If you’re already a big fan of the wonderful world of burlesque, the London Burlesque Festival is your chance to feast your eyes on the sexy, sassy and super glam.

London Burlesque Festival
Currently sweeping the nation as an alternative to typical club nights, burlesque shows are ideal if you like your ladies curvy and your music loud, or if you just want the chance to show off your best red lipstick and new pageboy haircut.

Don’t miss it
The London Burlesque Festival kicks off on 20th April and last year it was a glitterati gala of burlesque talent at Cafe de Paris, where the sexy performers were out in full force. Plenty cabaret acts were on stage, and you could hit the floor yourself to take advantage of the musical talent on offer, as Ta Mere, Mr B The Gentleman Rhymer and DJ Suave were spinning some top tunes to get you dancing.

Burlesque venues
The following nights will see performances at the Scala Nightclub, Bush Hall, and Madame Jojos, where the London Burlesque Festival will be hosting the best burlesque performers from the UK, America, and Europe.

Best of British
A highlight of the festival will be the Best of British Burlesque and Variety which takes place in two installments on the 2nd April at Madame Jojos. From English roses to campy local Londoners, there will be something to tease and tantalise you whatever your geogrpahical preference.

International talent
Not to let our foreign cousins off without a night to showcase their own talents, the International Gala Jetsetters Ball will see the creme de la creme of the international burlesque scene, with the likes of Coco Framboise and Lola Labelle on the bill. The Jetsetters Ball will take place at Bush Hall on Saturday 4th April.

The final curtain
Sadly, all good things must come to an end and the capital's burlesque fest closes its doors on Sunday 5th April 2009 at Cafe de Paris, with a secrets in lace fashion show and a variety of performances from burlesque entertainers from across the world, hosted by the wonderful Stella Plumes and with music from Chaz Royal and The Burlettes.

The London Burlesque Festival runs from 20th April - 25th April 2010 at various London clubs and bars.

Ticket prices vary from £12.50 - £39.50, depending on the individual event. For more information and full listings, click on the link below.
