Went to firefly for new years eve as they were hosting a lindy hop swing dance night. Excellent fun, very busy but still got served fast. Thought staff were very friendly and obviously enjoying themselves. Will be back soon

Had Xmas drinks here last week with the girls from work - such a great laugh! We pretty much worked our way through the cocktail list and the service was quick and with a smile even though we were ordering a dozen cocktails or so each order :-) It was pretty busy too, i guess its a popular after work venue for those that work in the area. We'll be back!

Had a graet xmas party there last night. We were about 20 pax, and all had food and drink- the bar was very busy but service and food were very good and there was a good vibe.
The bar could do with adding some more wines and chapagnes to its offering which is adequate but not extensive. Cocktail list was good though and did not take an eternity to arrive on the table !

EPIC FAIL.Evidently this place has gone downhill since the other reviews were written, but this place is really shoddily run. I have the ‘pleasure’ of working in the offices above this bar, so have been here on several occasions over the last couple of years simply because it’s so convenient, but they keep on running out of beer (and cider) on tap, leaving only expensive bottles to choose from. Whilst this would be forgivable if it happened once, it happens with alarming frequency – at least 5 or 6 times to my knowledge, and that’s only in the times I’ve been there (and although I still go there sometimes if friends are drinking there, I don’t make a habit of visiting as I got fed up with the place after the second time it happened). When the primary reason for a business’s existence it to serve drink (such as it is with a bar), to repeatedly run out of EVERYTHING on tap is inexcusable. It would actually be funny if it wasn’t so irritating.Food’s decent enough, and the new games room downstairs is quite nice (albeit invariably empty), but the poor management of this place makes it a venue best avoided. Jamies round the corner is a LOT cheaper (and doesn’t run out of drink), and the Viaduct over the road is a fantastic traditional boozer too. Firefly can’t even come close. Worst. Bar. Ever.

Im pleased to say this place is still as popular now as it was when it first opened, and the piano man is still here! We had a really nice meal with wine (and a cocktail or two)- it was incredible food and it didnt break the bank either. I'll def be returning!

Every time I have been to Firefly, my experience has always been 100% positive. What really makes a difference is the staff. They are so friendly and smiley -something which is quite rare around this area!
The piano man on Thursdays is amazing, we go every week!

Happy hour 2-4-1 cocktails always go down a treat and the club night on fridays always leave me with a hanbvover on Saturday...

I really recommend Firefly for anyone who wants a different night out in the city, great staff, great drinks, great music, great venue, couldn't ask for more!

At last a bar with personality in an area where all the bars seem to be bland and corporate. I like that each floor (there are 3) is different in decor and seems to have a different feel (personal favourite is the middle floor with the steel fronted bar and tealight candles in the brick wall). The food was great and not too expensive and the cocktails were well made. And the barman was friendly! You dont that too often in this neck of the woods... Will definately be returning.

Firefly - at last a new place to go in my area, and what a great place too! Recently opened, Firefly has me hook, line and sinker. It has great staff, food and cocktails.

Firefly offers a delicious menu as my wife and I found out to our considerable joy last week. The setting is lovely too and the staff made us feel very much at home. I don't usually write these so don't know what else to say, other than perhaps, go to Firefly?

I was at the Firefly bar on Thursday with a company party and we had a great time. The food and service were excellent and there was a really friendly vibe in the place. We will be back at Firefly soon.
