When ordering drinks at this club make sure you tell the bar staff how much money you are giving them. They have a tendency to believe £20 is a £10 and £10 is a £10. They know what they are doing and if they want extra tips they should ask instead of robbing people.
The club is shit, once you've been to one club in ilford you've been to them all. Save your money Ilford's If bar is a myth. 0/10

Oh this was a Friday night and we cued for ages and it was empty when we got in. It filled up as the night went on but yyyyaaaaaaaawwwwwwwnnnnnnnnnnnn. If this is the best ilford has to offer, my advice don't bother.

If bar was terrible for me. I waited for ages in the line even though i had my i.d. card. As soon i got inside it was nearly empty and this was around 12:30am. The DJ was great though, the music was uplifting but the vibe wasn't there

We went last Friday for the Picture perfect event and on entering the club after an average 30 minutes wait in a line, your greeted with scenes of class and modern design. From the front door, to the bathroom, to the bar, to the dance floor to even the outdoor chess board the mood is set with the right lighting and scenery.
However beware, the staff have no manners, with security men posing rather than securing and choosing to opt for the harsh push rather than excuse me and waitresses giving it lip instead of hospitality.
By the end of the night you will be lucky if you even get your jacket back. Having paid a mere £2 for your possessions to be safe the wristband system does not work and you may find your jacket has either been "misplaced" or given to your "friend".
Drink prices was expected and yet not an array of options with the £20 bottle of Rose being the most popular. The Venue was indeed packed and air-conditioning on point.
In all the venue is nice albeit you may find yourself with an injured rib cage and bruised thighs whilst waiting for rude staff to locate your possessions in front of a crowd that could cause damage that mimics the Hilsborough disaster.

I went there last night (Saturday) for the 1st time and although the venue inside is awesome, we paid £15 to go in, we HAD TO leave our coats in the cloakroom (£1) & a Vodka Red Bull cost £7.35... come on, the club is in Ilford, not the West End! The staff were actually quite nice, however, on entering we were told that the music would be varied and from 10:30pm to 2am, the music was only Urban. We were obviously lied to, just to get us in, so not happy about that!

The first time I went to this club, it was empty, fair enough it had only recently opened, they literally begged you to come in...for free.
I found the door man to be polite, but the rest of the staff were rude and unprofessional. There was about 10 people in the club, one guy was dancing on the dance floor and a member of staff went round him with an air freshner.. he was about the only person dancing and having a good time. Then he got pointed at by the other staff and was told to leave, fair enough he might have been a tad smelly from the dancing, but it was sooo rude and no one was dancing anyway.

The second time, again staff rude, we didn't go inside the club, as they were charging £10 a person to get in, the club practically looked empty. They wouldn't allow us to have a peep, because wanted us to part with our money first! I had handed in my jacket to the cloakroom staff and paid my pound, then they told us its £10 each to get in, we didn't think it was worth it all, as it was empty, as I'd literally passed the cloakroom attendent my jacket and pound, and asked for it back, as we decided not go into the venue, she refused to give me back my pound, I just thought gawd your so petty.... talk about making people want to come or recommend the place. I haven't been back since..
With that kind of attitude, I won't be surprised if it shuts down.

I used IF Bar and Restaurant on Wednesday last week. I am a frequent user of IF Bar and Restaurant and I and very pleased to say that the food is excellent. However, the frequent staff changes are no good. My favourite staff member Renata had left for some reason. When I asked someone why she had left a person named Alana or Elaina, I can't remember, said that "she was not very good and had to go and that she didn't like Renata"! I was horrified at her remark! This was highly unprofessional and rude of her. "if" would do well not to employ someone like her. She'd be better off not being in an environment where there are people! She is everything I hate about a waitress! A companies name and brand are built on good customer and employee relationships! Get Renata back please or someone of a similar kind and professional nature. I also give praise to Oldga, she can be abrupt sometimes but she is excellent and gets straight to the point which is what you need sometimes. No flies on her to be fair. Steve Colgan

IF has all the makings of a proper West End club but without having to travel, security is wonderful they actually speak to the party goers. The have different promotions in monthly, urban on Fridays and commercial on Sats. Amazing venue, state of the art music system and lighting, much needed in Ilford.

I’ve been to IF Bar several times, mainly for their salsa nights on Tuesdays and for the last couple of weeks, their Friday night promotions which is catered to the more “urban” crowd playing R&B, Soul, Reggae etc. Saturdays is apparently their mainstream evening playing House music etc and caters to all crowds.

From the moment you walk in it’s hard to believe that such a venue could exist in Ilford, it apparently had a 3million pound refurb and it shows. I haven’t checked out their restaurant yet but I’ve been told the food is good.

Reading the reviews below I’m assuming both people were there on the 1st January as was I, which was a crazy night, not usual of their regular Fridays. From what I was told by the staff, the promoters they had for the 1st had apparently oversold tickets for their event and sold them to every and anybody and the club was literally swamped by undesirables with tickets. The toilet attendant couldn’t handle it and stormed out and security was kept extremely busy by extra boozy partygoers so they were trying to shut down the evening early.

From what I was told last week (which seemed to be back to their usual older classy Friday night crowd) they won’t be working with those promoters again.

If this club was in the West End it would be rammed everyday, I think the stigma of Ilford puts people off, but once people go there they will be hooked, just from the décor in itself.

Its an exceptionally classy venue superficially and at first glance of cos. Although the concept of the toilets is rather quite disgusting. If its meant to be contemporary. Then its not. Men and women sharing a toilet leaves alot to be desired as hygiene standards between men and women differ vastly. Couldnt make out what the white stuff was on the door in one of the toilets. But I seriously had to scrub my hands. If you want such a concept then you need cleaner manning the loos at least hourly.

Last but not least. The owner/ manager. Was extremely rude considering we were at the door in time for the guestlist. And he brazenly advised anyone who wasnt happy with his decision to cut it off. Get on the bus and go home. Good thing is we werent prepared to let him spoil our night after having travelled all the way from up north so we paid. He really needs A lesson in customer service. He should realise attitude makes or breaks a club. Afterall without the clients. The business is doomed. So why make it seem like we should be even greatful to be getting in. When clearly. I pay your wage.

If Bar is a very nice looking venue and adds much needed rnb/hip hop/funky flavour to Ilford.

Having gone to the comedy night today, the night started off well..the drinks are cheap although there was no drinks list or cocktails! There was also a distinct lack of seating for the 'non VIPs'.
The staff were quite friendly. During the comedy, the battery powered cordless microphone broke and didn't regain its use.

A fight later broke out- the lights were left on long after the fight stopped and so the night came to an end- although, we were kept in the dark with no mic we kind of didn't know whether we should stay or go. After having snuck into the VIP room which is a cool cave like room, so that we could continue to party as it seemed to be going on in there, another fight broke out so we called it a day and went home!

All in all, an would have been good night spoiled by fighting- security needed to be much quicker off the mark on that night and command more authority to save repeats!
