1-star is too much for this place. What a pretentious, over-sensitive, discriminatory & genuinely rude place. The bouncers & door-girl need to learn some people management skills. NOT WORTH QUEUING FOR. The door staff don't even know how to manage a queue! Some stand here. No now you stand here. You, stand there. Now you move to here. Ridiculous!!! DO NOT GO HERE EVER! Unless you're *that* type of person.....!!
star rating of this place is 0. the staff are very rude, serious attitude problems. had to wait an hour in the queue. was cold. the staff would not inform of us of whats going on. only when we got to the front I was told i couldnt wear FLAT SHOES. think its discrimination that your NOT ALLOWED to go in there if your wearing FLAT SHOES!!!! SERIOUSLY. what a lame excuse. you can get in if you wear heels. what if you have problems with your feet which meant you couldnt wear heels. this place is a disgrace. does not make sense that guys can get in as they wear flats!!! hmmm. WILL NOT BE GOING BACK THERE!.
one star is way too much for this club!! as a regular clubber in Mayfair: Luxx is tiny and not worth even a 5 minute wait in the queue.
The stuck up door staff are extremely rude and aggressive. Especially the fake blond foreign girl. Do not go!!
I would recommend Jalouse or Cuckoo for a fab night out.
worst door girl ever...totally ruined my friend's bday soiree, will never go there again...
one of the worst clubs I have ever been to. I have visited many high end London clubs, getting a table with a group of friends and I can honestly say that this place is awful. I feel bad saying this as the owner is a close friend of my sister, however, the atmosphere is tense and aggressive, the music system poor and it is always crushed. The staff were very rude and shoving us around as we were going to our table and the bar staff spend most of their time chatting people up, other friends who have been in for a drink have complained about how long they have had to wait to be served and how rude the bar staff have been when there has not even been a que.
I would say overall avoid this place if you are looking for a good night out!
I would definitely recommend Luxx.
Great music from resident dj's. They get the odd superstar dj in also such as Afrojack, DeadMau5 and others..
People complaining about queues are stupid. It is like complaining that a supermarket is rubbish because there is a line of people in front of you at the check out. It doesn't make sense.
Cool crowd. A bit small, but again this is not a negative as it is the style of the club - Smaller & intimate. The smoking terrace outside is a great place to meet people and chat.
Drinks are reasonably priced for Mayfair. If you were expecting £2 a drink in the first place then you are in the wrong area of London to start off with, but at the same time they are not a rip off like some Mayfair clubs that extort you.
There are really no complaints here. Staff are also very nice! Not something you get everywhere!
I will give it 4.5 out of 5!
Luxx is such a great club. I went to London for a week and I have been in Luxx for three times. I couldn't get enough of it met a lot of people there. Everyones friendly. Music was insanely great ! Everyone was like family. It was so much fun. What I mostly liked about it is the international crowed. The rich Arabs are very friendly, the Italians are a lot of fun, I met Russians that I am now doing business with. There are a lot of beautiful women at Luxx. Luxx is the place to be !
Pros:
Nice venue
Easy to get in if you know the right people
Cons:
Very picky staff (girls, wear black coats and nothing that screams primark or river island, the door staff are judgemental)
Long queues
Lots of random steps everywhere
Long queues for the toilets
Very small room so always crowded and therefore lots of pushing
