I’m sorry, but I don’t know what everyone is on about! I went with a group of friends for the first time, 7 guys in total and not a single lady. None of us had been there before. We booked a table beforehand and were a bit nervous after reading all the reviews. To our surprise, we found the staff at the door to be polite as they let us through with hardly any problems. (They gave us a bit of grief, but that was expected since we were 7 guys.) We didn’t queue for more than 2 minutes before being ushered to our table by a beautiful lady and handed drink menus. The table was amazing and everything was prepared before hand.
They had all the bottles we needed and they didn’t try to throw us off with the more expansive options. Every ten or twenty minutes they brought fresh glasses, cleaned the table and brought ice when needed. The club wasn’t as packed as I would like it to be, but after 2 AM the place had people bouncing of the wall.
I had an amazing time and will defiantly come back again and again. The best thing about this place was that is had a lot of space to move around and dance about, and the bathrooms weren’t crowded. Only minus, the DJ could have been better. A piece of advice for anyone who wants to go to this club, if your not a usual around high-end London member nightclubs or just don’t want to pay the 700, 800 or even 1000+ pounds for a table, then you shouldn’t bother yourself with these places.
Remember to always be polite to the bouncers, and if they do you a favor, then tip them properly. P.S. I have never seen this many beautiful “normal” girls in any other club I’ve been too.
Went on a Thursday night for a friend's event and had a great evening even though the drinks were extortionately priced. It all changed around midnight when people started to leave because they had work the next morning.
The cloakroom had lost a huge number of people's belongings. I waited for over an hour and I'd estimate that there were 100 people in the queue (the club's capacity is 400) and from listening to the people in front, at least 1 in 3 people had something missing – a scarf, a blazer, a coat and even handbags...
The cloakroom is next to the entrance and the toilets, so as a queue built up there were people pushing to move in all directions. It became an extremely scary crush and the club lost control. After 30 mins of people getting shoved everywhere and the men linking arms to protect the girls etc. they eventually sent in the bouncers.
These skinhead geniuses decided that the best way to clear things up was to confine people to an EVEN MORE confined area. People wouldn't give up though. I went and called the Police because the crush was dangerous and things were getting out of control. Then I gave up on my belongings and went home in the freezing cold and without the warm clothes which had been lost by the cloakroom.
Today my girlfriend went back to the club to look for my belongings because she works nearby. The cloakroom had THREE crates of clothing left by people that Thursday night! Sickening. In conclusion:- Nice but overpriced club- Club had no control of the crowd- stupid bouncers- DO NOT GO TO CRYSTAL
Never never again! It took over an hour to get my coat, being pushed around by the bouncers and others guests - absolute chaos and a total shambles. One top of that, bouncers had a serious attitude problem, I have never been spoken to so rudely in my life - when questioned by the bouncer "who the f*** do you think you are" my only reply had to be "a paying guest". I will NEVER go here again.
This is the most ridiculous club i've ever had the misfortune to go to: 1. we had two tables, and ordered some £160 bottles of vodka... what a surprise they were out of stock and only had the £400 bottle. 3. then the only mixers were orange juice or insanely watered down cranberry juice, so after paying £400 for vodka they then wanted to charge £25 for some lemonade????? and to top things off, you could only order the £80 bottle of wine at the table not the £30 bottle even though we wanted 3 bottles and had already paid over £1000 for both tables. music was ok, but all this killed the atmosphere. There are FAR better places to go in london with better music, better atmosphere and better staff - dont mind paying for quality service, but this was pathetic. This club will be closing soon because they have no idea how to treat people. DO NOT BOTHER WITH THIS AMATEUR CLUB - AVOID AT ALL COSTS
Avoid it! The door staff were fairly rude especially the lady with the list. It's as though she wanted us to worship her! Got in eventually on some guestlist, we had to wait for the guy to get to the club 1st. The music was okay, the drinks are nice but quite pricey. I rather go some where younger as I felt a lot of the men there were really old (i'm in my early 20s) next time i'll stick to Studio Valbonne and Movida.
I wish it was possible to give a MINUS review - because this place deserves it. Avoid Chrysal this club absolouty sucks!
Bar staff are so rude!
Went there last night for a few after work drinks and was so diserpoitned by the place and people.
Don't waste your time going there
DON'T GO... this club is rubbish.... 3 star??? Never, more like 1 star. I went to Crystal on a Wednesday night with 3 girls and it was such a let down .... the bar staff are soooo rude it was unbelievable and we went to complain at the manager and he was not even bothered! he made out that we were lying to him. i wouldn't advise going to this bar unless you want to wait for half hour to get served.
I went there on last friday and thouroughly enjoyed it, dont know what you are on about. The crowd was good, the music was good, didnt really have much to do with the door staff and I saw Leona Lewis. Would definitely go again.
After reading the bad reviews, I was sceptic about the club, but it turned out to be a great night out.

West Hampstead
This club has not got anything special to offer besides silly girls looking for money and stuck up guys. Oh, I forgot the stupid security guards. The worst bouncers ever!
Abolutly fantastic venue, I have been here week in week out for the past 3 or 4 weeks and it is one of the best clubs in London at the moment. The decor and crystals hanging from the ceiling are amazing and the mini dance stages which glow and change colour are definitly a photo opportunity! The atmosphere is electric most nights!
The doorstaff are very friendly and are always helpful and accomodating, the toilet lady is especially friendly!! The crowd in there (with one or two exceptions) is very easy going, attractive and normal, no one looks down on anyone else which is very rare in the West End.
I would definitly recommend this club, although the music can be a bit dodgy at times.
After having guest list confirmed by Francesca on the door and turning up at the door around 12am on a Friday night. Two guys (myself and my work colleague) were refused entry. What was insulting is the girl said our names weren't on the list when she didn't even look at the guest list in front of her. I showed her the confirmation email on my iPhone and she didn't even look at it.
Both my colleague and I, were dressed in suits and ready to spend a lot of money in Crystal. After speaking to a few people who have had similar experiences they all said that if you weren't a certain type i.e. middle class & white then you didn't have a chance of getting in.
Clubs like this shouldn't be in business, ruined a great night. Stay well clear. The cab driver on the way home told me that we weren't the first person that had been refused entry for no reason whatsoever and said the club has lost its edge and was going downhill.
What a shame - some club owners don't have the basic understanding to hire good door staff.
My cousin was in town from abroad & we thought we'd go to a cool, hip club on Sat night so Crystal popped into mind. Managed to get on the guest list okay but was asked twice if the crowd was mixed: guys & girls. (& yes we were 3 girls & 2 guys)
We were told to get there early & we did at 11pm & the place was empty... there was a group of old-ish voluptuous ladies celebrating a hen party, going wild, dancing everywhere (not a great sight!). Lots of house music & wanna-be models & female socialites came in for another hr or so until the warm up DJ finished his set & another DJ came on. He played a good mix of house, incorporated some R&B tunes & even a few arabic songs. The crowd was semi-happening. Predominantly rich men in their 30's, 40's & 50's with girls trying to get their attention - gold diggers as they say. The staff behind the bar were rude but I wasn't surprised because I had been warned.
The toilets were cool... marble & the lady attending the Ladie's toilets was very welcoming - ironically enough!
As a whole, I probably wouldn't go there again. It just seemed too pretentious & not great value for money (their rose wine was crap!). Even though the music was alright, I am sure you can getter better music elsewhere. It's just one of those places that you go once to try out & never go back.
Friends bday, got in without too much trouble as was on the guestlist... But £20 to get aint cheap. Music was a bit crap - DJ was band, i would have done a better job but people aren't there for the music. Infact if im gona be honest I got absolutely battered, pulled a couple of girls and was ona rampage with my to mates who never go to these pretentious west end venues. I got done for going in the VIP area, wasnt really allowed around the tables because we didnt reserve it so my only option was to rave on a colourful thin stage thing by the bar. It was wikid... only thing is bouncer kept tellin me it was for girls only... but thats why i was on there u no? so ravin with these girls... then bouncer grabs my arm and tells me I gota go... gutted.
In summery - the girls are easy - quite decent looking aswell - but you need to have a £100 reserve to hit it hard htere so not somewhere to go regularly. Will go back one day but not my favourite place. I think everyone should go brighton - checkout a club called PoNaNa.. its badass...
This club has the rudest and most obnoxious staff I have ever experienced. The way they treat anyone who is not a Z-list celebrity is utterly appalling. Their attitude totally ruins the club and I expect it will be their downfall. The decor was okay, the music was fine but my night out was ruined by the way my friends and I were treated there. After having spent an absolute fortune on champagne and cocktails plus entrance fee, you would think that the least they could do would be willing to help me when someone took my card. Instead I was insulted by 5 different women who were working there, who for some reason believe themselves to be better than everyone else. Credit to them, they must have a pretty strong self-belief to be able to do that whilst looking like a personification of Euro-trash in ill fitting clothes, orange faces and coco the clown style make up. I really hope they get rid of some of their staff, or I fear that there will be no hope for this place
Crystal...
If you dont want to queue, go before 11.
Bouncers are o.k. They are bouncers afterall.
There are 1 asian guy and 1 blond ex-model who take care of the guest lists.
If you smile to the guy, he might let you in.
To that bitch...you just have to be on the list.
Once inside,
full of bitches - Paris Hilton wannabes, full of perverts - P.Diddy wannabes.
There's 1 dj who get disturbed by one of the manager every single time.
Music, not too bad if you like house.
Decor- honestly, they could do better. Apparently they spent dont know how much but it does look quite cheap however with the lighting it is quite pretty.
Tables...nothing amazing, bit stiky though.
Very small, and always packed.
Drink-expensive, but this is london club.
Average age for women is 24~40.
For men, 28~60?
Girls always look for men with table and champaign (when theres Starwars or rocky song, look at how girls look at where the cahmpaigns go. So they can do their pretty me thing later on), so if you are staying outside of the table area...not sure if you can talk to any girl.
Staffs look tired and they are always too busy to ask for anything.
Despite of what I said above, I used to enjoy this club for a while and spent quite lots of money, but honestly...it gets boring.
Went to Crystal last night on a work do (in my work clothes) and had a really good night, felt that i could let my hair down and have a laugh. I heard the club has alot of rich people go there so thought id feel uncomfortable not dressed up but i didnt feel out of place one bit everyone was really friendly that i spoke to. I thought the staff were friendly, the bouncers were a bit rude but then aren't they all!!! Yes the music was a bit cheesy not that i was listening to it much as i was having fun. Id def go again. Maybe you lot are not used to going to clubs up london maybe head to your local boozer and get your cheap drinks from there! every where up london are the same prices - think people need a salary increase - and no i am not rich -nor do i get men to buy my drinks.
this club is absouloutley shit it looks like a dentist and before hombres de bahia m adad owned that club nd if your listening you have the liberties to by that club from my dad. ALRITE I WILL come to your club from time to time and you better be aware of me.
Appaulled with an Hour and a Half wait outside as the doorstaff struggled to cope with the beautiful people that lined Wells Street, all seemingly important enough to attempt to jump the cue creating an atmosphere more suitable for Half price Primark closing down sale. I eventually had to join the masses as that was the only way to get near the door. Finally arriving after being pushed and shoved by bouncers I was disgusted by the lack of manners and common courtesy from all the staff. Once inside the club, however, the tension eased as the ceiling filled with flashing lights entranced the dancefloor. I say dancefloor but its actually space you manage to find around the small, very dirty £500-3000 tables. For such an 'exclusive' club I cringed at the sight of people dancing on the tables, spilling alcohol absolutely everywhere. A young girl collapsed on the floor and nobody noticed. I decided to head to the bathrooms, which were surprisingly pleasant... minus the three girls I witnessed throwing up in the sink.
The music was not too bad. They played chart hits and mostly dance music, but it was loud and intimidating enough to make you move. The aesthetics of the room varied from old rich men being seduced by young models looking for a sugar daddy, to young male-model-looking rich kids with more money than sense. Being a rich kid myself, I thought I'd find a place with these people but their tacky behaviour was off-putting to say the least. The most excitement you'll get is ordering a bottle of champagne. They cut the music, light sparklers and barstaff steamroll through the crowds of people to the delivery destination whilst playing the theme from Star Wars. A good way of encouraging spending I must admit, I ordered 4. All in all its a good place to spend a lot of money to get trampled on, hear average chart music and witness people pretending to be 'somebody'. Just ask the Johnny Depp Lookalike. He's a regular.
Full of pretentious, rude and arrogant people, they looked good, but at the end of the day lycra is still lycra no matter how much you pay for it. The DJ was terrible, played mainstream chart music badly mixed, he played some pumping beats then dropped you like a hot potato to literally 10 seconds of silence before playing somene quite sedate, an unpleasant rollercoaster of dance. I asked for a scotch and the barman poured JD (bourbon), I would have thought at the prices they charge the staff would know their drinks a bit better. On the plus side the decor's alright and the toilets were always stocked with loo roll, which helped as I took several trips there to try to get away from the dire atmosphere. I'm glad we didn't pay the extortionate price for a table.
this club went really down??? i use to go there since the opening it use to be amazing not anymore. you feel that everybody wanna take money from you.
We had a table their and the door man ask us to give him extra money to go in ??? weird yeh what a shame
Wnt to crytal last night ,,had an awsome time beautiful people ,,,,,drinksare very expensive but the show that i put on and tmusic that is pldisawsoe also alot of good loking girs and gorgeos men ,,,,after reading the review sayig this plac a gne down he drain i would say you are an ugly person who never gets any women as so you hated the place ,,,yes is pretentious yes women are looking for guys that can spoil you but hey if you are going out and want great women and you only have 20 quid to spend dont go Crystal ,,,,go to camden palace or go ministry of sound with all the commoners.....
If you are succesfull an look good go crystal ,,,,Simple as that lol down the drin hehe its awsome there
Crystal has gone down the drain abit sadly, it can be good if you're up for a genuine "get hammered and golddiggers" night, order in stupendous amounts of expensive champagne and go crazy. But since the beginning-of-the-year launch, they haven't really succeeded in maintaining its exclusivity. Shame, since the venue is cool and drinks are not crazily expensive.
The most strangest club I've ever been to. Not the glamerous, cool club that the reviews implied. The decor was cheap and tacky and so was the clientele. I can honestly say its the worst club I've ever been to! If you're looking for the 'cool London scene' don't go here. If you're looking for old geeza with young totty, then you're spot on. People were not friendly at all.
Went to the Crystal Club on a Thursday, what a great club. The music, energy from the crowd and the decor was fantastic! There are a few desperate men and girls in the toilets spraying there hair like they were getting ready for a photo shoot but apart from these few individuals it is a club I will definitely go to again.
Just wanted to tell you that we used to go to the Crystal Club in 1987/1988 when it was Hombres and had the time of our lives every week. We normally went Monday or Wednesday or Thurs nights when the drinks were even cheaper. We were the Mount Royal Hotel lot and knew a lot of Italians there. Just wanted to tell you all it was a brilliant place, good DJ and would love to see how it is now. We're probably too old now to get in though!
I have been on the clubbing scene for over 10 years and I can say hand on heart Crystal is the best club I have been to in a long time. Forget Tramps, cant stand the place, full of hos looking for rich old men, and over dressed not very good looking too-much-money idiots. But Crystal has excellent music, great looking crowd and the atmosphere is second to none.
Crystal is a brilliant club! I just got back from London after spending 2 weeks exploring the city's night life. I went to lots of awesome venues, but nothing beat Crystal. I loved the music, the energy, the environment, the crowd, and after 7 nights out at Crystal, I was a regular!
I'm coming back Crystal! My girlfriends are flying to NYC/Miami from London for the opening of Crystal when that happens. That's how much it rocks! Take it from the International Party Girls ;-P
Crystal Club is a first class club! It took some blagging to get in, but once we entered I was instantly impressed. I don't think I have heard such a good set in a London club ever! And the fact that the DJ was an absolute fitty helps! I love the fact that there's no VIP room, as it means everyone is equal and it creates a good vibe. The decor is amazing as the ceiling changes colour constantly!
But, I had to wait about 25 minutes to hang my coat up, which was a bit of a downer. I got the feeling that if you didn't have a table or know someone with a table then you're pretty screwed. There's no dance floor, so you end up near the edge on the paths which is annoying. All in all, Crystal Club was an excellent night!
Crystal Club is definitely a place that wants to count itself as an alternative to the finer Cote d'Azur hangouts. In fact, its open-plan design very much reminds one of Le Baoli in Cannes. The Crystal Club crowd is slightly hyper at weekends, but if you just take it with a pinch of salt and pick up some hot chicks you'll enjoy yourself thoroughly.
Whether it's worth getting on the champagne caravan is another question, but getting a few bottles of Grey Goose never hurts....
Find a short, fat, rich guy with pockets the size of a small country and go here! You will have great fun, but while you're at it don't stop. Visit it's older sister the notorious Crystal of Beirut in Lebanon. The original and still the best, and have an even more enchanting evening...
Crystal Club is the best club in London. It is a mix of Monaco St Tropez and Miami atmosphere. If you're rich or beautiful Crystal Club will be paradise! It is the new jet set club.
Crystal Club was very cool, with great lighting, a great crowd and good music. I am definitely going back to Crystal Club, I just need to find a rich boyfriend to take me!
Finally a club in London with the class of St Tropez, the crowd of New York and the music of Ibiza. Clubbing in London at Crysral Club is finally fun again.
I was really disappointed with the service at Crystal Club. I had to wait 55 minutes outside. They are not organised at all! We booked a table and we spent a fortune but they could not distinguish outside who was on the guest list, who were the members, or those had booked a table.
When we got inside the club it was not full at all! While I was waiting, there were so many people who were on the guest list and were refused entry. They made a big buzz about this club, and I am so disappointed. I will definitely not spend a Saturday night in this Crystal Club again.
I went to Crystal Club last week and had an absolutely fabulous time. It is on a par with St Tropez's VIP Room and La Cave and South Beach's Prive. Dancing high above the seats puts the beautiful people where they want to be!
The DJ was spot on with tunes that made it impossible to sit down, and finally here is a club that really thought about the loos for once. There were no queues at the Crystal Club ladies - amazing!
Crystal Club is an amazing venue. The most beautiful crowd in London. Tramps better beware. The club was super busy when I went and the service was a bit slow but that's as to be expected. The music and lighting are out of this world and the DJ spun the best mix I have ever heard in a night club worldwide. Well done to Crystal Club.
