What a night! Fantastic atmosphere, fab music, chilled crowd and reasonable prices. Top tip - book a table for dinner (also very tasty and decent portions) to get straight in at weekends. Otherwise be prepared to queue.

A night out to Lost in south London will not disappoint!
Quality resident dj's and friendy staff that know their stuff.
If the packed dance floor gets too much they have a nice little garden that also has a bar.
I recently ate there in the upstairs restaurant that overlooks the main bar. Guess modern british would best describe it, very good!!
Well worth a visit A+++
Word of warning though, arrive early as the queue on a Sat' often starts forming as early as 8!

I and a party of friends visited Lost Society on Friday, we all had a lovely meal which was cooked to perfection and the waiter was very friendly and we were treated to some great cocktails, we did have a wait a while to get served but when it comes
as good as this it is well worth the wait. very good.

This venue could be pretty cool (as we had heard prior to our visit) but is actually quite dreadful. We were a group of five very lovely ladies who wanted a girls night out somewhere with a cocktail list to die for and we had heard Lost Society was just the place. We tried to email The Lost Society in advance to reserve an area however no response was ever received (maybe it got lost?). We presumed that we would be fine if we arrived at 8.15pm but that’s where the trouble began as we encountered by a queue. The queue wasn’t too long and being British and we don’t mind a well-managed effective queue – however this was anything but. We queued for an hour with very minimal movement whilst a large number of random people seemed to be able to waft in with a bit of a wink and a kiss (in the most fake of all manners) for the door staff. Some drunken girls nearly started a fight by trying to blag their way into the queue, when my friend highlighted this to a bouncer he basically just ignored it (!). We reached the front of the queue by 9pm rather disillusioned but determined to sit it out after so much time invested. Then movement ground to a halt and we were informed of a one in one out policy (meanwhile large numbers of people ‘popped’ out with a stamp on their hand many not even returning). A while later 8 people left and we were then told that they now needed to wait for another two to leave so they could let in 2 people from the normal queue and two from the guest list queue at a time. 15 minutes later 6 people from the guest list queue were allowed to enter whilst we remained in the cold contrary to the promise. Another 15 minutes and we finally were granted entry at nearly 10pm!! To add insult to injury we were charged a £5 entry fee although we had noted many other people had not been required to pay this (probably you only have to pay after 10pm?). Once inside there seemed plenty of room for at least another 50 people (pretty much the whole queue). The décor of the

I returned to Lost Society for my second visit on Saturday night for some birthday drinks and meal.

The drinks were again fantastic as was the food. All well done and well priced. There were more people there than they had allocated a table for but the staff accommodated us the best they could, as they did with the veggies there (perhaps a few more veggie options would be good if there is to be no a la carte menu).

Overall it was a great night and that was mainly due to all the staff efforts.

What a cool, surreal place this Lost Society is. I had one of the best whiskey sours I have tasted followed oddly by a troupe of Samba dancing, Brazillian girls. It changed from a dull drizzly day to like being at the Rio festival. Granted my experience was one drink, totaling a 30 minute stay, but if it's anything like that again its my new favourite bar.

A truly awful night. The Lost Society bar staff just need to chill out and stop trying so hard to be cool. The music was very mediocre and it just lacked, full stop. Really did not enjoy the atmosphere there. The one good thing was the decor. would not go again, Lost Society is true to its name.

I'd heard great things about Lost Society and was really looking forward to our visit. The decor and atmosphere didn't disappoint, however the rest of our experience was dreadful.

First we were kept waiting for nearly 20 minutes to be seated at our table. We were sat downstairs and it was so noisy we could barely hear each other over the music. Our waitress obviously couldn't hear us either with several mistakes and missing items on our order which we had to ask for several times.

She even poured red wine into a glass which already had white wine in it, and then brought a glass of Merlot to replace the Columbard my friend asked for!

The food itself was unremarkable, although it was good value for money. I will go back to visit the Lost Society bar, but steer clear of the restaurant!

I go to Lost Society quite a lot and love it. I went in Friday night however and the bar manager was very rude and arrogant. The nice thing about Lost Society is that it has all the makings of a pretentious bar without the idiots. I fear this bar manager could be the idiot that attracts other idiots. A shame really.

I hope Lost Society doesn't go too cool on us. I think the bar manager could do with getting some personality. All the other bar staff are absolute stars and so friendly - perhaps the bar manager could learn something from them?

Lost Society is a very cool club, decked out beautifully with a fantastic atmosphere. There are no aggressive jerks here! The staff were great right from the doorman to the waiting staff and even the glassies were friendly. The music is funky and we all had a great time. Part of me hopes Lost Society remains a hidden gem.

My Lost Society starter had clearly been made earlier in the day as the fois gras terrine had been standing on the toast for hours making it soggy. The steak was over cooked, small, no particular cut and came with very poor sauce. During the meal I dropped my napkin and the waiter picked it up for me rather than replacing it. On the other occasion I picked it up myself. I had better meals when I was at school.

The only redeeming feature was the price, but it honestly felt like we were eating at a motorway service station rather than at Lost Society. We won't be returning and don't recommend it to others. The music was okay but was mostly drowned by the brash cacophony of the wideboy and bimbo clientele.

We travelled down from Manchester for a party at Lost Society last Friday and it was well worth it. It was a top night out. The Lost Society staff were great, and it's a wicked venue. The place was full of friendly people, all having a ball. I can't wait to visit again.

I heard that Lost Society was good so we decided to go down for a family and friends gathering last Saturday night. We got there at 6pm and had the place to ourselves for no more than an hour - by then it was rammed and that didn't change till the end. Don't be fooled by the website - Lost Society is tiny but that only makes it more intimate.

Everyone is really friendly, the music was funky and original with some live bongos going on. Plus, our little blonde Aussie waitress, who more or less just ran around for us all night was absolute nuts! It puts a big hole in your pocket but is worth every penny if you haven't been before.

I organised my birthday party at Lost Society and had 25 people arranged. I was told not to book and just turn up early which we did. I was then turned away at the door as there was a tickets only Halloween party on that night. I explained the situation and there was no empathy whatsoever. In fact the door man was quite indifferent which left me with 25 people and no venue.

Luckily there was one next door but I will never go back and would not recommend Lost Society to anyone.

I went for lunch at Lost Society and the food was fantastic, the staff were very nice and chatty. Lost Society is my new favourite bar. I can't wait to have a night out there as the cocktail list looks amazing.

It is a good size, not too big, and the decor is very funky. The only downside is that they don't have your average bottled beers. You must go and check it out though.

Went to Lost Society last week, and they had sexy looking bar and staff who were pretty laidback and willing to help. But as far as delivering expectations we were let down. We thought we would be surrounded by similar types drinking quality cocktails but it was more like a bunch of antipodeans drinking beer.

We ordered some cocktails which took too long to get to us only to be the wrong drinks. We then had a Mediterranean share plate and it was extremely dissapointing. The bread was good but there was simply was not enough. We left because some guy in a check shirt took my drink away, and it turns out he actually works there and was cleaning the tables. That's fine but my drink was still half full.

We left wondering what the hype about Lost Society was. You can totally understand that mistakes happen, especially when a bar is very busy, but they were not and they had an abundance of staff standing around.

Lost Society is actually a small place with average music. Me and my boyfriend sat on the edge of sofa that was shared with some other people, and a fat girl, who had reserved the area close to us, asked us to move. We moved somewhere else but she wasn't happy because she asked again.

We said no, because there were two empty sofas, so why should we and she came back with a bouncer. He politely asked us to move and offered us a drink instead. I said to bouncer that I didn't need a free drink which I could buy for myself, he should be more concerned about losing customers. Lost Society is just an average place for an average person.

Lost Society is Lost in its own ego. Perhaps when it was first conceived this bar may have had something special, as suggested by other reviews. It would appear however that as with so many rapid success rate bars, that amiable turns to arrogance, and informal to impertinent.

If you manage to avoid the ridiculous queues at Lost Society spilling out into the road from the start of the night, the same challenge awaits you on entry. You will then encounter bar staff who are far too self important, and when you will be served is a complete lottery, unless you are on first name terms with a good cosmetic surgeon.

Don’t waste your time. There are better bars where you could be enjoying yourself rather than standing outside on a street corner.

Went along to Lost Society for the Burlesque show last night with some mates. There was an impressive array of beers and the decor was good. Then paid £12 to go upstairs to watch the show itself. DJ set kept skipping, the show was badly organised, the show was overcrowded and the acts were laughable.

Some of my friends quickly realised the inevitable and left Lost Society, asking for their money back. If only I had done the same.

What can I say? There has been a lot of hype about Lost Society and it's all deserved.

We did the full experience - food, cocktails, dancing. We went to Lost Society on a Saturday night, the place was full by 8.30pm, there was a live singer, the people were beautiful.

All of us ate and the food was fantastic, a great selection and something for everyone. We worked our way through the cocktail list, classics and in-house creations, beautiful.

Lost Society will certainly become our local, even though we live in Balham.

I have just hosted a party at Lost Society. I decided to try my luck even though we were told that the areas they reserve had been taken. But we arrived early and left late. Everyone had a great time, there was an incredibly friendly vibe to the place from the door through to the bar.

I'd heard a lot about Lost Society so I tried to hire an area for my birthday. There weren't any available but the guy on email told me to come down as there are other areas available. We went down at 5pm and the place was empty, but we were told we could only sit in the garden until 7pm as it was reserved.

We then moved inside and practically the whole place had a reserved sign on it. We found the only area that wasn't, sat down, got comfortable and prepared to tear into the bar when the manager came along and told us that we couldn't sit there as it was reserved for groups of 2 or 3. So we sodded off to Artesian Well right next door and had an amazing night thanks to the helpful staff who actually worked reserved tables around to accommodate all 15 of us. So, in short, screw Lost Society, long live Artesian Well!

Lost Society is certainly deserving of all the good reviews it has had recently. I went on a Friday night, four of us ate and the food was absolutely amazing. We were led through the cocktail list by very friendly bartenders too - something which bars in Clapham seem to be missing.

We were supposed to go on to the White House but were having such a good time that we stayed till 2am. As the night went on the volume increased (but not to ear piercing levels) and the dancing began. We had a brilliant time at Lost Society and will definitely be going back. It's a bar that has it all, nice one!

I've been to Lost Society in the week and thought it was great - friendly staff, very chilled and a good range of people.

However, the weekend is a completely different matter - the staff remain great but it was packed with clone-like Claphamites; had bland house music played so loud you could barely have a conversation but wouldn't want to dance either (too full and music bland); unbearably hot (I can't imagine what it would be like in the Summer months) and just unpleasant generally...

Lost Society is in such a lovely building but I was really disappointed by the recent re-furburbishment. Bring back the tea rooms!
