This place is for WAG wannabes but sometimes it's kinda fun. I think you need to leave your dignity at the door a little and get absorbed in the craziness of the night!
I am very shocked at everyone's reviews!
I went to the Embassy Sat 26 April for my 20th with my boyfriend and we had the best night.
A small, stylish club with very nice people and staff. We didnt have to deal with the bouncers because we ate there too and they wasnt on the door when we went in at 8pm. The food was lovely.
Drinks are a little pricey, but for the evening, well worth the money.
I will be visiting again soon !!!
I was going to book this venue for my forthcoming birthday but on reading this own websites review I will now BE AVOIDING THIS VENUE and tell all my aquaintances to do likewise.
WHY? well if a "not very good" restaurant tries to make up for the fact the food isn't quality by putting such vile dishes as FOIE GRAS and VEAL on the menu then i say to the management: SHAME ON YOU!
In a society growing more aware of how our food is produced and turning our backs on factory farmed chickens why the hell is a London Club still serving duck livers (foie gras is produced by force feeding the birds in order to make their livers swell up) and veal (the meat of young male dairy calves and is illegal to produce white veal in this country as the system is considered cruel to the animals)??
I will be writing to them and sending their details to compassion in world farming.
NO STARS!
Where to start? It was my mates birthday and despite having a guestlist and the bouncers and door staff knowing this they were still damn right rude and arrogant!
The venue isn't the biggest but it's not to bad, and has a good vibe about it. What a shame that vibe is spoiled by the people there. Seriously the majority of the people there are stuck up and act like their some sort of celebrity. The bar staff are UNBELIEVABLE!!! They are the rudest bar staff I've ever met. You'd think for the prices you pay for the drinks they might be friendly or at the very least show customers a bit of respect. Guess that's not the way it works at Embassy.
So if you like over paying, snobby people, and very arrogant staff all around then head down to Embassy and you'll have the best night of your life. Personally I don't plan on going there ever again and would much rather go to a quality club up London.
Embassy has to be by far the worst club I have ever been to - and I have seen some shockers.
The bouncers (you've guessed it) were just plain up themselves and the bar staff were beyond belief! At one point I waved to get the attention of one guy for him to wave back and continue to do sweet F.A - then high five his buddy at his amusing response.
I mean how surprising that at £18 for 2 vodka's I would expect to be served and that he was paid to serve?!
As a big fan of 'handbag' house, the music was good and the crowd was a nice mix (not to rah) although the men did flounce about like you should care if they thought you're fit - got slightly boring after a while. And before you ask - no I am not butters.
If you are looking for a night where you can get glammed up with your girls and enjoy yourself, don't go here. There are plenty of decent London clubs with less 'tude and the right level of service to make you feel like a million bucks :)
This club is a disgrace. Extremely overpriced, with rude, arrogant staff and full of idiots with no manners.
Went on NYE and had to queue for over an hour, despite having pre-booked tickets, thereby seeing the New Year in on the street instead of inside the club.
The Embassy clearly rides on the fact it is mentioned in the papers for it's celeb guests and doesn't even attempt to give 'mere mortals' a good experience.
Don't bother with this place if you want to have a good time or unless you are a poser. You will be disappointed. If I could give this place no stars, I would....
Went to this club on NYE after buying tickets for myself and friends online ahead of time. Once there, we were made to wait in the queue for over an hour in the rain and were still waiting outside when it turned midnight. There was no apparent reason for making us wait - just pure arrogance. The bouncers were aggressive and rude, spending most of their time hugging each other and acting like they were in some gangster movie and the ones inside pushed and ordered us around for the sake of it.
Don't waste your time and money on this place, unless you really like being treated badly.
The only reason the club gets one star is because there is no option for ‘no star’. The club maybe in a nice area, but the club and its staff are from nice. The bouncers act as if they are in an action movie, and the lady at the door…. Well let’s just say beauty with no brains-whatsoever.... it’s not very difficult to read the guest list now is it darling…
Judging by the people in the club I can’t believe they turn people away, I went on a Friday, and what trash, people looked as if they were dressed to lounge around the comfort of their own home.
Go to embassy at your peril, I would never recommend this club.
I have not had the misfortune of visiting this establishment but would like to let you know how I got on when attempting to reserve an area. I sent an email to Embassy (along with several other bars) to check availability for my birthday. I received a phone call from a member of staff who I could barely understand / hear on the telephone because of the volume of noise in my office. I had to ask a couple of times where he was calling from, obviously having enquired at a few venues I wanted to be sure who I was speaking with! Anyway, after tiring of his aggresive tone and general rudeness I said "Don't worry about the enquiry thank you" to which he responded "Get your facts straight" and hung up. Nice! Wonderful customer service... I certainly won't be visiting this bar and will be telling everyone I know not to either.
Had a great night (Friday 16th November), door staff and bar staff very friendly. Called a few hours before to confirm we were on the guest list. Drink prices quite expensive but we did expect this. Great variety of music, was a little bit disapointed with the size of the toilets, lack of space and lack of mirrors in there, the lady providing paper towels was very rude and abrupt. Nice Molton Brown hand wash though. All in all a really good night, will definately go again (when saved a few more pennies!).
Deserted Thursday night. The food is good and is nouvelle cuisine. The staff are polite and good. The club is small, dirty and at the top there was a karaoke private party. Is that what they consider a super venue for clubber?
I went to Embassy on a Monday. We were the first ones to arrive there so we got in for free and the doormen/security guards/everyone were really friendly. The barmen are also very kind.
The only downside is the music is really really bad. I would only go back there for the kind/polite staff lol.
Sorry to everyone who had bad experience there.
Three of us went to the Embassy London on Saturday by chance, as we couldn't get in at the Wardour. It was £15.00 to get in, £17.00 for bottle of wine, but the most ridiculous thing was the cost of two vodkas and coke - £19.00! Why does it cost that much, you still have to queue up at the bar - they weren't served in crystal glasses!
The Embassy drinks are totally OTT. Other than that we had a good night, we got there about half ten but I think the later it got, the more picky they were about letting people in.
We went to Embassy London on Saturday night. We had pre-arranged it all and were in VIP. When we arrived all the staff seemed pleasant enough. The drinks were expensive but we knew they would be. All changed when one of our party was thrown out (for no reason) and not allowed to come and tell us.
She was left alone in London in the early hours of the morning. Thank God she called our driver who came back early to collect her. This is totally unacceptable - we spent over £500 at Embassy. We won't be going back
I was appalled when my friends and I were refused entry to Embassy last night because we were not dressed smartly enough. I guess wearing Gucci sandals, a Fendi bag and a Donna Karen dress is still just not good enough for them. Ridiculous, yes. I would not recommend Embassy London ever.
We tried to go to Embassy for my friend’s brithday. She had submitted a guestlist and received a confirmation back. When we got there at first we were told that she didn't have a guestlist, then it materialised out of nowhere. The rude door staff then trotted off inside to ask her manager something, reappearing moments later to explain that they weren't accepting big groups.
We then questioned firstly, why were we sent a confirmation email and actually put on the guestlist if they had no intention of letting us in; and secondly, why a large group of guys had just been let in. We were snobbishly told that it's the managers prerogative to refuse entry and that groups of boys were going to spend at least £1000.
In my long history of clubbing it’s usually guys that have difficulty getting into clubs not groups of girls. My friend was reduced to tears by the staff so we went and spent our money elsewhere and had a much better night than I can imagine we would have had at Embassy.
This was the second time me and my friend have been to Embassy, and both times one of the female bar staff has got the hump as we got into the VIP section. I have never met such rude, arrogant, and jealous people. Then to top it off my mate had her drink spiked and was really ill. Dont go to Embassy London - pretentious is not the word for these people.
Having been to Embassy London before and had a wicked time I was very disappointed when we went the second time. The cheeky little girl on the Embassy door needs to learn some manners! She refused to let me and my mate in and we are both girls.
I told her to check our names on the guestlist again as we had confirmation but she refused point blank. She didn't even check the list to see if our names were on there. I just don't understand how these door pickers work?! It was humiliating and embarrassing.
I went to Embassy London and it was possibly the worst club I have ever been to. It is far too small, has poor decor and rude door staff. It's full of old men, and they may be rich, but really that is not what you want to be surrounded by. Embassy London has very good music, but this was not sustained.
I couldn't even recommend this club to an enemy. Don't go there, don't even think about it!There are lots of high-end clubs that are far better. The only good thing was the guy playing the tiny drums in the corner. I guess that's all you can fit in a club the size of a shoebox.
After reading some of the reviews for Embassy London I had mixed feelings about going, but decided to arrange a guestlist. I spoke to the nicest lady and we did not have to queue or pay to get in. The door staff were great and the bar staff funny and friendly.
The drinks were no more than other clubs in London. The music was good but not as much RnB as I would have liked. There had been a celebs karaoke night earlier so there were a few familiar faces around. All in all I had a great night, except the lights went on a 2am despite being told it was open until 3am. I will be making Embassy London a first choice in future.
Embassy London has a great decor and fun music to dance to and I like the ambience. So it is such a pity that it has to be ruined by over priced drinks and staff with extremely obnoxious, pretentious attitudes.
As an attractive girl who most people say dresses well even I felt intimidated by the pretentiousness there, so I can only imagine how a guy would feel. Don't they realise that that this type of attitude gives Embassy London the bad ratings as per below and stops people from going back?
I didn't know that Embassy London was a suppose to be a location. However I went for Halloween and I only paid £10 as I got the ticket a promoter girl I know. At first I didn't like the layout but ended up enjoying it as it made the crowed feel closer, giving it that nightlife/club feel.
I loved the Embassy London mirrors as they were great to watch. The dance VIP area was bit boring and a bit dark. Mixed drinks were really good with enough alchohol in them.
My nigt at Embassy London could have been excellent but turned out to be very dissappointing. My friends and I were turned away on the night. It was very embarrasing and rude, especially as they allowed the some of the girls from our party in. We found this attitude really offensive.
We were all looking forward to going to Embassy London especially as we heard great things. But now we wouldn't go there even if they apologised.
I went to Embassy London for the first time on Saturday and had a fab night. £20.00 on the door seemed a little steep at first but by the end of the night it was well worth it. Me and my mate ended up VIP and so drinks were free and we met some great interesting people.
There were some stuck up peeps in there who were looking for Mr Rich but, apart from that the tunes were banging and we met a lovely friendly bouncer so our night was great. I couldn't do it every week as I would be bankrupt, but overall Embassy London is a night to remember.
I was very excited to get on the guest list for Embassy London, having heard what a fabulous place it was. We were expecting a stylish club but instead we were faced with a real dive. The decor was dark and dreary and the place was full of pretentious people pretending to enjoy themselves. The dance floor was a little square patch of space down in the depths of the building with people packed in like sardines.
We paid £20.00 to get in, nearly £30.00 for three drinks and stayed for less than an hour. It was the worst place I've ever been to for a night out. Embassy London was one massive and expensive disappointment.
Embassy London was wicked! I went on friday 22nd sept and I had an absolutely wicked time I danced all night as the DJ was spinning tune after tune. My feet still hurt now! Drinks were reasonably priced so my friend and I decided to splash out.
Door staff were very polite and bar staff at Embassy London were also great. The vibes were wicked, everyone was just dancing all night and we met some wicked people. I will definitely be coming back here without fail.
I went to the Embassy London with three of my mates and we had the best time ever. The DJ played great music all night.
Yeah the drinks are expensive, but we are in London. We didn't book a table, we just met some guys there who were in the VIP bit, who invited us up there amd bought us drinks all night. Embassy is a brillant club. We will be returning.
We went to Embassy on a Saturday night a couple of weeks ago using a guest list, which stated that ladies get in for free before 11.30. This only appears to apply if you arrive at the front of the guest list queue by 11.30. Otherwise it's £20.00 a pop.
Embassy London was a serious, serious disappointment. We wanted to leave almost immediately. No problems with the bouncers & bar-staff, but the actual place is the pits. I don't even consider it a quality, fashionable venue. The decor is very ordinary, bar area too full of pre-booked tables populated by idiots flashing their cash, the club area downstairs is just a small hole in the ground with roped off sections containing pretentious geezers. The biggest problem is yet again the dress standards of people they let in.
I went to Embassy London on Saturday and was a little confused. I didn’t have much contact with the bouncers so I wouldn’t like to comment, but the bar staff were polite and friendly. The drink prices were reasonable (bottle of wine £23.00).
The dance floor is tiny and packed, but you can’t help dancing because the DJ played some real good music, and took it back to the old school and everything. Considering it says that the dress code is smart, I was surprised to see people wearing converse and jeans, a little disappointed as I had gone all out. There were lots of beautiful people though. The VIP room was not so good, as it was very boring, very dark and has few people. Overall Embassy London is a nice little club, but I will be checking out other clubs before I return there.
I went to Embassy London and I have to say I rather enjoyed it. The bouncers were very nice and let me and the guy I went with in straight away. I though the drinks were expensive at first but it is London I suppose. The decor was lovely and the toilets were wicked, with mirrors.
The Embassy London had a mixed crowd who loved the music. I met some fantastic people everyone was really friendly. I would recommend it, but you have to pick the right night to go on.
Went to Embassy London last Saturday. What a fabulous place. Got in free due to a friend, but would happily have paid £20.00. Music was superb pumping a brilliant energy onto the dance floor all night. Crowd was great, drunk but no trouble and over 25 for the most part. Drinks v pricey, but still worth it. Will definately go to Embassy London again!
I went to Embassy London last Friday and had an absolutely great time. I called the club to be put on the guest list, which I was told to do online or via email. After getting all the names together and sending them through, I received a reply straight away to tell me that we were all on.
Following the recommendation to arrive before 11pm (otherwise the club is too packed and you can’t get in), we didn’t have to queue for long. The design of Embassy London is simply stunning and definitely worth seeing. A good mix of music and a friendly crowd is all you need to have a good night out.
I organised a company dinner at Embassy London and we had a wonderful night. Everybody was commenting how fantastic the food and the service have been. Many thanks to the events team for their help and I will keep this Embassy London in mind, next time I have to find a venue in the Capital.
I went for dinner at Embassy London with some friends on Friday, and I can’t understand the negative reviews. We thought it was just wonderful.
We started our evening with a couple of very well prepared cocktails at the bar. Later at the table, service was very attentive and we didn’t miss a thing. The food was absolutely delicious and we were about to ask for more, it was a shame that we couldn’t fit anything else in.
We finished a great evening at London Embassy at 3am. The private members club and bar, gives you complementary entry as a restaurant guest, and is one you have to see - it is simply stunning and has a great atmosphere.
We went to Embassy London on Friday to celebrate my 18th and we had such a good night. It was an amazing and very drunk night. The only bad points are the drinks are VERY expensive. I mean, hello, we are students. It's very hard to afford that much money and it gets very hot. I sweat less when I go to the gym! Overall, Embassy London was a wicked night.
We went last Friday to Embassy and found it a total disappointment. In particular, the staff desperately needed training for good manners and respect as they were extremely rude not just to us but also to other people in the club. I think the whole place is on a power trip.
The drinks are well overpriced too and are not even that tasty. There are a lot of other clubs out there that are more entertaining with polite staff, Embassy London was overall unprofessional.
Embassy is cheap, rubbish and rude.
Embassy is a hateful club, I thought it was supposed to be exclusive and nice but I actually saw one of the bar staff pour out a glass of white wine for my friend which was the wrong order so my friend told her and to our complete astonishment she poured the wine from the glass back into the bottle and stuck the cork in! I can't believe that this happened especially when the drinks are fairly expensive! Do they really need to save that much money at Embassy?
My friend and I went to Embassy on a Tthursday and there were no problems getting in but when we went dowstairs the place was empty! It did get a little more packed and although drinks were expensive there's always some rich guy there to buy the ladies a drink. The crowd was not mixed which was quite disappointing and was full of middle aged people trying to 'groove' to the latest RnB (though quite funny to watch). I intend to go to Embassy this saturday, to see if it is as bad as people say. The toilet attendent was lovely though!
Don't ever go to Embassy! To be honest I've been to Embassy about three times and had a great time but this one night we went it was a joke, I never been so angry in my life. The bouncer was trying to not let us in for no reason and we had booked a £500 table! He is the rudest person I've ever meet, I don't even know why he works there. Embassy need to sort it out or everyone will hate it! I will never go again - it's a joke...
Embassy's a tough club to get into because of the amount of stupid celebs using it as a private hangout, however it's all done very tongue in cheek and you can have great fun watching the rich and the ridiculous inside! Get a table if you can because otherwise you stand all night but the staff are a laugh every time, even the toilet attendents are unexpectedly sweet (take note chinawhites). DJs at Embassy are very good usually but yes, there are rude people in there - but what else do you expect from London's nouveau riche? If you want normal go to Wetherspoons I say.
I found Embassy to be extremely rude with very disappointing service, an overall score 0! It was the worst ever!
I've been organising to go to Embassy for a while and made a guest list of around 30 girls and 20 guys. I've been to Embassy before and had a great time so I was surprised by all the BAD reviews I've seen here. Boy, was I wrong to doubt.
We went to Embassy around 10:30 and found they were not letting most of my friends in. It was because most of the girls had not arrived yet. What is the point of a guest list then...? So I went to talk to one of the staff there and they were extremely rude, when I asked them to be a bit more polite and there is no reason to be rude cos' we're potential customers they answered: You are not a customer, you have Never been one, And you will never be one!
I've never seen such apalling service in my life and I've been to plenty of clubs (Umbaba, China White, Roof Gardens, Tantra, Attica to name a few). The image Embassy try to give out is very contradictory; posh decoration but barbaric Staff and security. You couldn't make me go to Embassy even if you paid me!
The staff are so rude in Embassy that it ruins the night so I recommend for a good night out you head in any direction other than Embassy, 29 Old Burlington Street.
DONT GO TO EMBASSY LONDON! You will waste your time and money. Its small, full of trash and the last time I went the manager was wearing a dirty un-ironed rugby shirt (and this place is supposed to be exclusive), it's a joke.
I have read tons of negative reviews regarding Embassy London and they are true. It's full of pretend rich people who dont have money at all! Plus if they did I would suggest they spend it on some manners.
We went to Embassy London on Saturday 17th December and were really disappointed. Embassy London was not half as good as we expected and the staff are very, very rude!
I went to Embassy London on Saturday night. The staff are very rude - I don't recommend it!
Embassy London was quality, look don't go there if you can't afford it! The food was amazing and the service was great. The club was packed and the VIP area was quality.
Go to Embassy London if you can afford to pay £500 for a bottle of Cristal. The women are so sexy and all looking for a good night!
Went to Embassy London on Saturday. We arrived there early with no problem getting in. We sat down at a 2 seat table and one of the bar staff said that it was reserved and that all the tables with rope around them had been reserved. So that left nowhere to sit down.
Anyhow, went to the bar for the first drinks and 2 vodka and cokes were very expensive. I don't care how good the club is, is that is a joke? I suppose we did get the wanabee gangstas and rappers for free.
Well that's all from me. Anyone who wants to go out and have a few drinks and a dance, dont go to Embassy London.
Embassy London was quality! I would definitely go again. Embassy London was classy but not stuck up. 10 out of 10. The music was amazing on Saturday night.
