I've been to the Crazy Bear member's club a few of times with my work colleague who is a member and have had a great time most visits.

Since January they have really taken the club onto a whole new level and the front of house team especially, are excellent in regards to customer service. It's what I'd expect from a member's club that, should strive to provide top level standards in the hospitality industry.

The menu is fairly priced and well explained so it's easy to select dishes to pick at as well as the usual substantial main course fair. I'd definitely recommend the black cod & sashimi sushi selection for the fish lovers like myself.

The drinks list is expansive but fairly priced and the bar team also make personal favourite drinks off menu, which is great. The decor is nothing short of amazing. It's like stepping out of the gritty London tourist hub that is Covent Garden into a 70's style boudoir.

I must admit If you come on a one off it's a little difficult to muster what all the fuss is about. I'd been on a couple of occasions last year where i've been left a little disappointed by the attitude of the wait staff, but they seem to constantly change and the standard is getting better in that respect.

Persons with some sort of outrageous expectations for facilities will be probably be disappointed there isn't a swimming pool or bowling alley.

But, for the more discerning lady/gent it's the perfect place to grab good food, listen to decent music (not the usual "lounge" fodder) and have a quality tipple without the rawkus atmosphere of a pub, chain restaurant or night club.

I'm going again this weekend and can't wait...

Top marks!

Why aren't there more venues like this one in London? From the moment we walked in we were greeted by very friendly staff. Great buzz with the live pianist and cocktails were just mind blowing. Second visit was even better (best dim sum in town) and I am now a proud member. I am reading the comments below and I don't get it at all. Some people just don't get places like these. I am glad your membership only lasted for 24h :-) top score from me and see you soon for the Martini master class. Cant wait! -

The headline is: Not worth paying for the membership feei went there as a 24 hour member to see what it is like before paying nearly £500 for annual membership. I was so disappointed with the service that I wrote to them. Consistent with any other poor service restaurants, no one bother to address my complaints. Highlight of complaints:1. hospitalitywhen I arrived, I was shown to my table which was an end table with three stools at an awkward position next to a pillar. What I struggled to understand more was that there were only 4 tables, or 7 people including me, why would your staff choose to seat me at that ‘end table’? What a decent restaurant would do is to offer me a more comfortable seating and made me aware that I might have to relocate should that seating be needed.2. service/drinks at the Loungei was even more aggravated that after more than ten minutes of being seated, no one had come to take my drink order. There were only 4 tables, or 7 people including me, in the lounge. In the end, other members at the Lounge help me fetch the attention of the waitress.3. dinner/ Foodthis is once again, a confused and disorganised experience. There were only 2 occupied tables at the restaurants but we're booked for 20.30pm. Not sure why? Maybe more time to spend money at the bar. Half way through the meal, we requested to cancel our last two dishes/ main as we had order too much food. The waitress told us that it was impossible as the chef had already prepared the food. I could understand the inconvenience caused. However, had your waiting staff proactively told us the portion size, we would not taken into consideration of that when placing order. Given that your waitress did not do this, we should not been refused to cancel our order. Lastly, my complaints to them was not addressed at all. I think this is the part that pissed me off the most!

This a beautiful club, the privacy means you don't get the RIF RAF of the normal central London venue and though it is strictly a members club there is none of the usual hyper-tension involved as the entry is very tactfully arranged.

The food was exquisite and the cocktails to match, the staff were friendly, all in all it was the best night I've had out in London in years 5/5 all round.
