What can i say - this is truly a place to be discovered! Karamel has gone through a transformation and is now a restaurant and gallery as well as venue.

A family welcome, excellent affordable home-made food with vegetarian and vegan options, great atmosphere, friendly staff and more... you never quite know who you'll bump in to from local artists to celebrities.

Last week saw Chris Difford (of Squeeze fame) and Chris Helme (Seahorses) perform at The Karamel Music Club, a twice-monthly evening of outstanding talented songwriters and musicians.

Tomorrow sees a performance and live video stream of Red Riding Hood & friends by Booster Cushion Theatre.

All nestled within the Chocolate Factory hub of creatives in Wood Green, N22 and a trip well worth making to sample the culinary delights of Chef Ian Marvell.

I visited a friend in North London recently and we were at a bit of a loss as to what do with ourselves. She'd heard about a jam session at the Karamel Club so we thought we'd pop down. Just wanted to say what a lovely time we had - really friendly people, a nice atmosphere and some surprisingly good acts. The Karamel Club's well worth a look.
