With a delicious cocktail menu and sociable atmosphere, Fudge is a tiny club on Leicester Square that always manages to come across as cozy rather than cramped.

The Venue
Dimly-lit and decorated with a selection of giant mirrors and chandeliers, Fudge is an intimate little club, filled with tiny candles and vases of exotic-looking flowers. The bar offers a selection of cakes and brownies sitting on cake stands (for when you’re craving something sweet that’s not in cocktail form!) and paintings of celebrity icons such as Elvis Presley gaze down at you from the walls.

In theory, you have a choice of seating areas – either the tables opposite the bar, or the comfortable lounge area at the back of the club where customers can relax on giant leopard-print sofas – but on busy nights it can take a while to find an available chair. It’s a small place, and it does fill up. There is, however, some limited seating outside.

The Atmosphere
The bar at Fudge has a warm and friendly atmosphere, filled with trendy young people; and with everyone sat so close together, you’ll often find yourself making friends with everyone around you. The bar staff are polite, and they provide a surprisingly quick service even when the bar is packed.

The Music
Alternating between funky house and RnB, the music at Fudge is played loud enough to dance without making a fool of yourself - but not so loud that you can’t have a conversation.

The Drink
Try the cocktails! They have some great happy hours, the menu is impressive, and the drinks are served in very generously sized glasses, justifying the slightly higher prices. If cocktails aren’t your thing, they’ve still got your favourite beers, spirits, and various wines – all averagely priced for the area. On busy nights they will often offer a free shot with your first drink, so try to grab yourself a voucher on your way in!

The Last Word
Fudge proves that size doesn’t matter – managing to take advantage of their lacking space by providing an intimate but sociable club with a tasty selection of drinks. A must for any cocktail fan.
