I was impressed generally. I thought the relationships between the works, even though it was a small show, size isn't everything was coherent and very interesting. The floor projection did function using non-specific abstract behaviour but I can see that for anyone with a chromaphobic tendency that might be a little difficult. Its similarity to the exploding plastic inevitable is cursory, the fact that it uses the notion of a whole colour field puts it into a completely different position and I think the point is completely missed looking from a narrow visual aesthetic. The wall projection is clearly dealing with a different although related subject matter. There are specific statements by, from what could gather, children to the very old. This is not about a simple aesthetic of colour but about relationship with colour, and they are not all pretty. Whether you travel with Bourriaud or not, there is the actuality of relational aesthetic and this work is submerged in it. The small prints, small though they were, are in a way the most intriguing of all. They were collective association and it was delving into the territory of data visualisation which is a very contemporary development. I think it would be great to see it on a much larger scale.
