Myself and my best mate held our joint 30th birthday party on the 1st floor of Dust last weekend.
When we were looking for a venue, the upstairs bar at Dust was the 1st place we saw. We fell in love with it and whilst looking around there was a lady booking for her party in January...she told us not to bother looking anywhere else as she had and these guys were the nicest people she'd dealt with. We took the plunge!
Dust provided us with the perfect environment to celebrate! Everyone who came along commented on how brilliant the venue was and how great Jon and his staff were at looking after us, including the security guys! The bar gave us the complete use of the DJ kit as well which was fantastic and helped provide the ideal soundtrack to our evening meaning our guests were dancing to our own choice of tunes pretty much until 4am! A great night / morning was had by all!
If you are thinking of hiring it, make sure you book well in advance as it's very popular...we were lucky and got a cancellation. We'll definitely be going back!
I agree with the last review, having frequented Dust for many years working just across the road. The bar is great fun and with Djs on every night they are open from Wed to Sat, there is always a great party atmosphere. The staff are friendly, especially Shane the manager who seems to have been around for years and Conrad the friendliest doorman in town. Cheap cocktails and bottled beers on Wednesdays, Dicing with Dust on Thursday and wicked DJs on Fridays and Saturdays - heres to 10 more years...keep up the good work guys!
Went there last week and it was having a party to celebrate its tenth birthday. Can understand why it's done so well, it's a great place, really cool. Great atmosphere, good music (it was playing stuff from 1998 to mark its birthday) and despite being really busy the staff were great. one wall is decorated with old tv sets, I reckon my dad used to have one just like the one at the top left!
I've been going to Dust for a few months now and all i can say is that it's brilliant. From the unusual friendly door staff to staff that actually seems to enjoy working and are having fun, you don't get that in many places. And the style of the bar is very cool and friendly with some really good music.
If you haven't been, i would recommend Thursdays. They do this dice thing, you roll against the bartender and if you beat him you get your round for free!!!!!! Last time i didn't pay for one drink all night.
I found Dust through the View London website and decided to check it out with a friend of mine last Saturday. The place is quite nice with good music and people. However, the service is absolutely appalling. The bartender was very rude and also refused to give us the correct change after we ordered our second drinks. He was suppposed to give us back £10.40 and he only gave us 40p. When we insisted that we had given him a 20-pound note and we asked him to check his till he refused to do so. It's the first time I got so ripped off in a bar. I certainly wouldn't recommend a place like that. If u decide to go there people, be extra careful of the change you're given at the bar!!
Went to Dust and thought it was porn heaven..
There was a load of adult entertaiment stars and it was gay heaven. There was plenty of action at Dust.
Dust is over-priced and over-hyped. The second time the moody scumbag behind the Dust bar tried to short change me I kicked up a fuss, troubled him for a receipt, and got a couple of quid back. Not the level of dishonesty you'd expect from what could be a nice place.
On a girls' night out on Saturday night we stumbled upon this little gem that is Dust. Great service and the crowd was pumping. We asked the DJ to play our tune and he was wicked. Cheers Dust!
Went to Dust with a few mates last week. Absolutely awesome! Super friendly door staff, cracking tunes, great service from the bar. Dust was one of the most enjoyable nights I've had in a long time. Thanks guys and girls, we'll definitely be back!
Dust is notable for its chilled but quite trendy, funky vibe. This is epitomised by the fact that there isn't a perfume pusher in the toilets (yay!).
The decor is straight out of the Shoreditch/ Hoxton decorating philosophy, with a mixture of bricks and rotating obscure artwork. The fact that this is quite a relaxed/trendy bar and not in the West End means that Dust attracts a different type of clientele. Lads don't seem to constitute a majority of the people here.
All in all, this place is worth a look. You may not fall in love with it, but there's still much to like and respect about it.
Terrible bar. Will never go there again!
The only thing that I don't like about Dust is that it is so damn far away from where I live. Would be my local otherwise.
The vibe is chilled, yet it gets you in the mood for clubbing if thats where you're headed. If you are there for the duration, I'd recommend it to anyone as a midweek escape or a weekend breakout.
Would be a feature there but it costs me £50 for a cab home. Humph!!!
Dust - the friendliest bar staff in Britain. A fantastic venue with great music and a license until 4am.
This is in no doubt my favourite bar in London! Got in on a guest list from VL (all fantastic! Jumped the queue, no hassles and looked v cool to the queueing masses!) and had a top time.
Funky tunes, crisp cocktails created to perfection surrounded by like minded people. I would advise you all to go, but then you'll probably flock to the place and ruin it...... But I can't help it! GO THERE! YOU MUST!
