, Bashment. The crowd was mostly well-dressed and the drinks were cheap!

If you're a bashment lover through and through I'd most definitely recommend Cameo's, especially Wednesdays where they play mostly and sometimes only bashment. It's pure madness! You can get there early but Cameo's doesn't start to kick till about 2am.

When I went to Cameo's for a friend's birthday I really enjoyed it. The music and the atmosphere was good. Cameo's was a little expensive because we went after midnight but overall a good night out. Wouldn''t recommend it on the regular but every now and again, why not?
ps b warned quite a few somalians.

Wednesday at Cameo's is a wicked night out but if you want to go on the weekend, don't bother, Cameo's a waste of time.
