Magical place, magical music, magical people. I can only comment on a saturday....you love house/tech this is the place to be, everyone is chilled out and there for the music....no need to dress up, there's no one to impress, no one cares....we are all there to have a magical time, experiencing the amazing dj's that play there
LOVE Fabric! I'm addicted to the place. It's a dream venue if you like Drum 'n' Bass music
Fabric has always feels like home to me, especially their music. That's why I had my Fabric-first membership last year and get 2 cds every month, which never disappointing me. Friday drum and bass is really good for dancing, but saturday house techno is less exciting and the crowd is getting a bit unworthy to the place. I have never had problem with the doors at anytime because of my black leather membership card always guarantee me a great deal of freedom. I love the cute young crowd there (mainly early 20s, and teens). I go to fabric almost every 1 or 2 month.
By far one of my favourite Clubs.
Awesome music & line ups.
Too many sleazy men spoiling what would be a great party but turn down the bass, sometimes it's all you can hear... Peace
Fabric is the BEST Club in London by a long shot. The only problem with it, which someone mentioned below is that because of its name it can get pretty damn busy and it’s not nice when condensation sweat drips on your head. Still though the sound system is perfect and the drinks are reasonably priced. LOVE Fabric with a passion. Well looking forward to dub police this Friday......Role on the madness
second to none, people complaining about fabric clearly go for the wrong reasons/don't get the music/vibe.
Magic place.
Went there on a friday DNB night, i expected it bigger.Staff was ok i could say. Djs were playing like they are deaf, all mixers LEDs on RED and super distorted music from their cheap speakers was trying to make me dance like a sardine stuck in a can.Drinks?? same British gypsy plastic glass of one shot for 5 quids!!!?Too bad my favourite djs were playing but none of them showed us respect!!Only good thing was the stuff on the door gave us back the "staff" ;-)Never Fabric again!!!
The best club in London bar none. Sound system is amazing and the drinks are reasonably priced. Only downside is because of its name it gets almost too busy on certain nights. Heard rumours it was shutting down recently so I just wanna say go here and spend some money to keep it open cos its fantastic.
i love fabric Friday i went to urban nerds this week were off to playerz and i cant wait for dub police!! i never had any trouble in there and bought tickets before hand so Quing wasn't bad either!!. for all the reviews below who are not impressed with the club are obvs very naive or stupid the its not like liquid and envy its a rave its for people who love the music! do you research before you go cos if you don't like the music there is no point in going at all!
The music and surroundings are incredible here. The team behind Fabric has mastered clubbing down to a science, which is why it's so disappointing to see it draw such an "unworthy" crowd.
Though most clubs have their fair share of sleaze, Fabric, for the most part, seems to attract an appalling breed of men, who corner, stick up against and grope women, whether they're in male company or not (this one guy actually grabbed my crotch).
If you want to avoid this kind of behaviour, try the corners of the room, or find a wall you can lean against, while your male friends face you, so you're covered on both sides.
I wanted to take full advantage of my last week in London. So, I decided I wanted to also party on Sunday, and Fabric happened to be open til 6 am. Since it was sunday, I was worried that it would be completely dead or boring. I made it there a little early, enough to see the bouncer setting up all the fence stuff. So I asked him what the crowd would be like and whether it would be fun. He mentioned it would be a lot more non-brits, which made sense, since the next morning would be a work day. Sure enough, it was mostly Spanish people, which was perfectly fine. But it's like they all decide to show up on that day. Anyway, it was awesome! Great music and considering it was a sunday, it was so worth it. For students, its only 5 quid to get in, so it's a mega deal for Fabric (i think my friends said they had to pay 20 for friday). I met some cool people who just wanted to have fun, the staff were super friendly (one of the guys who keep an eye on people saw that I was too shy to dance at first and kept encouraging me to go and have fun), and the music was great. The vibrating dance floor massages your feet so you don't feel the fact that you don't leave the dance floor for hours at a time. I would definitely recommend it, and it sucks that some people had a bad experience with the staff.
As per other reviews here, us too were greeted with a lot of rudeness from the staff. We were not allowed to get in without any reason given. When I politely asked for a reason, the bouncer threatened to throw my ID card in the trash bin! That was a nice experience.
I went to Fabric on Saturday night with a friend who was looking forward to seeing the club. We joined the Q and when our turn came, they asked for ID. We both showed our UK driving licenses and they told us "this way". What we did not realised was that they meant "OUT". We were told that someone had decided that you are not allowed in. When we asked why they were very rude. We waited a few minutes until another person who worked there came out to smoke and asked him if he can tell us the reason. He said we don’t allow two guys together. We obviously knew he was lying because we saw groups of three and four guys going in. We moved to try the club next door where the bouncers were friendly and as we were talking to them, two of the Chav rood Fabric bouncers came and asked us to move away from the pavement. I said you don’t own the pavement and this is a free country to which one of them replied “maybe in your country”. I said this is my country and they all started laughing loud and being even ruder.
In summary, we did not get to go inside but if all the staff are as low class and Chavs as the ones we met at the door, then I would advise anyone who has any self respect not to try Fabric.
Went here a couple of times.. the place is really big and spacious i love it.. however the music is not that good.. its house but not the best.. the drink prices are okay..
I LOVE this place! I went for a DJ set with Pendulum and Chase and Status with a few friends and the atmosphere was electric! Drinks were well priced, the only downside was that it becomes incredibly packed after a while and the smell of sweat and spilled vodka red bull is overpowering! However, the music definitely makes up for it, with a seating area near the dance floor if you feel like chilling for a bit, and a few rooms if you want a change of scene. Definitely recommended by me!
Went on a Sunday and it was excellent. Got in quickly, and wasn't horribly crowded. The sound-system here is absolutely outstanding, as well as the lights! I would definitely come back on another night.
I went on a drum and bass event , which was a massive mistake as I hate Drum and Bass. I mean I absolutely loathe it. Apart from that I have got to admit location wise and club wise , Fabric is the best I have to. There is a really good atmosphere and I felt that the staff are friendly. I would definitely recommend it to everyone to try, just make sure you know what music is being played on what nights.
If you have to ask the bouncer or anyone in the queue "what music do you play here?" or expect the dance-floor to be busy "between 11pm and 1am " (wtf!?) then please please get yourself to Roxy's in Watford or the like. If you want to spend a night in an iconic location, playing some the the best and varied tunes across three rooms, for a party that doesnt really start until 4 am, when the lightweights go home, Fabric is for you. The staff, by the way, are the best Ive come across in 20 years of clubbing.
Fabric is a brilliant club to go to if you enjoy loud pumping music and raving away! I cant understand all of these people complaining about it, surely just by looking at pictures of the club, it clearly shows that it is more of a rave, so if you are hoping for a school boy disco playing justin bieber than stay away! Also the capacity for the club is 1800, that means that there is a lot of queuing, which is expected! The bouncers stand outside all night in the cold getting mouthed off by either drunk lads or girls (ladettes) wasted before they've even reached the door, claiming they're being "manhandled" because they're told to keep moving in the queue. If they weren't so lippy maybe they wouldn't get themselves chucked out of the club or told off by the bouncers!
All in all if you are looking for a good night out, (as in a rave) i would highly recommend Fabric, its not cheap but i think its worth it because it stays open so late!
I would not even give this club one star. The door staff were majorly aggressive and just bullys. All I wanted to know was the type of music that was going to be played. I then got thrown out the queue and was sworn at by the management. Considering I am a young woman their tone and aggressiveness was shocking. I didn't even go into the club due to their rudeness and being sworn at. I found them very intimidating and will be making a formal complaint. If you like confrontation with door staff then this is the place to go.
The night at Fabric was disappointing. Living in London for a while heard a lots about it as one place you have to go.
The club has a nice decor but mostly it will be the music that makes the party memorable. Their djs need to learn a thing or two about making a good mix and keeping the crowd going. The music was very bad and after while it was hard to take for any longer (it was all about just a hard base line and poor melodies and bridges, fun for a while but great dj should know better). We left early and quite disappointed.
If you want to attend a great party in London, I suggest you look for low key venue mostly south side of the river.
Fabric is the best place I have ever been to. Music is really awsome and it is quality music. We went home at 7a. M. And the place was still full. People are awsome and interesting and fun. Staff is even more awsome, they were all so great, nice and kind, talkative and understanding. I dont drink so I dont know about the prices of alcohol. And I dont know what are all these ppl talking about when saying that they were waiting for coats or to get in for a long time. We went there both saturday and sunday while staying in london and both days everything went so fast without problems. Toilets are also impressively clean! I had the time of my life at fabric indeed. Place you must see if you call yourself a real clubber or a real electro freak
One of the best larger clubs in London. The is music primary techno so not really suitable for the happy-go-lucky crowd going for R&B or house. Unfortunately the good reputation of Fabric attracts also people who are less interested in a having a good time and enjoy the music than chasing the opposite sex and/or getting hammered.
Yep great club ,nice atmosphere. But I have to say totally ruined by all the touts trying to get you in their cars when you come out saying they are cabdrivers.Seems the club gets a cut.Make sure you use a proper london Taxi
I've heard some good feedback about fabric and went there today. And I must say that fabric totally sucks mostly because of some not polite, cheap-beer-drinkin'-rude-(yeah, and mostly ugly)-audience-attending. Yes, and didn't I mention shitty music playing? I like dance music, but dance music in Fabric just boring. In addition, fabric is dark and grimy. I mean, you can't see even faces in the crowd. I hated it.
it was a Saturday night, we went there to celebrate our friend's birthday, and everything was awesome.. ;)
this place in the top 3. :)
What a night! My friends from Orlando were in town 2 weeks ago and had never been to London (let alone a London club) and where better to take them than Fabric (especially as all the other top clubs have closed due to st Pancreas - bloody EuroStar).
It was electro night on Friday, started out with some bands and I though I'd made a mahooosive mistake and was about to jump in a cab to Egg!...
Thank got I kept faith! The night was INCREDIBLE, the tunes were incredible and the crowd were cool! Some of the people on here go on about the prices of the alcohol, but I thought it was cheap as chips.
Not many clubs in London can you get Gin and T and a beer and have change from a tenner. the bar staff are cool.If you haven't been, get yourself down and you'll love it...
Fabric still rules in my book (I do Dj there though)
went there 4 july, brilliant, friendly atmosphere including the bouncers and staff, sound system is amazing...
everyone on it even at 6am...anyone who gives this place a bad rating better stick to Pacha or summin...will defo go back.
Great sound system... lots of space unique expereince!
Yes its busy, yes you have to queue to get in and put your coat away but what do you expect if your out on a fri/sat night? Once you are inside the music is great, everyone is friendly and the place is surprisingly chilled, despite the music! Worth all the hassles in my opinion. Watch out for losing your mates though-you may not see them til morning!
fantastic! staff are overly slow though! and d&b music gets boring after a while all sounding the same, expected some good mixes with new songs. rubbish. definately not the best club in london but it is really good!
I went there with a friend, because we had heared that this club was one of the best in London. But I can't say much good about this club. When we entered the club we stand in a line for our coats. That's not a big problem, but we stand in the line for about an 45 minutes!
The people who worked at the coatroom are the slowest people I have ever seen. Once we we're inside we want to take a couple of drinks, but that was also very difficult. The bartender was showing al of his skills, while the line was getting bigger and most of the people was getting irritated.
The music was alright, but not special. After an hour we dicided to go to another club, but the line was even bigger than he was at the time that we entered the club. After an hour we finally had our coats, so we could exit the club. I never hope to go to a club like this ever. London was great, but this club was a horrorshow.
Fabric is quality granted, but don't tell me its the best club in London. Just check out the video of Digitalism@ The End on Youtube and you'll see what I mean. I was there more recently for the last ever Border Community, Kieron Hebdens set in the lounge was so good I was almost in tears, the atmosphere was like nothing i've ever experienced at Fabric or anywhere else. The thing is, queing at Fabric is enough to get on anyones nerves. 2-3 hours to get in, half hour puttin your coat away, at least half hour every time you want a smoke, queing at the bar, queing if you want a cubical, and if you leave at the end be prepared to wait another 1-2 to get out. It just goes on and on. Is it worth it? If for you drum n bass is the be all and end all then yes, don't let it put you off. Personally for me its no contest, when Fabric is good its brilliant. but when The End is good, trust me... its in a league of its own.
By far the best d&b club in London! Beats the likes of Funky B as it doesn't come across as overly arrogant and the crowd is much less pretentious because of this! Drinks are a bit steep, but i dont hit Fabric every Friday to get drunk, there are plenty of other places for that, just enjoy the vibe and killer beats! DJ Yoda is gonna be tearing the place up on Friday and i'll damn sure be there!
ah fabric, what did i do before i met you? if you like to go out and have jammed packed night of dancing your little socks off and meeting an array of interesting people then this is the place for you. fabric gives a special experience. the layout is amazing and you should take note that if you split up from friends at the begining, you probably won't see them again. like all places, you occasionally get bad apples now and again, but this is outweighed by the happy happy people you will encounter. friday is personally a favourite of mine, yet saturday makes a change if you like dance as well as d&b. even if you're not as inlove with fabric as me, its worth going there at least once to one of london's superclubs.
This is the best club in London along with Ministry because the music is excellent. The best DJs spin in Fabric so you won't be disappointed.
Fabric is the happiest place in London, no doubt.
I've done the whole pretnetious club scene - Amika, Funky B etc... and have to say, give me Fabric any day.
Yah some of the people are a bit strange, but for really letting yourself go it's bloody unrivalled.
Also, if you're still buzzing having been kicked out at 6, Fire's a £5 taxi down the road and makes for a great morning rave. Open until 12 when hosting Horizon. Full of shirtless gay blokes with six packs. Great if you want the messyness to continue!
So yah don your nu rave ts and get yourself down to Fabric. You won't have a better night in London.
I usually enjoy Fabric, but last friday was ridiculous!
Arrived at 9.40 before its opening and still waited for 2 hours 20!!!
Chavs were pissing every-single-where, rude bouncers, drunken guys shouting and poushing...pfff..
we got in after midnight and again, too many people! I had to do the queue to smoke!
I will not advise to go to Fabric when there s too many good djs, unless you buy your ticket in advance and u dont mind being surrounded by TOO many people!
