I will never go to this restaurant again. I went there for lunch since they posted the ad that they launch special lunch set menu. Fine! but main dish was mediocre. I ordered Chicken Korma and it was too sweet (Maybe the definition of Korma is bit different for them.)
What really made me mad was their price for a soft drink. They said they charged 2.00 pounds for a can coke. Can you imagine 2 pounds?
They totally ripped me off. If you really want to have indian food there is an another indian restaurant right next to this one, which provides food with reasonable price and quality.
Cheers
I was sent a link of this restaurant, I fallowed it up, very intresting .... they had videos of themself on youtube, and lotts of them. The restaurant is next door to the Strata Building at the Elephant & Castle - good location. Its a standard Indian menu but the food is very good, the service was also very friendly. I was very intrested about their Wednesday nights - Live music, looking forward to my next visit.
A lovely looking restaurant, next to the new Strata building at the Elephant & Castle. It looks and feels like a very cool place, more like a bar. The food was very aromatic and delicous, there were 2 other tables and I think everyone was interested in what each other were having. I loved my Elephant Walk (Mutton & Green Banana) dish But I loved my, ice cooled mango Lassi. A must try.
I'm a student at the Southbank Uni and I eat a lot of take-aways locally. I'm a frequent visitor of the Ivory Arch restaurant because the owner alwayss gives me a deal and he also lets my friends and I eat in the restaurant and charge us only the take-away Price's. We do save a lot of money and the food is alway fresh and delicious. Number 1 fan of the Ivory Arch Restaurant, Gregg the student.
We've been getting a lot of flyers through my door. The Ivory Arch fryer caught my attention, they were doing a 3 course meal for £9.95. I read through their menu, there were some very mouth watering dishes. My partner and I decided to give them a visit. We had a very pleasant experience, the food was delicious and the restaurant was very nice. We will be making more use of this £9.95 deal.
I visited this restaurant last Saturday and the service was first class and I really enjoyed the food. Nice atmosphere, good value for money. Will definitely go there again!

I forgot to put that the food is very delightful and my favourite is the Lamb Bhuna, tender sweet meats with plain rice and there chunky side salad is just mouth watering to think of now.
I look forward to this re-opening whenever it is, the new colour on the outside is a interesting choice.
I just hope that the Ivory Arch doesn't lose that spark it used to have before its club days. The hospitality and its comfort it gave me after those hard days at work.
I am very glad that the club business has been cleared and that the business seemed to have learnt but I just hope it will bring that unique X factor it had and become one of these intimidating places to eat food and drink.
Really, I got a wonderful taste. They know how to cook. The food is served hot n nicely with decoration.
Its a small eating house, its neat & clean, you can see into the kitchen which also looks clean. The food is very good and you can watch the news while your eating. The vegetarian section is very good, I'm sure you'll enjoy eating here. And they allow you to bring your own wine, they have a very good delivery service.
I've enjoyed reading about the Ivory Arch and its history. I remember the Ivory Arch having a very big profile in South London. I also know the owner, he really has a connection with the people of the Elephant & Castle. I've eaten @ the Ivory and can testify the food is delicious.
Ivory Arch has a long history. It started in 1986 as a Asian take away Curry House, the first curry delivery service in the Uk. Then it it developed into a fully licensed restaurant(in 1989).
In 1998 a group of black Business people started organizing dinner parties at the Ivory Arch, this proved to be very popular. After 1998 It became The Famous Ivory Arch Club, specially in the Black, West Indian community. Lots of Reggae Stars and Djs would come here to eat then stayed on for the after party.
Ivory Arch was the first Indian Restaurant that was also a Reggae Club in the UK and possibly the world. This carried on till October 2006 when Ivory Arch closed. It remained closed till October 2008, a two year period.
Now that Its open again, only as a restaurant & take away service,
I'm sure Ivory Arch will continue to make waves again. I'm a great fan and a friend of the owner who champions the Elephant & Castle.
Ivory arch was the lick! It will never be forgotten.
Ivory Arch is a terrible place. It's a place full of wannabe gangsters who think nothing of having at go at you to increase their reputation. The sooner Ivory Arch gets its licence revoked the better!
Ivory Arch is dry. When you walk in, you would think there is a bigger area to go to, but no, that's it.
Lord help you if you are a non smoker, it gets well humid and oh my days there are some freaks that go there. The music is heavy, the DJs are hyped but I really wouldn't recommend Ivory Arch. Just go to Ministry, man.
We love the Ivory Arch. We are four sisters from Paris and we love the music at the Ivory Arch and the way people dance inside. We will back in December.
We celebrated my friends 23rd Birthday at Ivory Arch and it was out of this world! I can't wait for the new year to celebrate my birthday there. Thank you Ivory Arch.
Nice vibes, good music and a good time is what is guaranteed at Ivory Arch. The relaxed atmosphere makes for a guaranteed good night out. That's what keeps me coming back to Ivory Arch again, and again and again.
We love the Ivory Arch. It's the only London club I know which is open 7 days a week. It has a great vibe and there's a great following. For RnB and reggae, Ivory Arch is the place! We love the Ivory Arch!
Great venue, great Djs and great music. Party vibes every night. The best club and restaurant in south London for Rnb and reggae plus reggaetoon which is latin reggae. See you there!
