We bought tickets for the NYE celebrations on the MV London Belle. It was a horrendous experience!Firstly, I wanted to clarify a couple of details with the originator before the party and I contacted their ticket office a couple of times but nobody bothered either to reply to my email or answer the phone. Secondly, it was not specified on their website what the dress code is and some people showed up in glamorous outfits and some in jeans. This should be as bit clearer so nobody feels ridiculously awkward! The boat was completely overcrowded and felt dangerous! I am not quite sure if it is actually legal to take some many people on such a small boat – no space to sit, no space to put a jacket (it is winter, what do we suppose to do with our outfits?!). We had to queue over 30 min for some nibbles as there was no space to move. At the midnight not everybody could go on a tiny deck to see the fireworks. The boat was actually on the side of the fireworks’ display and we had a restricted view. When I watched it again on TV a day later I had an impression that we saw a completely different fireworks display! (TV version much better!)Also, there suppose to be a free glass of champagne at midnight included in the price of the ticket– the champagne happened to be a sweet, warm sparkling wine. I need to mention that there was nobody on the boat who could give as any advice and we did not know where to seek for information. Finally, when we bought the tickets months ago we were informed that after the cruise finishes we can enter for free Opal club which is on the other side of the river. When we got to the club (which was not easy as many streets were closed) we discovered that this was a big SPAM. The manager of the club did not know about any arrangement with London Belle and he did not want to let us in! I do NOT recommend the MV London Belle for the NYE party to anybody! Save your money for something better!
