Is there anything better than organising a function where all your guests have a fantastic time?! We celebrated my boyfiends birthday at Market Place in one of the booths in the basement bar and everyone had an amazing time. The atmosphere was groovy, yet relaxed. The staff were attentive and friendly, the music rocked and the food was tasty and well priced.

Market Place is a great venue for a special occassion, or just an after work drink. The lay out lends itself nicely to a dinner outing also. They cover all bases at Market Place, everyone should have a go!

I love Market Place! Every time I visit London my girlfriend and I always pop in there for a bite to eat and a quiet drink.
The food is gorgeous and in my opinion very reasonably priced.I have always found the staff to be polite.
I Would recommend Market Place to anyone looking for something funky and different.

I would only recommend going to Market Place if you want to stand outside, far, far away from the very rude (slightly mad) waitress, who obviously resents her job greatly! I really wouldn't bother putting money into the tills at Market Place - the staff couldn't give a ....

Market Place felt like a breath of fresh air when it opened but word soon got out and huge queues soon developed for what is, at the end of the day, a pub that looks like a Swedish sauna. And the last few times I've been it smelt of vomit. Hope Market Place returns to form sometime soon!

Market Place used to be a well-kept secret. However, if you go there now an hour after work you're likely to find the place heaving. Unfortunately, its success may well be its own downfall since it results in long waiting times and harassed staff. The food though, when you get it, is tasty. Would recommend you to check it out, outside peak hours.

It's a cosy laid back place to chill out (in the cave) and have a bottle of wine and some munchies. Polenta chips are a must.

Avoid Marketplace. The Bouncers are thugs. The staff and management are rude and extremely unhelpful.

Here is a well kept secret... Market Place is 2 mins from Oxford Circus. No tourists, no tossers, just Londoners enjoying the laid back, calming ambience and taking it all in. Great food, great location. But please keep it to yourselves!

I like Market Place a lot!
This is a review by a girl who has seen many a pub so knows what she’s talking about. Now pay attention!

This has to be one of my favourite haunts in London, and that’s not just because they serve the biggest bottle of beer in the world ever (helps though)!

It’s a great crowd that gathers at Market Place – trendy, whilst still managing to be down to earth and not at all ‘up their own …..’ as a lot of central London crowds can be. And on any given night, the DJ’s truly rock. It’s a great place to just sit and chat to mates or alternatively, have a boogie (bonus that it has a late licence). Good place to meet new friends as well, if you are tiring of your old ones.

To me the two most important factors that can make/break a night out are the music and the crowd. To create the perfect atmosphere, these have to be just right and at Market Place they are, in my humble opinion anyway.

If you are looking for somewhere funky and friendly in Central London that all your mates will love – this is it! I have introduced many mates to this place and I must say I have had not one unsatisfied customer as yet!

Oh, and the décor is fab too!
