Despite the previous comment, I noticed how relaxed and human the door staff were at this venue. They don't 'hold you up' at the door to appear busy and are friendly and relaxed when you want to go upstairs for a breath of fresh air or a cigarette. Friday nights are great for live music and I can strongly recommend a trip down here for all newcomers.

A club with an attitude that left a bad taste.

Last night I was there with work colleagues and witnessed some people defending a girl after the doorman dismissed her when she was clearly distraught, on her own and had facial injuries. Two people were trying to reason with the doorman to find out if she was okay when I heard a torrent of abuse from staff, especially from the girl on the cloakroom who shouted "It's none of your effing business" as well as other remarks that were just plain unjustified and rude.

Those people, who were clearly no trouble themselves, could have just walked on by, but chose to have a bit of compassion and look out for someone who was vulnerable. They were ejected from this place for 'complaining' in the bouncer's words. I sincerely hope that girl was okay.

Shame on you, staff. Shame on you.

A hidden oasis in the cultural desert that is Shepherds Bush. Amazing little bar - really friendly vibe, and turns into a great nightclub on a Saturday night!

Seriously, this place is so under-rated - if it was in East London, everyone would be raving about it and there would be queues round the block every weekend. Worth traveling west for!

What else could you possibly want from a bar than the nintendo wii. on a screen Jean-Luc Picard would be proud to operate! this is heaven.

Ginglik is so funky inside, I just love the fact it used to be a toilet! Me and my mates have been on a Friday and the atmosphere was great. Get down to Ginglik!

Ginglik is a one bar entertainment wave for the west of London. I shall be returning as often as I can - they have great staff, it's very friendly and there always seems to be something going on. Superb!
