I saw the event at the Royal festival in London Tuesday evening and it was simply awful. What a waste of time and money.

Here are just a few points why:

1) An old clip of Rick Stein cutting his finger on a mandolin. Seeing this once was distressful enough, but having the producers repeatedly show it throughout the evening was unbearable. Childish and very unprofessional.

2) You would think this is a joke, but it was not. Rick Stein actually did a Sashimi dish. In other-words, he cut up some raw fish and put it on a plate. Come on... i didn't come all the way down from Bristol to see this. Is he for real?

3) Hugh Fearnley Whittingstall was more focused on drinking a large quantity of different ciders then he was cooking. Did he not think he was setting a bad example to the underage people in the crowd?

4) I bought and paid good money for one of Rick Stein's cooking books only to find out after his show, that he was not doing any signings. Thanks Rick for making the effort. I certainly wont the next time around.

Yours truly,
A cooking fan feeling completely ripped off.
