Had a great time at Maggie's. Really fun place and all the staff were friendly. Danced the night away...the music was great. Real 80's club. But it is very expensive. £20 in and £10-£15 a drink and having to stand and Que for half an hour to get in was not fun.
£47 for a round of five Jägermeister shots ON TOP OF £20 to get in - That's all I'm saying ;)
great night last night, lots sexy girls.music were brilliant, love maggie's shooters . PS. have some photos with super Mario, awesome
I went to Maggie's last week with two of my friends and we had the BEST PARTY ever! We didn't have a table reservation or guest-list, yet we could get in quite easily around 2300. Probably its a good idea to go before the crowd. The staff is very nice, they are all dressed up, dancing and smiling - and making amazing cocktails, with the umbrellas and sparkles, very 80`s! Was absolutely worth to pay £20 to get in, the music was amazing we could not stop dancing! This is the nightclub in London everybody has to go to at least once!!!
Went to Maggie's for the first time about 2 weeks ago and have been back several times since. Went last Thursday, quieter than Saturday but had a rocking time still! Big thank you to the girl in the cloakroom for helping me find my coat at the end of the evening, had my keys/wallet/everything in it. So please pass on the message to her if anyone from Maggie's reads this. Thank you. P.S. Loved the Super Mario waiter!
Best night I have had out in a LONG time! Had to queue for a little while but was completely worth the wait. Friendly staff, great music mix of 80s best and cocktails are amazing (can't remember the name but the one in the giant martini glass is a must!). Really good find...will be back again.
If I could rate minus stars I would. The worst club I have been to- Just awful staff, the owner is a retard and the crowd was mostly sleazy guys.
DO NOT GO HERE! My girlfriend's colleague is leaving so their company had arranged a party. We got to the door at a reasonable time and after about 10 minutes the group were let in, except my girlfriend and I. We mentioned we were all together and then told abruptly to be patient. 10mins later a few other guests had been let through, so my girlfriend asked politely why we weren't being let in- this was answered with "D'ya wanna get in or not?!" I was so angry and asked the door girls name- it's Monica. I've worked with The Roof Gardens, Maddox, Jalouse, Raffles and numerous other clubs in London and I've never seen or been talked to like this, plus they expect you to pay £20 with such treatment!!?? The owner is Max Sterling and I hope he reads this. If this review can pursuade you not to go, then it was worth writing. If anything, go to Raffles down the road
I really am surprised of all the 5 star ratings that the friends of the club is posting. Went to Maggies on Sat of last week and received a very cold reception from the security and the door picker. We paid and managed to go inside, nothing special, had to wait over 10min to get served, music very cheesy and needs improving big time. I had to go to make a phone call and stopped for a second on the stairs to answer the phone when a hand grabbed held of my shoulder and squeezed. As I turned around it was the security and he started pushing me, so I quickly put the phone away and demanded an explanation. I got pushed all the way to the top of the stairs and than told "you don't use phone inside". What's all this about? I have come across the manager before (Max) so I'll definitely point the guy out to him, that's if I ever go there again. Well after such treatment I quickly got my friends out and went to Raffels and had a decent night.
I went to Maggie's for a hen party. We all had such a great night. Great atmosphere and good service. We had a table which was in the middle of the dance floor which to me was the best table! Was fairly expensive but no different to any neighbouring clubs/bars. A place you have to go at least once!
Was dragged along to this place kicking and screaming. The idea of an 80s club named after Maggie Thatcher really didn't appeal but I have to admit I had the best night ever and will most certainly be back. The whole thing was incredibly refreshingly new and different...and just great great fun!
Very good, Great concept. Well done.

I went to this club on Friday night. Had a great time music was fab, cocktails were very tasty. My only complaints would be size but it wasn't over crowded and the table we had was a bit out the way. Will definitely be going back (but asking for a different table!!)
Very disappointed with this club. I agree with the last review, the Manager (owner) is a complete idiot with no sense of customer service whatsoever, I think his name is Max, I was there last night and completely ruin our night, arrogant, rude and made us feel very uncomfortable. is a shame as the place is nice, and has a good vibe.
Awful club with the rudest most unhelpful manager I have ever had the displeasure of meeting. The club is tiny and overpriced, but I would have coped with this if it wasn't for the extremely poor attitude of the so called general manager. Rude doesn't cover it.
what is that? you have to stay a member to go to Meggie's!!! we are two girls and the stuffs told us sorry you have to stay member to come in the club!!! the woman in front of the club is very unfriendly!!! i hope I'll meet her in Italy in front of my club ;-) !!!
This is singlehandedly the WORST 'club' I have ever been to in London. Arrogant staff, terribly DJ'd music and overpriced. If you want a great night out in London, do not go here.
Had a great night in Maggie's in mid-July. The place certainly filled up before it was very late. I loved the costumes of the girls doing table service, luckily for me I was on someone's table. Though I'm not sure if it was actually alright to dance on the seats. Everything in there sparks memories for those of us born in the 80s who can remember snippets from early childhood. The place is very west London and in that respect isn't totally my thing, but I had a good dance and that means I must have been having a good time - I liked how the music changed up as the night went on and broke out into current stuff.
Great place, played good music and was genuinely a good night.
Got in without even to que up for ages.Door staff and a host outside are quite friendly, bar staff are very efficient, and yet do not have sour faces like most bar staff in clubs.I don!t know what are all these people talking about when saying that them having problems with door staff and a host.We went there both thursday and friday and both days everything went so fast without problems.Place you must see, guaranteed a fabulous time.
We went to Maggie's last Friday and had an amazing night. Music was cool 80s, rather than cheesy, and the atmosphere in the place was great. Interesting decor with lots of 80s fun to look at. Definately worth checking out if you want to re-live your youth!! Have to disagree with the below, door staff were helpful and accomodating.
Agree with previous reviewers. The entrance looks quite cool. The black and white stairway leading down into the club is similar to Bungalow 8 (albeit vertical rather than horizontal stripes). Whilst this is promising, that's where the experience ends. The club is quite small (smaller than Kitts) and has and open layout with a couple of booths with very small private tables. The decor is of a very poor standard. Before the lights are dimmed you can see where the plasterwork hasn't been finished properly (it's shocking). The 80's theme has been poorly applied throughout. The bar has a 'Cocktail' sign, designed as a tribute to the hit 80's movie. Rather than being a cool neon sign though this just looks like it was picked up at a tourist shop in Leicester Square. Behind the bar there's a couple of iced drink machines with 'Slush Puppy' stickers on them. The least they could have done was get some originals, these don't look anything like the 80's. The main wall of the club is adorned in spray paint with pictures of 80's icons. This looks awful. Their depictions of Mr T and Sonic The Hedgehog are criminal, it honestly looks as if the whole wall was done on a shoestring budget. The rest of the decor is just as bad. It's reminiscent of Crazy Larry's (before they refurbished it). Unfortunately the music was not good either. Whilst they were spinning some good 80's tunes the DJ couldn't mix. The drinks menu was novel but the prices were offensive given that most student bars look better than this. There are far better places on the Fulham Road to spend your time. 1 Star (because they had music and drinks). Avoid.
Agree with some of the comments by earlier reviewers. Didn't have problem with the doorman, but the staff leave their commercial business sense at the door, I guess, even if you have reserved and paid for a large table. Music was huge disappointment - not 80s, but cheesy 90s: DJ hadn't ever heard of Thompson Twins, for instance. Many clubs are small and crowded - goes with the territory of popular scenes - but this was particularly small and particularly crowded. Thank God I was there with terrific friends as they made the evening fun for me... certainly the club tried its best to ruin it. One star - if a club not only doesn't contribute to a good night out but actively sabotages a fun evening, walk away.
Yesterday night I went to this club and I found it outrageously expensive for what it actually offers. The place is far too small and over-packed with people that are always pushing you, so you practically don't dance but waste your time cursing at them. The staff both at the entrance and inside the club is extremely rude. Just because Maggie's is located in South Kensington, the staff treats you like shit and is super-snobbish and arrogant. The music selection is pretty boring, not really good for dancing: there is that sort of awkward music not fast, not slow that you never know how to dance. Drinks are really expensive too: minimum 9 pounds for a Mojito.
I strongly advice you not to go here if you wanna have a pleasant and fun night with your friends.
As a fan of 80's music I tried this club last week, hoping for a more up-market version of the other popular retro-clubs around. Being SW10 it is quite up-market & sloaney but they didn't really play much 80's music. Live saxophonist was a nice touch but gave more of hotel lounge atmosphere than a club and he played George Michael's Fastlove in the first hour which was a 90's song anyway!
In conclusion if you want a.n.other sloaney hang-out I'm sure you'll get on just fine here but if you actually want an 80's club I'd go elsewhere.
Absolutely loved it... terrific 1980s music and style... so vibrant and fun! I'll be back!
By far the best nightclub in London, and the best night out I've had in years!
Really friendly staff on the door (which is a rare thing at London clubs), really friendly and HOT staff inside, delicious cocktails, reasonable prices, amazing music...the list goes on and on!
I'm already planning another trip to the 80's this weekend and can't wait!
Great Venue!
Great Service!
Great and Sexy Staff!
Great Cocktails!
Only Down Point was the Music!
