Saw a band called, Substatic last night at The Dublin Castle. Bloody amazing! Best band of the night by a long shot. Can't believe they're unsigned. Hope they come back to London soon.
Im over here from the States and i have been going to the Dublin Castle a lot, its a fantastic live music venue and last night i saw a band called The Electric Riot there who absolutely tore it up.
Anyone that enjoys live music should get down to the Castle!
Went recently on a friday to Dublin Castle and had a great night. The outside looks like an old man's local but dont let that put you off becasue inside is a fun, lively and youthful place. It's a small, but nicely intimate sized venue split between two rooms. There was a good standard of live Indie based music being played in the back room infront a lively, dancing crowd. The front room, which has limited seating around the edge, has a nice sociable atmosphere to it which makes it perfect for socialising with the interesting mix of young people that go here. The friendly staff serve just a standard range of pub spirits and wine, with draft, bottled and canned beers aslo available all at reasonable prices. The decor has seen better days and you don't really want to spend too long in the toilets, but these are two minor things that once in the venue do not effect the good time that will be had here.
The best place for that chance to see the 'next big thing!' Drinks are pretty reasonably priced too so its a great place to hang out with a likeable crowd for a few pints and some good music. We go at least once a fortnight and its yet to let me down! Look out for 7 year kismet on the 18th august!
You canny go wrong with one of London's best live venues.
Drinks, music and people to go with.
We go there at least once a week. There is, however, the odd tourist, too. Good news travel fast, or rather consistently.
Dublin Castle is a great venue in Camden and the music in the back room is well worth a visit. Recently saw Boy Cries Wolf and No Remedy's there - best band of the night was JUST FUZZ - a new indie rock band from Gloucester put on by Bugbear Promotions - good place to find the next big bands to hit the music scene of which the latter band has to be one to watch out for!
Traditional and reliable pub which is a favourite with talented musicians - and Suggs.
Cosy venue with some superb live bands showcasing. Suggs visits here too but don't let that deter you.
