Bach and Beethoven descend on Proud Camden!

Not content with the 'straitjacket' approach to classical music, Rhodes interacts with his audience, sharing his thoughts on the music and the composers, bringing a touch of rock n roll to each performance.

Rhodes’ concerts focus on the immersive experience that classical music can offer, a far cry from the raked seating and distant, spot-lit, white-tie-and-tails maestro stereotype that has ruled the classical performance world for so long.

James Rhodes will play a selection of compositions taken mostly from his highly successful debut album, Razor Blades, Little Pills And Big Pianos (Signum Records).

2009 has been a big year for James - first ever classical pianist at the Roundhouse (since the re-opening) in May, the nominations launch for the Classical Brit Awards in April and his debut performance at the Queen Elizabeth Hall in February. He will now be recording his second album over the summer and will then descend on New York City in the Fall. Catch him while he's still on home ground in London!
